Quail Haven Farm

First and foremost I want to say that Lindy is amazing. She has a pep to her step from the moment you speak to her and is very personable.
I choose to give her 5 stars although my fiancé and I did not choose to use their venue for our wedding, but it wasn’t because of any negative reason towards Lindy or her venue site. It just wasn’t what we were looking for in terms of what we like and what we imagined. I have heard nothing but good things about this venue and the photos look absolutely amazing, even better in person with such a wide variety of what you can do to make it exactly what you want. She also had all the answers to all of our questions (mainly our wedding planner’s) and answered some that we didn’t even have to ask. Not to mention, Lindy let me pet Emma (my very first and only horse interaction).

Went to a wedding at this venue on October 15 and the setting was generally very nice. My issue’s with the venue are a few. The men’s restroom was very inadequate, it was very dark, and poorly lit. I was carrying a box of bottles to a car around 10pm in the vicinity of the restroom area. It was very dark, not lighted at all, and tripped over a beam that was protruding approximately 1 to 2 inches above the rest of the area. Needless to say I fell with the boxes, my camera, and bloodied my right forearm real good. Luckily my $ 4000 camera and lens were fine! Finally the guest parking lot is even worse. My car was parked in an area that was completely dark at night and there was absolutely no lighting at all. I was instructed to park here by venue staff. The only way you could see/​find your vehicle was to beep the key transmitter. The operators of this venue need to install adequate lighting and grade the property so that people don’t trip and fall.

I don’t even know where to start. Our wedding at Quail Haven farm was perfection. From the moment we stepped out of the car there we knew it was where we would get married. Lindy (the owner) is an incredible person. We really had no idea about weddings but she had answers to all of our questions and we felt so happy and relaxed knowing she had our back. The garden is beautiful, our guests absolutely loved it. We chose all our own vendors and brought own alcohol, which saved us so much money and gave us the ability to make our wedding exactly how we wanted it. Our friends and family honestly tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Quail haven farm is beautiful and Lindy is just amazing. We are forever grateful for her hard work and care. She loves weddings and cares so much about the people she works with. I can’t say enough good things.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile. Not being much of a girlie girl type, I began my search for an outdoor venue somewhat clueless. However, after meeting with Lindy, I started getting really excited about our wedding. The place is perfect, exactly what an outdoorsy gal like myself wanted. It’s whimsy, with so many natural growing flowers, you barely need to purchase any extra. I can’t rave enough about the entire execution of my wedding day. I will forever look back at my wedding day as one filled with family, friends and, best of all, no stress thanks to Lindy and her team. thank you Lindy!!!

This place is magical from the location to the staff. Lindy has the kindest heart and is the most helpful «wedding coordinator» ever. Her and her husband run a wonderful business and I cannot say enough great things about them. We got married here in June and she helped so much more than she needed to, even helping us during our wedding rehearsal
And the day of to make sure everyone was in place. The wedding was beautiful the Gardens are amazing and you will be making the best choice of your life to get married here. Even though it ends at 10, it’s enough time, we were exhausted by the end! We love you lindy! Thank you for making our wedding perfect!

I found Quail Haven Farms on Unilocal,and immediately fell in love with the reviews and photos. My mom and i went to meet Lindy who runs it and see the venue — let’s just say it was the only venue we looked at. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous but Lindy is friendly, funny, patient and incredibly helpful.
The wedding was last Friday and couldn’t have turned out more perfectly. Lindy was so easy to work with. She was ready with suggestions, solutions, and humor at every step. The venue was absolutely gorgeous — the roses are so lovely you hardly need to bring your own decorations. The lights strung around the reception area, and the mason jar candles they have hanging from the trellis make it absolutely magical after dark. You can pick your own vendors so have lots of control over the food, music, etc. unlike many venues I looked at online that force you to use their services. Lindy has a suggested vendor page on her website and we used a DJ and caterer from her recommendations and weren’t disappointed.
Every guest I’ve talked to has raved about how gorgeous the venue was. I even got to take a picture with a horse! It’s a kid and dog friendly wedding venue, so our dogs got to be a part of the ceremony, and our friends were able to bring their toddlers without having to worry.
If you’re looking for a rustic country wedding you can’t get better than Quail Haven Farms! I absolutely can’t think of anything that could have been better. Thank you Lindy!

My daughters Girl Scout troop used their cookie money to go horseback riding here. Brandi and all the teenage instructors were excellent with the girls. They explained how to care for the horses, saddle them and ride without fear. They were exceedingly patient and made it an incredible experience for everyone who rode.
After the ride we had a nice picnic lunch in the special events area that was very picturesque.
This is definitely a place we would return to ride again!

Why we chose Quail Haven for our wedding and reception in three simple points:
1. Property is extremely pretty. Photographers have little fits of joy over it, it’s quiet, and it’s the perfect size (our wedding was about 100 people). It’s also pretty centrally located for San Diego, Riverside, and Orange counties.
2. The owners, Lindy especially, are outstanding human beings. They bend over backwards to make things easy and straightforward for you. Perhaps most importantly, the evidence that they CARE can be seen with the constant improvements and upgrades to the venue. They also communicate very well.
3. They’re very flexible. We wanted to use our own vendors and bring in a musician, two things you would think most places would allow but don’t. Quail Haven let us do exactly what we were imagining, and it was perfect.

Looking for a wedding venue was a pretty strenuous experience. We wanted to have control over what our wedding turned out to be – no cookie cutter experience for us. At the same time, we knew we were going to need help and guidance. This was the only time we were going to do this, after all! After researching a ton of places online that were either massively out of our (small) budget or wouldn’t allow us to really make the day our own, we finally decided to go and visit the first promising venue we stumbled across: Quail Haven Farm. The rest is history! From the moment we drove up we knew this was where we were going to get married. It was the only place we looked at it, and it’s where we were happily married on May 24^th.
The grounds are absolutely gorgeous – a little rustic oasis. We were allowed to use our own vendors (most of which were recommended by the venue), which really let us make the day unique to our personalities. The entire venue has a very peaceful vibe about it, and I simply couldn’t imagine myself having a stressful moment there. This air of calm is thanks in large part to Lindy, the owner and wedding guru who helped us put together the perfect wedding. Lindy is friendly and attentive, but was never overbearing or salesy. Throughout the year between booking our date and the actual event we sent her countless e-​mails, and she always responded with great advice in a timely manner. I am by no means an event planner, and a year’s worth of unfamiliar activities really should have had my anxieties boiling over, but being able to turn to Lindy meant I never got to that point!
The day of our wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and everything truly went exactly as planned – thanks in large part to Lindy keeping us on schedule. Literally every attendee came up to us to compliment the gorgeous venue, and we couldn’t have agreed more. It was the perfect backdrop to our own unique little ceremony and reception, and it only got lovelier as the day progressed. Thank you so much to Lindy and Quail Haven for being the absolute best wedding venue in San Diego. Get married here, or if you’re already married throw a party – seriously, find an excuse to have an event at this amazing place!

This was our wedding venue and let me just tell you that it’s the most gorgeous place in southern ca. Lindy is the owner of quail heaven and she was just amazing! She made our dream wedding possible! She worked with us on everything we needed and her and her sister were so sweet and professional.

This is the place to be for serious riding lessons – they have been great! From beginner to experienced rider. My daughter has been riding for years but the level of improvement in her skills since coming here is amazing. Trainers are professional, reliable, prices are reasonable. Opportunity to learn many things, flexible schedule.

We hosted my daughter’s 6^th birthday party here in March and it was such a great experience. The owner, Lindy, was great about communicating and very accommodating. Brandy and the girls were amazing with my daughter and her guests… even patiently working with one that was a little timid around the horses. Even Miguel the groundskeeper/​handyman was so helpful and friendly. We did not encounter one person there who didn’t go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous… it made my job decorating so easy because the scenery provided so much! My daughter and her guests enjoyed themselves greatly and will no doubt remember this experience forever. This place is an amazing bargain as well… for the price other companies were charging just for one hour with two ponies, we got an hour with six ponies/​horses with individual trainers/​assistants for each rider and they played games like «carry the egg,» «who can keep the most water in her cup?» and «musical stalls.» I really enjoyed sitting back, relaxing, and snapping pictures for that hour while Brandy took over and led the horseback activities. And the girls were all smiling and giggling the whole time. Not to mention for the price we also got use of the venue, tables, and chairs. You just can’t beat that! Do not hesitate to book your event here… you won’t regret it :)

I coordinated a wedding here and had the pleasure of meeting Lindy… she is so nice, helpful and easy to work with. This place is such a great hidden spot for couples looking for a fantastic, rustic, outdoor wedding venue. So much space and great photo opps with the horses in the barn. Plus they are flexible with which vendors you can bring in which is key to making a wedding uniquely you. Can’t wait to come back again!

My wife and I got married here in early May and it was GORGEOUS! I have to admit I had my doubts, when we picked the place out the previous summer. My wife had this vision for a beautiful garden wedding and Quail Haven Farm was a perfect canvas for my wife to work her magic. The roses all seemed to be blooming at the perfect time and created a wonderful backdrop for all of our photos. Lindy was incredibly friendly and helpful from the day we booked. I can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is MAGICAL. An overwhelming number of our guests walked up to me wide-​eyed and said «this place is amazing!»
So many wedding venues provide you with their own vision of what your wedding should be — Quail Haven Farm truly is a place where you can run wild with YOUR vision. We had a medieval theme… and as far as we were concerned it was the most perfect spot in the universe for the wedding.
Lindy is an absolute angel. Her and her husband (who is responsible for most of the gorgeous garden and foliage rambling about the property) made us feel like family… she let our imaginations run wild and was so supportive! They really went above and beyond what we would expect from a vendor.
QHF allows you to bring in all your vendors (which for me was huge) and they included the table and chair rentals in our contract — that made life SO easy! Their staff was awesome too — cheery and low key (I barely saw them but magically the work was getting done!) We also ended up getting a HUGE treat on the day of the wedding — they were able to provide some amazing extras (like a huge dance floor at NO cost) just based on the sheer luck and good timing of some of their other events. We were over the moon.
Our guests joked that our wedding would have to become an annual tradition — Quail Haven Farm was a huge hit… this place has some serious heart.

What a beautiful, just a little bit deep in the city of Vista, off Golpher Canyon. I had been here before with my goddaughter and her mom. She has her horse riding lessons here. They board horses here as well.
The grounds are well kept. I don’t know any of the staff so I can’t brief you in that area.
They have an area for outdoor party events, birthday parties, bridal showers, small weddings, etc.
So kick on your boots and check out the place, you may want to hold an special event here.

My daughter has been riding at Quail Haven Farm 4 months and absolutely loves it! I can not say enough about everyone who works here! Brandi is amazing, James and Lindy are so kind and welcoming. The program they offer is outstanding.

I got married at Quail Haven Farm this summer, July 2012, and I am so glad that I did! My wife and I chose to get married here because it reminded us of San Luis Obispo County, where we met each other in college. The farm is absolutely beautiful with a red barn, stunning garden area for the ceremony, and reception area with enough room to dance, eat, and play lawn games.
We had a DIY wedding where we made all of our decorations and flowers although we did not have to decorate the farm very much because the venue is naturally so beautiful (the additions we made were to add a personal touch that reflected our personalities.) Lindy was very gracious and allowed us to visit the farm whenever we needed to with prior notification. We also had our rehearsal there the day before and Lindy allowed us to begin setting things up and she was flexible in letting us come early the day of the wedding (which was very helpful for us DIYers.) Lindy and her husband, James, went above and beyond when it came to helping us during our wedding, and for that were are extremely grateful!
Lindy was so helpful, flexible, and kind she made it possible for us to have the perfect day to celebrate our marriage with our friends and families in a way that reflected who we are. We are still in awe of how beautiful our wedding was and we
know that the setting of their gorgeous farm played a huge role in our
wedding being so special. All of our friends and family had nothing
but positive things to say about their farm and how helpful Lindy and
James were throughout the day and during the rehearsal.

I had great time riding at Quail Haven Farm. I am a beginner to horse back riding and the trainers were very patient and sensitive to that.
My lesson started with the basic maintenance of horse and preparing him for the ride. I worked with «Clyde,» a gorgeous mahogany colored horse. After getting Clyde groomed and saddled, we headed to the ring to begin our lesson. I was a little nervous a first because Clyde is huge and can be a bit intimidating, however, my trainer Lizzy talked me through everything that I needed to do and I so found myself relaxed atop Clyde. We worked on basics because it was my first lesson; walking, stopping, steering, turning, trotting and posting. We finished the lesson with a walk along a trail on their property.
