I had these guys clean up a bike that I bought used recently and they did a great job. Craig, Rudy and Fonzie all seem to be solid guys; they’re approachable, easy to talk to and helpful. I chose them based on a word of mouth reccommendation and now I’m just paying it forward.

These guys are the best shop around hands down. I only go to Sierra Bicycle Werks for my cycling needs. Craig (the owner) is super friendly and always willing to help me out, even when he knows I’m not gonna buy something. Rudy (lead mechanic) knows his stuff better than pretty much anyone. He helps me to make the right choice when looking for a product or repair. Go to this shop when looking for anything that has to bicycles.

I usually have something old or weird to work on and they have always helped me out. Their recommendations are always spot on. I got talked into an expensive (I thought) light, and it turns out it’s the best light I ever owned. Thank you for always having what I need

Great bike shop. Very professional. Everyone who works there is friendly and will chat about bikes all day if you have the time. I always pay them a visit when I’m in town.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I got into cycling earlier this year and commute daily and they’ve been my go-​to spot for everything since I found out about them (I only wish I knew about them before I bought my bike with a ton of accesories from Sport Chalet).
One of their employees, Sam, talked me in to getting some new 28s for my bike and they make for a very comfortable ride, Fonz got me a rear light that works great, Rudy helped me with a fitting and Craig gave me great insight on some clipless pedals. Overall, the entire staff here is very knowledgeable, friendly and they’ve definitely got themselves a lifetime customer.
If you’re new to cycling or have been riding for a lifetime I believe this shop has everything you could ask for.

Unless you are in a really tight spot, its best to avoid this bike shop– The service you receive is hit and miss. sometimes its good, most of the time, its crap. Show up for a fit at the scheduled time, and wait up to an hour for the «fit expert» to gab gab gab away with other people and eventually pawn you off on another employee– which they could have done at the agreed upon time.
Need wheel repair or build? Better stay away! These guys cant build wheels very good, and when they build one from scratch and BUILD IT POORLY, they will charge you for the damage and repair that THEY are responsible for.
Bought a fit and need a readjustment? get ready to pay for it, even though they should be making the adjustments you paid for for free.
The employees that work there are generally very inexperienced, and while the «lead» mechanic knows his stuff, someone else who has poor wrench turning skillsets will be working on your bike.
Its quite possible that they will charge you for something that they put on your bike without consent, such as bar tape, or a new front rotor «because you needed it.»

Sierra Bicycle Werks is a great little bicycle shop on Main St. in Visalia. The staff is extremely friendly and energetic and, although they can get overwhelmed at times, are very eager to provide great service and sound advice.
I am very new to the cycling game but Craig and Rudy (the owner and his right hand man) have helped ease me into the saddle. They found me a great bike for an affordable price. I love Sierra Bicycle Werks almost as much as I love the quaint Main St. where it resides.

This is a great bike shop for everybody! Just getting into cycling or for the avid enthusiast Sierra Bike Werks has all your cycling needs. I drive over 300 miles to have Craig fit me for my second new bicycle I have bought from the shop in the last six months. Trek, Cannondale, and coming soon from what I hear Cervelo! Great service, great location, good food near by!

Sierra Bicycle Werks is a great local resource for those of us into bicycles. The owner and staff are a friendly group and they stock a LOT of parts and accessories as well as bikes from Trek and Cannondale (primarily, there are a few other boutique brands in there as well). If I had one complaint, it’s that being downtown, it can be difficult to find a parking spot during peak hours.
I just bought my son a bike and helmet for his birthday, and can’t say enough about the service that we received. As long as we live locally, this will be our shop.
