Quick Check Smog

I went in for a smog check on ⁵⁄₂₃. I told the smog tech in the office, before the inspection began, that I did not have a radiator fan. He gave me the blank (F U) stare and said nothing. Assuming he was having a bad day I didn’t think anything of it. 2 – 3 minutes later he came back with a sheet telling me I failed the visual inspection due to the missing fan. Good customer service would be to tell me upfront that it wouldn’t pass. Instead of carrying through with the inspection and immediately fail it. The tech clearly just used this opportunity to fleece me for $ 40. Be warned!

Didn’t read any of the reviews before I went. Staff isn’t super friendly, like the rest of the reviews say. However the name is correct. They are fast. My truck was done in about 10 minutes. I went next door to the Mexican food restaurant and by the time I got back it was ready. My truck was $ 54 for smog and certificate. I would probably go back again. I’ve done smogs else where and it’s been over an hour to do a smog on my truck. My truck passed so I can’t really complain at all

I have been coming to Quick Check Smog for years. The reason I come back is they are very friendly, fast and really do a good job. Their price is fair. They have all the latest and most modern equipment. Ron the owner is a very good person and trustworthy too.

Random little place in vista had to get a smog test and wanted to get it out of the way so I stopped by here. Let me just say every single employee is extremely rude… They look at you like ur nothing… Try to At Least fake a smile since we are the ones keeping you open.. But enough bout them… Smog was done quick… And my truck passed. Cost me 54 $ altho soon after leaving my engine light turned on… So I’m not sure how Accurate they really are. I passed tho. Sooo that’s all that matters.

Fast and friendly! Good customer service and great smog price! For all cars! Called 4 different places in vista and they were the lowest price for smog test. I would defeatedly come back!

Best smog check in town! Quick and courteous! Great price. This place can be a bit busy if you show up on a weekend the first of the month. They also rent Haul.

Made an appointment for a 1400 smog check and when I got there they said there Evap. Mach. just went down, ok… fair enough. Went back 5 days later and when I asked if the machine was back up the attendant didn’t know what I was talking about, ok… maybe he didn’t know? Now on my third attempt at trying to get this thing smogged because of an EVAP. leak. They said when you bring it back let us know your retesting and that the issue is evap. so that is what I did. Well, they did the whole test, only to find out that it still had an evap. issue and charged me full price again!!! I know it’s not there fault my car has this issue but you would think they would have checked the evap. first and charged me accordingly… Taking my business elsewhere.

it is bad enough to have to register my car every year, but to have to get it smogged too really puts me in a bad mood. Fortunately the people at Quick Check Smog were fast, friendly, and efficient. I will definitely be back:)

I came here to have my car smog checked. I’m a female and know nothing about cars and they took advantage of that. My check engine light was on and they knew before even testing it I wouldn’t pass. And instead of telling me to go get a diagnostic done before having it tested they did it just to take my money. The sign outside says $ 35 for a smog check, well thats a false statement, thats only for small cars. So I go in to find out its 45 for small suv’s. so I said ok. THEN I look at my receipt after they charged my card and they charged me 54.00! 8.00 extra for a certificate I didn’t even get, cause I didn’t pass… They told me to go get the two problems fixed and come back. Well they gave me false information. It turns out what there error code popped up wasn’t even the problem and they told me to go have something fixed I didn’t even need to have fixed! Don’t go here, it’s the worst rip of I have ever experienced.

I wouldn’t recommend this smog place to anybody! First of all, I had an appointment on a Saturday, I show up and they had me wait 1 hour! The smog technician is unprofessional and rude! Unfortunately my car did not pass smog and had to make another appointment. I made an appointment for the following Monday, I show up and the owner tells me your car is up next. 30 minutes later and I’m still waiting! I finally got sick of waiting and took off. I took my car to another place called «BUDGET SMOG» in Vista and my car pass smog with flying colors.
FYI– keep an eye on the fees, if you need to retake your smog test there are going to charge you an additional $ 44 dollars.

Cheapest place around! You can walk in or make an appointment. What else can you say I guess, it sucks that you are forced to smog check so its nice not to have to pay too much.

I needed a smog check ASAP since I procrastinated getting it done by my registration due date. They fit me in quickly and easily. Helpful and affordable!!! I recommend !!!

Best price around here. Usually pretty quick, but last time I called for an appointment and got right in.
