I eat here every single time I’m in town. The pastor tacos as well as the potatoe tacos are sooooo yummy!

Outstanding Tacos. Always fresh. Nobody has better carnitas. I love this place.

Tacos are amazing. Tried the pastor fries for the first time, delicious. You don’t have to wait for taco Tuesday either. $ 1.00 tacos every night !.

I love this place. I usually go for the California burrito — great flavor and it’s huge. I can’t always finish it. What I love most though, is their salsa bar. Again, lots of flavor and plenty of kick in their spicier options without being overpowering. I tried the carne asada plate once and found the carne to be dry. It was still good, but not great. My braver friends have tried the lengua y cabeza tacos and really enjoyed those. There’s a few tables to eat in and usually some fun music playing. I mostly do take-out and the service is fast and friendly.

I love taco bar, the Food is always delicious. The service… TERRIBLE, every time I walk into this place every employee stares at me then pretends I’m not there and starts doing something els. They acknowledge me about 5 minutes later, either that or I have to call out to someone for help. Last time I was there one of the girls rolled her eyes at me when I told her there weren’t any lemons in the salsa bar. She was so rude. I personally continue to go back because the food is pretty authentic, if it weren’t for the service this place would be amazing. If I find another place with similar tacos I would stop going to taco bar. Long story short, good food, awful service !

Spit roasted al pastor is what brought us here and we had a really great lunch! It can get pretty full, expect a line and some trouble finding a place to sit down, but the lines go quickly and service was fantastic! We went with al pastor tacos, tortas and a burrito and I loved every bit of it! Yummy salsa bar with plenty of options. Prices and portions are ok, selection is endless, but as long as you get something with al pastor it will be perfect! Great dining option in the area!

I frequent the San Marcos location so I had high hopes for the Taco Bar in Vista. Three of the four orders were served cold. When I questioned the temperature of the food, I was told that’s how it is served. The cheese wasn’t melted & the food felt like it had been sitting for awhile. They took it back, but unfortunately, it was returned in similar fashion. I love the taco selection and salsa bar. A plus, they sell beer!

The food is absolutely amazing for the price! Great food, but the customer service isn’t the best. The customer service is the only reason I don’t go here more often. The young workers doing the register act unprofessional at times, and they don’t have the best attitude.

About as bland and generic as you’d expect from a place simply called Taco Bar. The al pastor tacos are really good, I’ll give it that. But the carnitas tacos are very average and the asada meat they use in their tacos did not taste fresh at all and was pretty gross. Pass.

I’ve ate here 3 times once for breakfast and last couple times for lunch. Breakfast burrito was awesome, rolled tacos were beef they were out of chicken :(. But they were still good. Ordered today a Cali Burrito with Horchta. Burrito was bomb but the Horchta was chalky tasting, def not the greatest. But that won’t stop me from still going food is epic, and service is always above and beyond! Thanks for opening up in the area!

Everything here is delicious. I go at least once a week and it always seems to be busy, but I don’t mind the small wait. I usually go for their tacos, which are made on fresh corn tortillas. If you go for tacos, go Tuesday’s since they’re $ 1! Otherwise they’re $ 3-$ 4, which I think is a tad pricey. Definitely have to try their adobada and carnitas with the green salsa!

Talk about street tacos! This place is the real deal. Reminds me of eating on some dirt covered abandoned parking lot, ordering from a small street cart in Mexico, excited for the order of al pastor tacos to be ready! Tortillas are homemade, salsas are spicy and guacamole is great. Highly recommend the al pastor meat. They have student specials and Taco Tuesday specials. Must try.

$ 1 tacos on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can beat the deal. I have tried many taquerias and hands down they have the best al pastor tacos. Plenty of meat and guacamole in the tacos.

Taco Tuesday AND Wednesday — I’m in heaven! I LOVE the pastor, and have tried almost all of the other tacos that are on the $ 1 special menu. I’ve been there 4 times now(that’s how I was able to try them all). Here’s my opinion(keep in mind, some of them, I’ve only tried once) — I also order EVERYTHING without onions and/or cilantro. Pastor: great flavor and moist and Oh! SOGOOD! Hands down, my favorite! Carnitas: a little too dry for my taste, decent flavor though. Birria: flavorful and moist, another great choice Chicken: it was ok, just not my favorite there. Potato: nice for a change up(hard shell)…but, nowhere as good as some of the others. Beef: shredded. Moist, but bland. But, that is why they have birria(which is shredded beef in red sauce) — the plain beef is a great option for kids or those that prefer a more bland flavor. Fish(breaded): nice flavor to the fish, good sized & filling. Mini bean & cheese burrito: great tasting beans & lots of cheese. The flour tortilla was just the way I like it, soft and kinda«fluffy» Salsa bar: plenty of options(I prefer the roasted red one). The hot carrots on most of my visits, were perfectly spicy(for my taste), and once, they were literally hotter than eating a pepper. It was great for clearing out my sinuses, but could only handle a few. The limes are fresh and juicy. Fresh cucumbers are nice to have to «cool off the fire», if one tries a salsa, or pepper(or carrots) that are too hot for you. They keep the salsa bar clean and well stocked. Service: Friendly, helpful and perfect — EVERYTIME! See you for Taco Tuesday and/or Wednesday!!!(just wish I lived closer)

I come to Taco Bar all the time for the street tacos and they are delicious! They make the corn tortillas fresh in the restaurant behind the glass in front of you! Tonight I ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was very disappointing. Frozen shrimp!!! They tasted like water. So I would definitely recommend coming here for the tacos they definitely live up to the name of the restaurant!

Total party atmosphere. Tried the carne asada steak fries, pastor pork and fish tortas sandwiches, an asada mulitas, and a grilled chicken sopes. Wish I could’ve ate it all in one sitting it was so good, but ended up too full. Plenty of leftovers for later. They hand press the tortillas the old fashioned way and I fawned over the tortas bread. Their pork was on a large rotating vertical spit(spinning griller) with the upper half of a pineapple on the top and the other half on the bottom. Made it look like a giant carrot. It also happens to be their logo. The giant menu is easy to read and they cook in a kitchen at the front where you can see how everything is prepared. We’re going to end up being regulars here. Splendid and superb service.

Taco Enthusiasts rejoice! With the over inundation of Mexican themed restaurants in the San Diego area, it has become all too common for taco preparations to become … Americanized. Taco Bar is not that. Taco Bar is legit, a diamond in the rough with a proper Al Pastor(my litmus test). This little gem is tucked into a supermarket shopping plaza, so there’s loads of parking, their menu is complete, they serve beer,…and, as I mentioned, they do Al Pastor properly.

Great food and great customer service! By far the best tacos in town! Every time I go all the employees greet me with a big genuine smile on their face. This is now my official lunch spot! Oh and for those who don’t know not only do they do Taco Tuesday but also Taco Wednesday!

Taco Bar is the poster child of how it really does pay culinary dividends to be a Mexican place near Mexico. There is a wonderful mix of traditional techniques, both traditional and more recent foods, friendly employees, a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine with infinite refills and good taste in music. It really is rewarding to go here on their Taco Tuesdays and Taco Wednesdays. It is worth the drive out to a particular strip mall in the heat. I went here for Taco Tuesday. My order consisted of three pork tacos and a medium drink, all for a grand total of $ 5.97. The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine let me have Coca-Cola Orange, which is usually not available in the United States. They served the three pork tacos to me only about four minutes after I had ordered. There was lots of shade despite the Southern California heat. The pork tacos had a marinaded pork, an avocado, a glorious sauce and an outstanding tortilla. Such pork was the epitome of crispy, sweet and refined. The avocados and sauce greatly enhanced the pork. This meal that I had was inexpensive, filling and swell. Taco Bar screams authenticity with its grill, spit and menu packed with traditional staples. You owe it to yourself to try Taco Bar if you are in Vista.

I had been wanting to try this spot for some time and am so happy that we finally got the chance! Went for $ 1 Taco Tuesday specials and were not disappointed. I had one chicken and one veggie, the man had 6(yes, 6!) of the adobada with meat and cheese only. The chicken was fresh and tender and the veggie was sublime with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. The man thoroughly enjoyed his and said it was right up there with the best he’s ever had. Considering we both grew up with homemade Mexican food I would say we are both worthy judges. After my two $ 1 tacos I decided to splurge on a battered fish taco and OMG… I’m so glad I did! Fresh, flavorful and with the perfect crispy outside, it sent my tastebuds into orbit! Sorry for all other fish taco joints but, Taco Bar has you beat! We will be back!
