So happy to have a great and reasonable family-style Chinese restaurant so close to my home! We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty. They have a myriad of entrees and family-style dinners. I went with a dinner combo of Kung Pao chicken, cream cheese wontons, fried rice, and fried shrimp. My BF got his favorite orange chicken and ordered pork fried rice and beef lo mein for us to share. You also get those little fried crunchy things as an appetizer. It was $ 40 for all the food and you get a lot! We left with hefty leftovers.

I was surprised to see this place rated four stars. I may have come on a bad day… When I go to a new restaurant for me, I generally order a variety of food, to get a idea of what is good on the menu. The food that we ordered did not taste like any Chinese food that I had ever experienced. The flavors seemed foreign. Please understand this is not because it was authentic Chinese food that I was not used to, as I have had Chinese food in many places, especially in San Francisco. I have had the normal American style, and every variety of Chinese. I picked at my food with my fork, just moving it around on my plate, eating very little. Granted, it was uncomfortable and hot outside, and there was no A/C. There was entertainment though, two T.V.‘s on, and you had no problem hearing the volume, even though I was on the other side of the room. It was unfortunate that they were on different channels.

We were tired of eating at Chin’s and good Chinese food is really hard to find here in north county. Checked out their Unilocal review and decided to go for it. It’s located in a small strip mall– easy to find. We ordered Imperial Shrimp, orang=get chicken and fried rice. Everything tasted really good. WE would def eat here again.

First time here and will be definitely be back. Staff was great and food was even better. We had the Golden Dragon Hong Kong style stir fry, shrimp curry, and salt and pepper shrimp. Excellent portions and seasoning.

I’ve been going here for years. I absolutely adore this place. Their egg drop soup is always amazing, their orange chicken is my favorite, and their lo-mein noodles are simply the best. While the chicken wings were pretty dry and tasteless, I can say that most of the things I’ve tried here always turn out amazing. I was sad when they switched to crispy noodles instead of wonton strips for appetizers but nothing much has changed. Always great service, food always comes out hot and fresh, and the waiters are always nice. Cheap too! Make sure to get the tofu, the vegetable mushi, orange chicken, egg drop soup, cream cheese wontons, lo-mein.

Great bbq pork lo mein. The yung chow fried rice is always perfectly flavored and has lots of meat.

Went in on a Thursday night for dinner. We got seated right away; however the waitress forgot to get us drinks, instead asked a couple who came in after us what they wanted to drink first. After we brought it to her attention then everything was good. Gave us the right order and the food was delicious. Me and my family enjoyed everything that we ordered. I especially liked that they have 4 different family meal choices for 2 or more people and you pick one dish for each person. They have very good orange chicken!

I am all about small business; I want Mom and Pop shops to succeed, so I wanted to write a good review… but I can’t. I also do not want people to spend their hard earned money on food that is not good-and this was not good. I had the dumplings, orange chicken, lo mein and fried rice. The dumplings were pretty good, but the sauce with which they are served was almost tasteless. The chicken smelled strange and the sauce had no flavor. The noodles and rice were the same-no flavor. I ended up throwing most of my food away.

I’m having a food coma right now… phew. I’ve always come here for dinner and placed orders to go. The staff are always very pleasant, helpful if you can’t decide and just down to Earth individuals. I’ve never had any complains with the food here. It’s always filled with flavor, savory, and just damm good. Now I do keep coming here because of their salt and pepper chicken. My usual spot is all the way down in National City. If you know salt and pepper, you know what spot I’m talking about. Any who there isn’t any good place to get salt and pepper chicken in North County except Golden Dragon! Their breading is different but the taste is there! It hits the spot every time! Tonight I also ordered Beef Chowfun… CHOWFUN!!! Delicious flat noodles! Sure the place looks empty just like the parking lot but don’t be fooled. Come in, have a seat, watch whatever is on TV and get fat!

Placed a phone order. The lady on the other end was very pleasant. My order was right on time. The won ton soup was good, though I had to doctor it up some with a little toasted sesame oil and soy sauce. It was full of vegetables, pork and delicious won tons. The potstickers were delicious as was the sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. We will definitely be coming there to eat.

Came two days ago with a group of women at 11:00 a.m. — their opening time. No one there, business dark, no cars in the back and waited for 20+ minutes! It never opened. Not professional ATALL!!!

I wanted Chinese food, but my fav place is an hour drive. I checked out the reviews & was pleasantly surprised when I got my to go order home. Let me start at the beginning, I walked in & it wasn’t too crowded. I was greeted as soon as I walked in & everyone was pretty friendly. After browsing the menu for a couple minutes, I decided on the Kung pao dinner combo plate. It came with soup, an egg roll, 2 shrimp tempura, 2 cream cheese wonton & fried rice. The food was ready in about 15 minutes. When I got the order, it spelled fantastic! I got home & dug right in. The soup was a little bland for my taste– I ended up putting a lot of black pepper to be able to eat it. The shrimp tempura were more like fried shrimp as opposed to tempura, not bad though. The egg roll was ok. The cream cheese wontons were really good. I was a bit disappointed with the fried rice, it was just rice with egg & soy sauce(I’m used to veggies in there also). The Kung pao chicken was the best that I’ve had in a long time!!! I would have liked the portions to have bigger, but other than that, I’ll def be back!!!

They always have great food whenever me and my family want to go… Which is quite a lot. Our favorites are the Lo Mein, Fried Rice, and the Beef and Broccoli.

Pretty solid chinese food. I had the Hong Kong noodles with beef and Calamari. The calamari was seasoned well and fried perfectly. My only complaint would be that the calamari itself was a little chewy, but I still enjoyed it and would order again. The hong kong noodles were yummy! Not as crispy as I would like but the gravy on top was so good, I didn’t mind. Good chinese food is hard around here so I’m happy I found this place! Oh and our server was awesome! Super friendly and checked on us often. but not too much. lol, you know what I mean.

Not fancy, but for what it is, great! Full dinner for 2(appetizers, soups, main dishes) for 30 $. The food was good and the service was really very friendly. Added bonus is that my fortune cookie says good things are coming my way :)

Came again but on a Friday night. We got the exact same thing as last time lol! That oh so wonderful Salt and Pepper chicken and Wor Wonton Soup. We also got the Teriyaki chicken for the first time, and it was a hit! Two thumbs up as well! Service this time around was a little quicker and water had a little more ice this time around haha. Got a Shirley temple, thinking it would have the cherries but they must’ve been out. And this night in particular there was a large group having a celebration there which seemed to be going well. Watched Wheel of Fortune on there tv for awhile. Totally reminded me of my Filipino grandma’s house. She had similar décor and only watched 3 types of shows, game shows, soap operas and wrestling, lol! Another great family outing thanks to Golden Dragon.

If you’re looking for delicious authentic Chinese food in North County, here it is! We were looking for a new place to eat in North County and found this place on Unilocal.I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese restaurants, considering I am Chinese, so I look for reviews of someone with discriminating tastes(hint: someone who knows that what good Chinese food actually tastes like). We were greeted and seated within seconds of walking through the door.(1st star!) I noticed the Chinese décor throughout. — very nostalgic, like Chinese restaurants from my childhood. The waiter, which I think was the owner’s son(which I later found out this restaurant is family owned and operated for the last 34 years! 2nd star!) took our drink orders and promptly brought out some complimentary fried noodles and warm sweet and sour orange sauce. This was a nice touch. It’s not typical of a Chinese restaurant, but I oddly found myself finishing off the tray. Yum!(3rd star) We ordered the following favorite«go-to» dishes: — Sizzling seafood(it actually was served sizzling on a hot plate!) — Beef chow fun(dried style, not gravy style) — Fried pork chops w/fried rice — Green beans with pork They were all delicious, flavorful, moderately priced, family-style sized and authentic!(4th star) When we were ready to go, we paid our check(complete with two complementary fortune cookies), they boxed up all of our food for us in takeout boxes and even had them all set up on a cardboard flat. We chatted with the owner who told us that they’ve been at this location for 34 years. How could I have not known about this gem in Vista! Which is what brings me to write this review. I’ll definitely be back soon and I hope you’ll try them out too.

Unilocal didn’t let me down! The majority of Chinese food places in North County sucks, but this place is pretty amazing! And, they have really good customer service which is definitely not something I’m used to at a family owned Asian restaurant! LOL! Pros: great customer service, milk tea is delicious, BBQ pork is definitely on point! shrimp & walnuts had the perfect crisp! The food actually came out hot, and stayed hot throughout our meal! Cons: Thai tea was a little bitter(wouldn’t recommend it, but maybe it was an off night?), beef on the beef and broccoli was a little too tender, but the sauce and broccoli was good! Overall, I recommend this place, it’s a little far from the freeway, but definitely worth the drive! Oh, and I guess they can use an upgrade on their décor — felt like I walked into the 1990s! LOL! Gotta admit though, it was one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to!
