Definitely recommend them, I been with them for the past 3 years and have had no issues with them. The couple times ive needed them to come out to my home its always very prompt and the communication is great. The staff is awesome, Catalina and Crystal are the «go to» girls :) very professional, polite, great customer service over all! Thank You!

Not at all happy with their services! Advise to use other property management companies in town. They received rents from my tenants and was depositing money into an account that I was not familiar with. When asked the reason why for I was the person who was paying all bills pertaining to these properties, they refused to talk to me. I finally had to threaten Equity with a legal letter. As co-​owner of several rentals, my experience with them was a complete nightmare.

I have used the Equity Group for a little over 2 years now. I agree with others that their management fee is reasonable and so are their maintenance charges when things need to get fixed. They are good at getting tenants quickly when needed and I always get my rent on time with them.
My one complaint about them would be that they aren’t the best at facilitating communication. Typically on service requests, etc I am the one initiating follow up with them to get repairs approved and verify that repairs were completed. I suspect this lack of follow through is cause for some tenant complaints I have read in other reviews as I wouldn’t expect that all property owners are as proactive.
Regarding some tenant complaints I have read regarding security deposits, I for one would always prefer to return the full deposit. That means that I can get the rental back on the market right away with minimal extra expenses. While I can’t speak to others experiences I can offer the advice to take pictures before you move in and when you leave. As the owner I when not returning full deposit I have before/​after photographs to illustrate why extra expenses were required.

I have been using The Equity Group for about 3 ½ years and have been very pleased. Their management fee is reasonable and I’ve had a couple of tenants purchase their own home and move out and they have been on top of getting new tenants in. I read a couple of the reviews from tenants that didn’t get their deposits back and from the other side sometimes it is hard to see what needs to be done in order to return the property to its original rental state. One of my previous tenants got the majority of their deposit back and the other got about half for the record. I know how frustrating it is to not get your deposit back. It has happened to me at the last two places I have rented. Unfortunately, that is standard in this industry these days. About 15 years ago, I used to always get my full deposit back but now they seem to always take at least 20% of it. It’s just an additional cost of renting these days.
