Stale chips and salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce with onions and cilantro. Food was not horrible but not good enough for me to go there again. Place has an odd smell to it and the steamboat stained window kills the Mexican vibe

I have been her twice for breakfast and I have to say their breakfast is great! I get the chorizo and eggs with rice and beans, the portion was generous and was served with fresh homemade corn tortillas. My only complaint is the service, the servers seemed apathetic and lacked any energy and/or motivation for their job. I would go again.

2.5 stars, had to go for a birthday dinner and was disappointed. The salsa tastes like everyone says, canned tomatoes with some onions and cilantro. Chips were stale. I ordered the fajitas(steak, chicken, shrimp) and it was ok nothing special. The steak had lost of fat, which I didn’t eat any of it. Service was good, nothing special either.

Customer service is amazing here! Very friendly, and right on top of things! Tables were clean, and the food was delicious! Prices are amazing too if you get there between 11 to 2! I will definitely be coming back!

Enjoyed some great tasting Micheladas and enjoyed a great Chorizo, beans and rice. Great service. We had a wonderful waitress…

One of the best Mexican Restaurant I’ve ever been too. I love the camarones rellenos because they are stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon and covered with hot red sauce… Also the Micheladas have their own mix and it’s amazing.

This place is just gawd awful!!! We used to go there occasionally a long time ago when it was something fresh I think… half mexican and half healthy American(salads and sandwiches) even then we never liked it much!!! We always liked the bar there so decided to come back today and it was a full mexican menu. The sercice was AWFUL. She acted like she had so much better to do… we asked for guacamole since the salsa tastes like it’s from the can and they bring a tiny plate with 4 chips sticking out of it. We needed more chips but they just walked away. They never brought napkins, or anything!!! The food was gross, I have no idea why I tried the pastor but it tasted like meat flavored with BBQ sauce that came out of the microwave. The waitress recommend the green sauce and the flavor I got was sour… no heat or flavor. It was GROSS. BYTHEWAY… this business needs to fix those awful sunk in bricks outside on the entryway before someone breaks their necks!!!

Went on the first of the month. The service and food was OK. I had a 3 item combination plate that came with a taco, chile relleno, tostada. The chile relleno was good, the taco or tostada not so much.

By far the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been too. Took the waitress 45 to take our drink orders and only because we chased her down. Had to find her again to place our food order. Which took another 30 minutes, another 30 minutes to get our food. The service was just terrible. I had the flautas which was so over cooked the chicken was beyond edible. Will never go back to this place again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It had bad food and even worse service. And we paid $ 53.00 for it! Also, after I went to the kitchen myself to ask for chips and salsa because I was tired of waiting, the salsa tasted like some weird fire roasted ketchup. It was horrible. We wanted to leave before we could even order because it was taking so long. But we stayed because we were with other people. I’ll never be going back.

Friendly service but slow. took about an hour for 2 people after we sat down. Salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce, Food was bland and lacked flavor, of things tried, chile relleno, enchiladas and fajitas are decent.

Awful food, awful service, and overpriced for what they serve. The salsa tasted like canned hunts tomato sauce with some cilantro in it. I got a simple chicken sandwich from their«something fresh» menu with a side of clam chowder. I figured if they have a huge seafood sign out front(mariscos) and they offer clam chowder as a side, it’s probably homemade and a specialty of theirs. It was canned crappy soup, with skin on top and all. The chicken was super dry and tasted awful. My hubby got the shrimp rellenos after seeing some good reviews about it on Unilocal. He said it just tasted like shrimp with tomato sauce on it. The server was rude and acted like we were bothering her, and we waited 45 minutes after we were finished eating before she even made an appearance to our dining room. One we got our food, she vanished. Other tables were getting annoyed too waiting for checks, or to ask for something as we all kept looking around for her. Will never go here again. And it’s a shame because the restaurant has potential, the atmosphere is nice.

A pleasant Mexican restaurant with home made entrees of high quality and creative recipes. The service was exceptional, food was good. Their specialties were based on seafood and the Shrimp Rellenos I had were outstanding. A good choice for our dinner.

We have been here many times, and have consistently enjoyed our meals. We recently celebrated my grandmother’s birthday here. Everyone in our party of ten was very impressed with the food and the service. They still have the complete Something Fresh menu and prepar it exactly like they used to. Their Mexican food is great. The chimichangas and pollo a la casa got rave reviews from our table. Chips were warm, margaritas were $ 3, and the overall price was so reasonable! I would suggest you give this place a try.

I have never been impressed with this place. The food, dried up carnitas and stale taquitios, will ruin your night. And if you want to drink that pain away you have to wait for the rude and bartenders to come over and make you a stiff drink. Which is the only good thing about this place.

I was very disappointed in their food and service. The food was not hot, enchilada was dry, and had no flavor. We were the only customers in there and the service was horrible!

Service sucks. Waitresses act annoyed by customers. Food not worth that bad treatment. There is way better Mexican food in Visalia.

The food was cold for me too. The salsa was meh. Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t bad, but a cold meal is like a girl texting on a first date.

I was very happy to see Something Fresh reopen, as it was always one of my favorites. The new restaurant is mostly Mexican food with a few of the old Something Fresh menu items. I must admit I’ve never tried the new menu and have stuck to my favorites from the original Something Fresh so my review is based solely on that. However, I’m happy to say they are just as yummy as ever. I highly, highly recommend the clam chowder, it’s just as good as anything you will get on the coast. Also, the strawberry margaritas are made with fresh strawberries and the bartender isn’t stingy on the tequila. They also have some pretty decent bar specials throughout the week, but of course, Margarita Monday is the best ;) The last few times I’ve gone the restaurant seems really quiet so I don’t know if people just don’t realize they’ve reopened or maybe it’s because the shopping center it’s in has lost a few anchor tenants and seems a bit deserted these days. but the service is prompt and courteous, and the
