It looked like a small little operation from the outside. It was located in the back along with a bunch of small office buildings. The bartenders were nice and friendly. They were all knowledgeable of their beers and happy to answer any questions. They had food here, but I didn’t order anything. On this particular visit I had a flight of their beers: Rabid Beaver, Hop Highway, Beaver Buzz, and Here Comes Mango. Of course I loved the Beaver Buzz because it was a stout, but the Here Comes Mango was a surprise. It was better than I had expected for a fruit beer. I’ve been to their newer tavern located further north, but I prefer coming here if I only want to drink beers.

My wife will tell you that I got us lost. I like to think that The Universe directed us to Belching Beaver. There are two locations — one in down town San Diego, and this one in Vista. I haven’t been to the one down town so I can’t tell you that the one in Vista is better. But the one in Vista is better. The space is beautiful. Open and inviting without seeming like a warehouse. Sitting and eating and drinking among the brewhouse is always the best. The staff are awesome. We had 2 or 3 different folks taking care of us and all of them were amazing. Very helpful with picking out beers, and super friendly. They don’t have their own food on site, but they do have food vendors come in. And the food was great, but that’s another review… Alright, I’ll cut the bullshit. Let’s talk about the beer. Holy crap. Good stuff! Between my wife and I, I had at least a taste of every beer they had available. All of them were awesome. Even the styles that are not my favorites. Their peanut butter stout was perfect, with a great peanut butter tastes and a hit of chocolate from the roast. Their Mexican with peanut butter, chocolate and chile was also great. I’m an IPA guy, and their stand up nicely with some of the best. But to me, the real stand outs were their fruit beers. Their mango and their pineapple coconut IPAs were perfection. Just the right amount of fruit to be clearly present, with a strong malt and hop backbone. Nice job. Look, I’m a beer snob. I’ve been lucky enough to try some of the very best. For Belching Beaver can keep this up, they are destined for great things. Go now, and you’ll be able to tell your friends that you tried them before they became huge.

Some of the best stouts I’ve had! It’s a great atmosphere in and around the brewery on the weekends! There was a car show when I went to the brewery and their beers are well worth it!

Great beer and excellent staff. They have a new place in downtown vista or their original tasting room up in the hills.

Good brewery, friendly staff, good beer. Definitely should be on your brewery tour list. I don’t make it there often, but when I do, I belch like a beaver.

This is an outstanding brewery and our favorite in the north county(so far). The atmosphere is really good with indoor and outdoor seating. It can get pretty busy but it is worth the wait in the beer line and the bartenders are really friendly(guy with a beard and redhead woman). We tried the Me So Honey(great) Beavers Milk(nitro milk stout)(great) Viva La Beaver(Mexican chocolate PB stout)(perfection) Horchata(imperial stout)(great) Easy Beaver(grapefruit session IPA)(very good) Great Lei(pineapple coconut IPA)(okay) Blushing Beaver Amber(okay) Me So Sour(white oak barrel aged sour)(very good) Awesome place!

Dog Friendly Brewery located in an industrial business park(seems like a lot of breweries are located in these type of areas for some reason… and a lot them are dog friendly too) with a large outdoor patio. My husband and I came to this brewery last Saturday late afternoon, a little after 5:30 pm. We walked in with our little dog. I sat at a small barrel(acts as a table, stool chairs only) and placed my little girl on a chair as my husband waited in line to order(there was only one person ahead of him and inside there were only a few tables left). After browsing through the menu board, my husband ended up ordering: (All are tasters, $ 2 each) Beaver Buzz– This brew has added flavors of coffee. I am not a coffee fan and so I didn’t try any. But my husband did like this. Me So Honey– This blonde beer has a light and subtle honey flavor which makes this beer nice. Great Lei– This beer has added pineapple flavors to this beer. I wasn’t a fan of this one(but was hoping that I would be because I do like this fruit) and didn’t think the sweetness worked well. But my husband liked this one(my husband is a fan of beer, I’m not so much. I’m really picky on what beers I like). PB Milk Stout– I was really hoping this stout would be a winner for me but I didn’t like this one too much either. I thought it was just okay and only tasted the peanut butter, but didn’t really taste the«milk» part of this beer(I guess I don’t have a sophisticated palate). My husband also though this one was just okay as well. Here Comes Mango– I wasn’t a fan of this(no surprise there… do you see the reoccurring theme here?), but my husband did like this one. — — — — — — — — — — — — - (Total= $ 10, tax was not charged) After my husband got his tasters(wait time after ordering was very short), we decided to head outside to the patio for a bigger table. There is a fire pit out here and a few large wooden picnic tables. There are also wooden chairs out here as well. By the way, this brewery does not sell food so make sure to bring/buy something before coming out here(don’t want to leave here drunk so soon now do you? But honestly, drunk driving is a no-no… so make sure to sober up before you head out or make someone the designated driver or consider Über, Lyft, Flywheel and the like). Restrooms are inside in the lobby area(where you will also find the Belching Beaver mascot in wooden statue form). The men and women restroom are single stalls(so there may be a wait if you use it). The employees who took my husband’s order, closed off his tab after we were done and the employee who took away our finished taster glasses were friendly. They all wanted to pet our little dog(Who wouldn’t? She is such a cutie!) and smiled whenever she was near them. In the end, even though I was not impressed with most of the brews that I have had, I would still come back because my husband likes this place and I like that this is a dog friendly place(perfect for family time).

This place was pretty cool!!! 15 min from the famous Stone Brewery, we decided to stop here before going home. A few friends that accompanied me had been here before and live their peanut butter beer. I tried it and it was interesting, but not for me. The beers were pretty good, and I think I wouldn’t mind coming back. Located in the industrial area, you might miss it if you weren’t looking for it. It has both outdoor seating as well as a few high tables and bar stools. Walking in, there was a cool little bake sale going on with goodies for both humans and dogs. There were a few dogs hanging out, which was cool. They also had a tent setup towards the back that was selling food. The staff at the brewery was really nice and even though there was a huge line when we walked in, it moved quickly and efficiently. You can see all the beer barrels set up and even though it looks kind of small, I like the ambiance of the place. It is pretty chill and i enjoyed my time there. I would definitely come back… Maybe on another visit to some of the other breweries to the other breweries in the San Diego area.

Like a lot of craft breweries, located in a somewhat industrial business park area. There’s an L shaped bar, a couple of barrel tables with stools, and a perimeter counter, intimate seating overall. This place doesn’t serve food, but a taco food truck pulled up outside while we were enjoying our beers. They have growlers to go. Make sure you plan on drinking them soon, growlers don’t last long. Peanut butter milk stout is killer!

The name of the brewery may be a little comical, or silly, or suggestive, but so what. At the end of the day, it’s the product and the experience that matters. and honestly, I don’t know that any consumer needs to be super serious about beer. Almost all of BB’s beers are delicious. If they weren’t, this placed wouldn’t be packed with happy, thirsty people. Over the course of a couple hours, we sampled 9 different beers(2 ounce tastings each) and greatly enjoyed 8 of them. That’s a strong batting average. I can’t say I love the setting in a characterless business park but the employees were super friendly, the beer was delicious and the crowd was festive. Silly name or not, the product is very good.

This place is seriously one of my faves! Such great beer and such a laid back atmosphere. This is one of our go to spots on the weekends both with friends or a date night. The staff is super friendly and down to earth and the outdoor seating is AMAZEBALLS. You can bring your dog and just chill out in front of the fire pits. It’s kind of a hard one to find in the business park but with technology nowadays you’ll get there and you won’t regret it. The beer selection is pretty varied which I love. The boo is an IPA lover and I’m more of a stout/porter kinda gal and there’s something for each of us. Check it out if you’re in the area and looking for a solid brew.

I love the beaver. The gals behind the bar are always so nice and are willing to let you sample the beer before you purchase a pint of it. I love their outdoor space and the atmosphere! Be sure to check their website or facebook page so you know who the food truck is for the evening!

Nice quaint spot in Vista. Place has a nice feel to it and like most breweries in the area is open air. The selection of beers are good and plentiful. there was a guy selling homemade pretzels in the back and judging by the amount of dogs in the joint is pet friendly. Several Breweries in the Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside area are located in and industrial park so I would suggest going during off hours to avoid the large amount of patrons that gather during peak. Do yourself a favor and put this Brewery on your visit list.

This brewery was spacious and had a great atmosphere! I loved that it was dog friendly so my cousin could bring her dog with us. It was fun meeting other dog lovers and tasting beer. The staff were great and friendly too! I will be back again soon!

I’m just gonna put this out there, so take it how you ever you want. Belching Beaver is simply Fan-Friggin-Tastic! Another great Southern California brewery that has me wanting to frequent them more often. I’ll make this short and sweet people, and normally I don’t write short reviews. This is an awesome brewery that you need to visit at least once. I guarantee once you visit this place and wet your whistle with a fine craft, you’ll be coming back more often. How can one enjoy a fresh pint you ask? Either sit inside next to the larger than life brew kettles where there is fresh beer fermenting, or sit outside and enjoy the Cali weather. There really isn’t a bad option here folks, I mean you can’t go wrong in which ever route you take. Go inside and enjoy a craft or two, and why not buy some of their paraphernalia with that silly beaver on it!

Very chill brewery, I enjoy the chill vibe and how the brewery showcases the machinery that they use to make their own beer. The staff is friendly and attentive they allow you to try all the beers that you would like at no extra cost. The place has a great amount of their own beers on tap, the majority of the beers are stout and porter so if you aren’t into that like me, then they have your IPA and about one amber ale. They have some interesting beers like horchata stout and the delicious mango IPA that I had so they don’t have the usual plain beers that most places have. When having my beer, the beer itself had the perfect amount of foam and it was as refreshing as it can get, the mango to beer ratio was super spot on! The only downside of this place is that its pretty small so be prepared to share off body heat with peers. Other than that, one of the more chiller bars in the area.

We went to Belching Beaver Brewery as our first stop for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday bash and I have to say that this place was really impressive with a large parking lot, its outside patio and fire pit, the beaver statue, the brewery merchandise, and most especially, that famous Peanut Butter Milk Stout! Located at an industrial place in Vista, Belching Beaver Brewery definitely made its mark for delicious dark beers. We each had our own beer tastings; I had all of the dark beers like the seasonal Horchata Imperial Stout and the Beavers Milk while my boyfriend had all of the IPAs such as the Great Lei and Rapid Beaver. The Peanut Butter Milk Stout was the one I look forward to the most because it had that creamy rich, peanut butter flavor that reminded me of Reese’s peanut butter cup but in beer form! It can easily be consumed during any season and can be used as a beer float(just think of peanut butter beer with vanilla ice cream)! Overall, Belching Beaver Brewery is highly recommended for craft beer fans everywhere!

The Peanut Butter Milk Stout is what they are known for… or at least that’s what brought me to this place. what makes it even better was that it was nitro, so it had a more creamy taste to it. i know you can get the PB milk stout at bevmo, but it ain’t nitro! ABV: 5.3%, IBU: 30 Our Peanut Butter Milk Stout is simply irresistible. It’s like dark chocolate Reese’s in a glass! Rolled oats and Lactose add to the creamy body of this beer while heavenly aromas of roasted buttery peanuts and chocolate greet you with every sip. Try this out with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a real treat! they have sampler glasses, which cost 2 bucks each for most of them. I also recommend getting the Dammit Josh! which is horchata in the coconut milk stout… so yummy. they have a small patio outside with fire rings. so not a shabby place to grab a drink or two and catch up with friends. Keep in mind, this place is located in vista and when we drove past, we saw an insane amount of DUI check points. So be careful and take an über or sober up before you drive. be safe peeps!

If your looking for a killer Milk Stout, than this brewery is for you! Located at the end of Park Centre drive, in the industrial Business park in Vista. This brewery has a great amount of parking and easy access for anyone looking to stop by. Inside you have a your wet bar and high top seating and the gem of this brewery is the outdoor seating area, with plenty of wooden group seating. Now for the beers, hands down the trademark brew is the Milk Stouts they have to offer. The Peanut Butter Milk stout is on point and a brew really worth trying. «Me so Honey» is also worth a shot! The staff here are really friendly and are always down for a chat. Overall Drink: 5 – 5 Service: 4 – 5 Coming back: yes
