Love this place. They know me and food always come out pretty quick. Carne asada burrito with rolled tacos is my go to and salsa verde. Watching the cool chefs and their ninja cooking and wrapping skills is always a delight. This place has been around forever — almost three decades now. I applaud the business owners and choose this place over Albertacos down the street.

This place use to be really good, and we went there at least once a week, for years. I like their breakfast burritos and carne asada burritos. Taquitos were good too. About a year go, I got a carne asada burrito and the meat was burnt and crunchy, and my wife’s rolled tacos were burnt too(and she ordered 6, but only got 5). I thought maybe just an anomaly, but didn’t eat there again for maybe 3 months. Tried it again, and — same thing, burnt carne asada. Waited about 6 months before going back, and — you guessed it — burnt carne asada again. I’m not sure where all these great reviews are coming from, but honestly, I don’t see it. I’d say, skip this place, there are plenty of other good Mexican restaurants around.

Decent place but nothing stands out. Fast service though and little to no wait time on to go orders.

So I’ve been here a couple times already and I can’t help but a say they have pretty good tasting food here. I ordered the roll taco plate with rice and beans. First of all the rolled tacos came with lots of lettuce and pico. They’re actually filled with meat too! So yummy! The rice and beans were pretty good for its simplicity. My boyfriend ordered the California burrito and I was luckily able to get a bit lol. it was soo good. The burrito actually has everything in it! I love they’re green salsa too! Definetly will come back to try some more options.

Not sure what happened. I’ve been coming here for the past 20 years. The carne asada was great. Nowadays, total opposite! No flavor, small portions, And, the last and final straw… They salsa now tastes like water with red food coloring in it. I even went back a few more times to see if maybe they just had a bad day. But no, they have dropped the ball in every aspect of mexican food.

Bleh. Stopped coming to this place years ago because of too much grease and grizzle in my carne asada burritos. Like there was literally a chunk of unchewable fatty grizzly ick the size of a golf ball smack dab in the middle of my burrito… I blacklisted this place the second time this happened. Fast forward about 5 years later, I’m in this shopping plaza doing errands on my lunch break and need to grab a quick bite, and decide to give this place a chance to redeem itself. I got the camarones a la diabla… which had a serious lack of diabla. It was pretty shy on the camarones as well. For $ 10 I got 6 medium sized shrimp drowning in a puddle of greasy bland red sauce, accompanied by rice and beans. These were somehow melted into the styrofoam to-go container around the edges, which in itself is alarming.(Did they have these pre-filled sitting around and then nuke it in the non-microwavable-toxic-chemical-filled container before adding my entrée? I sure hope not, but that certainly seems to be where the evidence points.) It also came with a generous serving of very thick corn tortillas — the thickness of these was not doing the dish any favors, as they soaked up what little flavor was in the dish. I tried to doctor it up with salsa from their salsa bar, but these were also bland and watery so did little to improve it. Most of this meal went into the trash. In case this disappointment alone was not enough to solidify their ‘blacklisted’ status in my mind… when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, I was greeted by a truly unholy scene that some disgusting person was nice enough to leave behind… It’s seared into my brain and makes me nauseous to even think about it two days later — you’re welcome for sparing you the details.(I did not dock the last star for this, as I am giving the benefit of the doubt that it may have been an isolated incident which they didn’t know about to have had a chance to fix before I encountered it.) Needless to say, I will never be going back.

This place serves up some of the best mexican around. It is located in a strip mall but don’t let that keep you from trying out this food. Prices are reasonably cheep. Everything is good but I recommend the Carne Asada quesadilla, Carne Asada burrito, nachos and beef taco. I eat here at least 3 times a week.

Food: can’t go wrong with any of it. Been here enough times to almost have tried the entire menu. Have come at all times of the day and the food never ceases to be out right munchy satisfying. Salsa is nothing unusual, but still goes great. Their Carne Asada fries are the bomb and the beef tacos are crunchy gobs of yum. Service: typical, nothing extraordinary. Establishment is decently clean, just has been there awhile so the nooks and crannies are a bit dirty. Small amount of tables, but should have no problem getting one. More of a grab n go type of place.

So bummed, Not impressed at all, possibly worst Mexican food I’ve had… ordered a cheese enchilada and a beef taco for my wife. She threw it all away. Not sure how you can mess up a cheese enchilada but The enchilada sauce, loosely coined since it was mostly water, had no flavor. It didn’t even have melted cheese inside, it was a clump of shredded cheese. I knew I shouldn’t have taken the food after I saw the cook throw the enchilada in the microwave in the same FOAM container that I took the food home in. It took literally one minute to put the order together. I’m an idiot for going, don’t do the same. Tons of better options out there… so bummed, I was craving some really good Mexican food…

Vista is the Mecca of Mexican. Armondo’s is way better than Albertacos. Tortillas, Carne, Beans and Rice. Gotta pay an extra 50 cents if you use debit but the prices are so reasonable It doesn’t even matter.

Always a good spot for Mexican food. Their burritos are good sized. I got the bacon breakfast burrito and it was pretty tasty. There was a good amount of eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon in it. Their bean, cheese and rice burrito is also a good choice. Their salsa is pretty good and both their red and green sauce.

I come here at least once a week since I live right around the corner and let me tell you, they have some kick ass street tacos. Carnitas is my favorite, but the carne asada and spicy shredded chicken is pretty killer too. If you like spicy salsa, get the green stuff, it’s made with serrano chiles. It will burn your face off, but it’s totally worth it.

This place was the Bomb 10 years ago. I would come here serval times a week and always got massive burritos and the salsa was killer. Now it’s kinda down with the sizes and the prices have one up a little. The salsa isn’t the same as before.

Ive been coming for a min. Its on my way hm from wrk and i shop at stater bros. I always enjoy the food her. I usually get the pollo enchilada plate or to pollo asado tacos. Havent gon wrong with either of those. Also like the Chipotle burrito with beans &rice added in. The crew here are gd ppl. Friendly and easy going. An they are usually pretty busy for a small hole in the wall(no disrespect) as many know the hole in walls are usually the best places and gd eats at reasonable prices. Hell yeah gd eats here. This place is tucked away, literally in the shadow of Big 5. There is a tree part blocking their sign too. It’s open later than most and I gave it a few tries in my post brewery foraging, but disheartened by the results each time. I’d read good reviews by people who I know, but my experiences were in most ways not similar. Ambiance is about par for the course, minimal décor and color. Staff is friendly and willing to oblige with banter from time to time. Love their tortilla’s, rides that edge of doughy and flakey, holds up very well to their wetter burrito’s or if your like me and hot sauce on every bite. Price is affordable which is to say moderate. Clean-ish. You’ve seen better, but you’ve seen a lot worse. I dig the large bowls of salsa, but the shape is about the worst idea ever. Way too wide and when it gets low you can’t scoop any with the poorly complimentary shaped spoon. Green is the best because the hot is no heat and mild has no flavor. California burrito, unmelted cheese and chives, almost no guac or sour cream. That’s about as über fail as you can get. I like the fries, they are the skinnier kind and fried well so they aren’t soggy. Carne asada is mediocre and over all it’s a bust. Get the carne asada fries, it’s harder to skimp on the guac and sour cream, but instead of the carne get pollo, it’s better. Good flavor, texture, moist.(I only use that word because apparently females hate that word). Adobada is hit or miss from tough, flavorless to some of the best I’ve had. Chimichanga quality is good, just give it a minute to cool. Taco’s are ok, fish instead of shark, plates do not come with rabanos, no carrots or onions. The menu is pretty basic. The burritos aren’t massive they are normal. Regrettable and forgettable. We all have rose colored glasses sometimes. Either things have changed or I need to start re-evaluating who I follow on Unilocal

Armando’s is my go to place for cheap Mexican food that tastes good. One reason is its location. Very close to home. Another reason is the price. Nothing here is too expensive. Everything is $ 4-$ 6 out the door. Can’t complain about that. The restaurant is very small. Like 6 – 7 tables small. There’s a picnic bench outside but not the nicest place to eat. The parking lot outside the restaurant is well, a parking lot. Very busy, not the cleanest. The other issue with Armando’s is getting orders correct. I’ve gone in and ordered 20 burritos before. No issues. It’s amazing. 20 burritos, no burrito made wrong. We’re not talking just 20 Carne Asada burritos. We’re talking burritos with special orders, none of this, some of that, extra this… you get the idea. But when I go in there and I’m the only person ordering, the only person in the restaurant and my order gets made wrong; it’s very frustrating. Fortunately, Armando’s will remake anything they get wrong so I have to give them credit for that. I’ve been here probably 200 times since I’ve lived in this area. I think I’ve eaten inside twice. It gets too hot indoors. Very loud in there too if you get kids running around. Incredibly quick during a lunch rush. Even if there’s a line the wait is relatively short. Dinner time can be a little more backed up. I don’t think there’s as many workers during the dinner rush. Really good Pollo Asado. Good beans. Good rice. Good quesadillas. Overall, the food and the price is what makes this place really good. I highly recommend this place over an Albertacos or Jilbertos. Give them a shot if you’re in the Shadowridge area and want a good(big) burrito for a good price.

How can I be so completely stuffed and satisfied after only spending $ 3? It’s true! While Armandos does a mean carne asada, and the husband swears by their Cali burritos, it’s the standard bean and cheese that always leaves me satisfied. I’ve actually ordered other things, and been upset o be missing out on my old stand by! Add a chicken tostada to split with another lucky diner, and you’re all set. And by the way, I’m convinced they use a whole chicken breast on ONE tostada! Delish! Just watch out, sometimes they salsas are ALLHOT!!!
