I can eat a lot(for a man) 6 tacos costs only $ 4.14 and 1 milk, $ 1.49, Total $ 5.98. Walk in and Immediately go to your right, the line forms along the the glass beverage refrigerator. This looks like a small produce stand off the side of the road with a small parking lot as well. However, if you walk inside to the back of the market, you will find an array of different types of meats. Come on Tues when the street tacos are very cheap! Meat runs out so you gotta get here early. Salsa runs out too so if its the end of the night, you’re out of luck. The street tacos on their own however are still very good. They have about 7 – 8 different types of meat. I usually go for the regular carne asada or carnitas. No, this place is not very fancy at all, but you can a really yummy and cheap dinner if you wanted. Tacos here are better than some Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to and cost a fraction of the price.

This is the only Mexican market we will be going to from here on out. We moved here a couple months ago and had yet to find a market that fit our needs. This is the one! For starters, the ground chorizo is THEBEST chorizo we have tasted. Get some immediately! We got carnitas last night to bring home and it was delicious, tender and moist! 20 limes for a buck; can’t beat that! The aroma of meats being smoked and grilled as you walk up make you want to live next door; it is that amazing! The produce is fresh and full of flavor, the gentlemen working at the meat counter were professional, helpful and were quick to answer any questions we had. There were samples of ceviche as you walked in and holy moley talk about flavor! I could go on and on about this place and I’ve only been there this one time. Can’t wait to grill up the carne asada tonight that we picked up and to pick up some freshly made menudo next week! Definitely going to be a long term patron here!

Taco Tuesday is so good and the price is excellent. Carne asana, pollo and birra* is the best. I would skip the carnitas. There’s a line but it moves fast! Definitely a local favorite

Oh man! If you’re a fan of street tacos, this place is definitely where you have to go! Granted, they’re a little small but for .99 you cant beat them! Especially Tuesdays and Friday’s you can get them for .69/each! Work the wait when they’re busy!

listen, if you’re going to come to a place for authentic Mexican food, you need to expect the store to be a little authentic, too. you can’t be mad at somebody for speaking poor english when he’s handing you the most delicious meats and cheeses you’ll ever have the opportunity to consume. i always read reviews before i leave my own, and i’m having quite a giggle at some of these reviews. for instance, the 1 star review about them not having vegetarian options is a little absurd, especially considering the reviewer admits to having come here all the time prior to her choice to become vegetarian. also, please note that this is a market and the first thing you seen when you walk up to the shop is an abundance of fruits and veggies right out front. so yes, they have vegetarian options as long as you’re a reasonably vegetarian who knows they are coming to a market that specializes in carne asada and other meat filled tacos. yes okay the least appealing thing about this place has got to be the parking lot– it’s a little cramped. but as long as you’re not an idiot, the parking lot is manageable. i am a horrible driver(arguably the worst, according to all friends and family), but i have never had any issue getting in, parking, or getting out of this lot. ANYWAY, we come here all the time. we love this place. i’ve lived in the area now for 10+ years and i’ve never noticed any difference in the quality of meat, as another reviewer had claimed. yes, the price has gone up, but that can be expected for literally anything in business. keep in mind you are paying for quality foods. if you don’t want to spend that much money you can buy the premade tacos to save, or go to albertsons and get their lower quality meats. we pick up the carne asada arrachera(not sure i’m spelling that right), the fresh cheese, some tortillas and salsa fresca. grill up the meat on our own, and have the best tacos everrrrrrrrrrrrrr. you can also buy the tacos premade. i’ve tried their ceviche as well and it is delicious!

This is one of the best Mexican markets if you’re looking for meats. They have a ton of cooked meats as well as raw. Their meats are prepared outside in the parking lot on on an open flame. As for the grocery items somethings are reasonable but there’s not much of a selection. An absolute must have is of the green salsa. It’s like a green guacamole concoction. Service is good but the place is always busy for takeout food. This is a little hole in the wall but definitely try the meats as they are very well known for them. I’m not sure if they have picnic tables outside but they definitely don’t have much seating.

Have been shopping here for over 50 years to back when it was Food Valu. We stop at least once a week for a pound or two of the pollo asada to use during the week. Many different hot prepared meals to choose from at the Butcher counter come in handy on those nights you just don’t want to cook. Even spaghetti but mostly Mexican food of great Quality. The BBQ out front stops you dead in your tracks from the smell that sometimes reaches our house a mile away. Fresh fruits and veges are plenty in this market and it’s hard to deny yourself a hot Tamale as you wait to be checked out.

Taco Tuesday always means Primos. The store is well organized and the staff is very friendly. Their prices on fresh fruit and vegetables is competitive and always great quality. Every weekend they stoke up the grill offering a variety of BBQ chicken and ribs. Get there early though, especially on Tuesdays as there is always a line out the door. Also, there isn’t much parking so getting a spot is always an interesting time.

Love this little super market I stumbled upon it by accident just driving through I ended up getting meat to grill and veggies. After we ate we were like oh crap this is good. We had tried other small Mexican markets for the meat but the meats were blah. Glad I found this place it’s not the best looking from the outside but you’ll see various types of people in here Spanish is not the only language spoken here. Walk to the back for the meats if you want to order cooked food stay in line to right if you want meat to grille ring the bell and one of the gentleman will help you out. Everything is reasonably priced the only thing I can’t speak for the freshness of the fruits and veggies since we did buy a watermelon and it didn’t come out good but this review is for the raw meats they taste bomb the marinated short ribs are my favorite.

I used to love coming here pre-vegetarian life. The tacos were good, the prices amazing on Taco Tuesday. Last week my fiancé was craving them so we went. I figured I could find something meat-free I could eat. Faiiilllll don’t come here if your a vegetarian ! I asked if they had tacos de papa at least? Nope the guy straight out said«we don’t do vegetarian» in Spanish. I get that tacos are always meat based and I shouldn’t have expected otherwise but from a business perspective wouldn’t it be smart to have tacos de papa at least for people who don’t eat meat? Or any option at that… It was disappointing that I walked out without a meal. Anyways other than that the market is pretty nasty looking, I wouldn’t buy anything there, we just come for the tacos… At least my fiancé does, I’m no longer a customer lol oh well…

Are you considering Primo for your next gathering? Consider no more! We placed an order for our low-key, family-style, reception last month and could not have been happier. We came in a mere 3 days prior and placed an order for street tacos and sides to feed a party of 50 adults. Came the following Saturday and since the food wasn’t quite ready at the expected time they added another several lbs of meat, extra guacamole, and extra sides on them. The star however, was the food. Now, given the fact that both of our familes are from Mexico I would say we all have a right to state when we’ve had good mexican food and when we’ve had better. I won’t claim that they have the best I have ever tasted but, damn, if they don’t come close. Fresh, flavorful, meats, authentic, homemade corn tortillas, and all of the sides were absolutely of the highest quality from the zesty salsa to the tangy cilantro. The guacamole was absolutely, hands-down, the best anyone had ever had/made themselves. I literally couldn’t eat enough of it. From start to finish the customer service was nothing short of excellent and the products delivered were absolutely exceptional.

I don’t usually come to this Primo location but when I’m in the area I tend to stop in. I go to Primos Oceanside more. Pros: taco Tuesday’s. Can’t beat 69 cent tacos! Cons: the parking lot is tiny and always busy, the girls that work there are pretty rude and the store needs major cleaning and updating! Oh and the produce is hardly ever fresh either.

Was in Vista for a softball game, and on the way home we decided to stop by Primo for some quick tacos! Always worth the wait, and definitely dirt cheap! They’ve got 69 cent Taco Tuesdays and Fridays here! Location & Parking: right off the 78 next to Boomers. Their parking lot kind of sucks, but it’s not impossible to find a spot. Market: lots of goodies here! Salsas, ceviches, fruits and veggies, a butcher, and their hot food counter! Yum! I live closer to the Oceanside Primo, which I prefer over this one. Because: 1) the Vista one, the hot food counter is inside of the grocery store, you line up next to the drink fridges, in Oside, the hot food counter is outside and separate from the actual market 2) no picnic tables at Vista, there are picnic tables at Oceanside 3) Oceanside has a bigger hot food menu Tacos are cheap and delicious!

The prepared meats here are the best. The arracherra preparado is hands down the best meats for BBQ’ing. It is a bit pricey but worth every bite. If you’re on a budget or just trying to stay away from the beef. The pollo asada is great for grilling too. Just try not to over cook it. Can’t blame the meat when it’s the chefs fault.

It was Taco Tuesday last week and I wanted to try a new place with cheap tacos but great taste and quality and long and behold my question was answered instantly! On Tuesdays and Fridays they do .69 cent tacos all day baby! and if your going to come by to par take on these heavenly delicious tacos, I recommend you stop by a bit more earlier than your expected taco time. The lines are long and there is a two step process when buying tacos here. First, you line up at the deli section and order however many tacos you want. Second, you take all your tacos to their other register located at the entrance and you wait in that long ass line too just to pay for it. If you try to sneak by without paying for it, your ass will be stopped and trapped immediately. This family that runs this place is very friendly and courteous, they even have most of their prices for liquor and food at the cheapest you can ever find in North County! So do yourself some justice and stop by at Primos for your taco needs! I promise the kids and everyone will love it, and they are not shy when building your tacos with tons of meats and veggies :)

Love taco Tuesday’s. You can get chicken, beef for 69 cents if you can go early do it. The lines get long. I’ve waited close to the exit door at times however the employees are very efficient and get the line moving in a good amount of time. The tacos are mini ones they come with cilantro and onions they ask you at the front if that’s ok, if you don’t want it you don’t have to get it. Your choice. They have a variety of other foods in the hot case you can purchase for dinner. I wish they would have a bigger parking lot I hate going here on Tuesdays because the parking lot is so tight and not enough space. Existing is a task in itself. I hope they fix the parking lot soon I like coming here.
