Frank’s Liquor & Superette

Just bought a pack of cigarettes and walked outside and smoked one only to realize the pack was old and stale. I walked back in the store and was helped by the new arab owner. He denied the purchase and told me I must have bought them someone else and there was nothing he could do. He even admitted they were old. I will never shop there again. I miss the original owners of Franks. They were the best.

I ordered a keg of Pacifico, and I received a keg of Bud light instead. They supply based on what they have available instead of what the client requests. When I returned the keg, they tried to play games and claimed the tap was not theirs so that they could keep my deposit. BEWARE! Terrible service.

Frank’s liquor has been on my bucket list for a few years. He has become an icon in Visalia for having the newest released craft beer on hand, and an incredible stock of regular release craft beer. No one told me about his selection of fine cigars! Holy cow this place is a gold mine of awesomeness. I felt so manly walking through the aisles of this store. I told Frank that this is one of those stores that husbands save their cash up to shop at. Because shopping here with a debit or credit card would end in a wife being upset about how much money you spend. It was a blast hanging out and checking out all of the products that Frank has to offer here. The cigar selection is pretty incredible for a store that doesn’t have cigar in it’s name. When rating cigar stores I typically look to see if they have my favorite cigars, Padron 1964 or 1926 series. They have both. The prices are typical for a cigar store carrying this quality of cigar. I cannot rate the humidity or shelf quality of the cigars, because I didn’t have any cash on hand. hehe I’ll be back! Stop by, it is worth it!

I just went in this place and just because I’m not a regular customer, the cashier charged me five bucks extra for a six pack of beer! This store can suck a Big One! Thieves come in all shapes and forms! That right there is Bad Business!

This averages out to a three because I give five stars to the shop and one for the treatment by an employee. Pretty sure I’m not the only woman he’s been so incredibly condescending toward. My mom and I were both shocked.
First, this is a great shop. I’d consider it a hidden treasure in Visalia. The wine room is awesome and the first employee who helped me was polite and friendly. Then another man came in and took over. He was rude, condescending, and seemed to be under the impression I couldn’t read. Then, when I asked him if he realized he was coming across as very condescending, he told me I had «attitude.» I’m sure I did have the attitude of someone who was really, really irritated. Horrible. I complained to the manager, so I hope he’s not working there the next time I go in. If he is, I’m walking right out.
This is a great shop, and I’d love to keep patronizing it. I hope they take care of this problem employee.

Ok, so a caveat — this is my corner liquor store, so I frequent this place a lot simply due to it’s proximity to me. That said, they do have an amazing selection of beer, wine, liquor, and cigars. Can’t find that rare bottle you’ve been searching for? Ask one of the friendly and knowledgable sales clerks — chances are they can special order it for you. Prices are a bit higher than some other locations, but based on the service and selection, I always recommend Frank’s for all your alchohol and tobacco needs. Oh yea, they also do occasional beer and wine tasting events!

What a great little place with a good beer, wine, and newly added large cigar selection. Employees are always friendly and informative as well.

Was waiting for my carry out order from across the street when I decided to check out franks. I’m a whiskey drinker and was checking out their selection when someone asked if they could help me. Gotta admit, I was a little taken aback because I’m used to shopping at big box stores with no customer service. The guy knew his whiskey and recommended a great single barrel Evan Williams. I will definitely shop there again

I was looking for a liquor store that carried flavored vodkas. I went on Unilocal and found the reviews for Frank’s. I had a feeling Frank’s wouldn’t disappoint. It turns out I was right. Almost half of the back wall was full of every flavor and brand of vodka imaginable. It was only $ 10.99 for all flavors of Pinnacle. I grabbed Cookie Dough and Marshmallow. I wanted more but I had to remind myself that I don’t drink often and have no use for 10 different flavors of vodka. I was helped by a very nice and Knowledgeable gentleman. Not a big wine drinker but noticed they had an excellent selection. On some things the price was good and on others not so much. Wish I had more time to check out the beer and other items. I could have easily killed an hour looking at everything. Amazing selection. Will be back.

At first glance when u walk in, it looks like any other liquor store. In the back however there is a decent variety of hard alcohols (rum, vodka, etc). Some really cool hard to find brands. The wine room in the very back has a great selection, but I’m not a wine drinker so I can’t tell u much about that. There is a case with cigars, and other then that it’s just like a quickie mart kinda store. Employees seemed really nice each time I have gone in.
