Ok. So I have finally met a hot salsa that made my nose run. Yes. I love it. Only down side is I ordered beef taco plate through the drive through only to find that I was given fish taco. However, I enjoyed my fish tacos very much with my salsa verde. I will go back again and try for BEEF TACOS.

Good Mexican food. Had the vegetarian burrito. Beans don’t have lard in them as I guess one of the owners is vegetarian as well. Sauces are good and they have a drive through too.

By far the best Mexican food around. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years here and their old location and have never had a bad experience. California burrito, San Diego burrito, Colorado burrito. Nachos, fries, taco tuesdays. you can’t go wrong with anything you order or any day you go. Must try the guacamole salsa! Friendly staff and fast service makes this place my go to.

Taco Tuesday… I ordered 2 fish tacos and 2 chicken tacos. All 4 were well proportioned sizes and were very delicious! The 2 chicken tacos came in a hard shell while the 2 fish tacos came in nice sized corn tortillas. The salsa and guacamole sauce were so spicy which is the way I like it! Potato, chicken, and fish tacos are 99¢ on Tuesdays all day. A definite go-​to place. I’ll be back here to try the carne asada fries another time as I’ve seen very good reviews on those, plus it’s the most popular item on their menu.

Heading to Vista, from Golden Hill, we pulled over on I-​5 and found this gem while on the hunt for a gas station — sheer luck.
Food quality in relation to food price was unreal. So good; so cheap.
One can smell the spices marinating as you approach the front entrance. Parking is a little tricky because the space is small and seemingly, a hole in the wall. Aren’t those the most legit, tho?
Great vibes, and if your a little bit tougher to please like I am, the staff will certainly bring laughter and hilarity to the mix to get a smile out.
Michelada was massive, fairly priced, and properly garnished to boot! Sad they don’t have a more extensive beer list, but all in all, well done. Worth the drive back.

Yesss. Just moved to Vista from Encinitas and have been hunting for a new spot to get some bomb food after work. Found this place on here with all solid reviews so gave it a shot. If it wasnt for the huge brighrly lit yellow arrow i would have drove right past it. Excited at this little gem got into the drive thru. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star was the 15 minute wait in the drive thru even though the restaurant was empty. Food is amazing. Got the san diego burrito, so good. Big ol french fries in there. Salsa is a little watery but i can deal with how good the burrito was. Ill be sure to be back a lot more and start getting down with the menu!

I went here this past weekend to try a new joint other than Rubios. Usually before diving into a menu I’ll judge a place on its beans, rice, and cheese burrito. If a place has a good beans, rice, and cheese burrito then you can assume their foundation in cooking is solid. I was excited to see a place that had such good ratings. Living in so cal you’d think there would be an abundance of wonderful Mexican food. Unfortunately that’s not the case. Needless to say, the burrito was sub-​par. Disappointing. I’d go here if I had the drunchies.

Carne Asada burrito was big and good. The rolled tacos lacked any guacamole to speak of, next time I will ask for extra guacamole. The shredded beef inside was good, but I like it chopped instead of long so that when you bite it, all the meat doesn’t come out at once.

Carnitas burrito was legit
Fish taco– perfect texture and flavors, just enough sauce
Salsa’s– simple and perfect flavor
Felt like I was in my Abuela’s house w the novela on tv the décor and bright colors.
Nothing fancy, but feels exactly like home cooked Mexican food.
Would totally have posted a pic, but we cleaned our plates and didnt think about taking out a phone while enjoying the delicious food.

I have lived in Vista several years and always drove down Santa Fe while doing errands or making trips and it has never occured to me to eat at this location. I am glad that my friend convinced me to stop and give it a try. Definitely hidden from sight, but definitely delicious and enjoyable. Excellent customer service and the atmosphere, along with the food, is astounding. Wish the place was called «La Casita,» because it looks like one. But its amazing. Definitely recommend! Spread the word!

As someone who is probably the hardest critic when it comes to Mexican food, this place is definitely churning out some good stuff! The burritos are big and scrumptious, the rolled tacos are crunchy and yummy and the carne asada is both juicy and plentiful! I don’t normally eat refried beans, but the ones here definitely changed my mind. My only disappointment was the rice as it was dry and somewhat flavorless. That being said, the rest was definitely worth a return trip!

Came to lunch at this Mexican shack in Vista with a friend of mine. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the Cucarachas running all over the place!!! The carne asada was excellent, but the beans need to be a little hotter. My friend says it should be only one star but I thought the food was excellent!

Taco Tuesday $ 0.99 review. It’s tough to complain too much for $ 0.99 tacos and a $ 6 dinner for two. The choices are chicken, potato and fish on a mixture or soft and corn tortillas. I think my favorite was the chicken since it had a good chunk on meat. The tacos are super simple and only most have meat with a sprinkling of lettuce. There is a nice salsa bar with three types to choose from with the green one being the spiciest. This is one of those places that you go thanks to Unilocal and the current 4.5 star review. I drive by this place everyday but didn’t realize how good it was. One of the customers in the restaurant mentioned he loved this place because it was so clean. Always a good sign to see. Start with taco Tuesday for a simple first impressions.

Los Juniors is a hole in the wall that most of us in Vista have driven by a million times on S Santa Fe. If you haven’t stopped you’re missing out! Go in on a Tuesday and you can get 3 fish tacos for $ 3!!! Three nice sized tacos with yummy toppings and fresh salsa!!! Seriously where else can you fill up for $ 3 these days? Their other food is good too so next time you drive past, give them a try!

The food here is great! I tried this place after reading other favorable reviews and I concur with the majority. The carne asada is high quality — properly trimmed then seasoned and cooked to crispy and tender perfection.
The prices are a bit higher than many other places but the quality and taste is worth it. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area and need some tasty Mexican food.
