Never judge a book by its cover, nor a restaurant by its façade. The food is consistently fantastic and very reasonably priced.
So far my two favorites are:
Curry chicken #70
Beef noodle rare Tai #31
The curry chicken is a little spicy. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 it’s a 4.
Definitely order by number, English is not their first language. Very sweet people.

We were hooked the first time we came here. The food is so tasty. We have a hard time tearing ourselves away from what we regularly order as we know how great it is. But each time we do, we have a new favorite. We have never been disappointed! We try to come here at least once a week. I highly recommend this place. It’s not much to look at but the food is the best Vietnamese in north county and the price is insanely low for the quality of the food.

Most phở places I go to taste the same, but this one is definitely better than most. The phở broth is sooo amazing and rich, and they are generous with the meat too. Good service and friendly people on top of that.

This place is BOMB! The chicken phở (fa) is so potent, not watered down like a lot of these other places. The Curry is also so good! Everything about this place is just delicious! They have sazon (spanish for flavor). You cannot go wrong eating at Tasty Phở, been a loyal customer since they opened!

This has been my new go to phở place. The broth is very good and it always seems fresh. The décor is typical of a phở restaurant, nothing special but for a 7 $ bowl of soup I don’t really mind it. The service is good and they have a large menu. However I have only gotten the soup. My husband has tried a few different things and he has always been satisfied.

I walked in and ordered take out. I usually go to phở lucky but I was passing by on my way home, I ordered at 6:55pm and waited and waited and waited… three people walked in and out with their food, at this point I was getting pissed, I Finally asked for my money back it was 7:35 pm at this point … the guy responded with we are short staffed in the kitchen.. Well that’s funny four people walked in and out with food with the quickness.. I was upset more because I felt like crap and justed wanted my soup to go at home, won’t be coming back here

So, I’ve been here 4 times and gotten the same thing each time because I enjoy it so much! («Healthy meal» which is chicken phở and shrimp spring rolls & tea for $ 8.95!)

I’ve been coming to this place a lot since it’s close to my work and because it’s great to have when you’re feeling under the weather. The staff is great and the phó is always delicious. Kind of small, it has 3 booths and 4 tables, but it’s workers are very nice and the food is awesome! Whether it’s your first time trying phó or not, I think this place is the best one of North County I’ve tried yet.
It’s kind of a hidden gem since it’s tucked away between some other stores, but the small mom and pop looking shops are always the ones with the best food.
Recommend. Come and check it out.

This place is one my favorite places to eat!
Fresh ingredients from locally grown markets make super delicious Vietnamese food! Just finished my «House special» and really enjoyed the fresh onions, bean sprouts, Serrano peppers (hot), and rare beef brisket and tendon. They have many healthy lunches and dinners including vegetarian meals!
The great thing about eating at Tasty Phở is the great service and genuine hospitality John and his family provide. Great to eat in or take home on a rainy day. They also have healthy egg roll, and spring rolls too!
The food sits well in the belly after you eat and prices are very very good!
They usually stay open till 9pm for those of us who crave something healthier for a midnight snack!

So glad we found this place, and it’s just up the street from us! Great for takeout in a pinch. Fresh and delicious. We get the rare beef Phở and spring rolls.
Owners are friendly and service is fast. So cool to be able to get great Phở in North County.

the ONLY PLACE I go out of my way to get beef stew. I have been to 3 places in san marcos since moving, and no one seems to carry beef stew JUST phở.
It takes some time to get your food… but thats because its FRESH. If youre on a time crunch call 20min. ahead and youre golden.

My wife was craving a hot bowl of soup so Tasty Phở came to the rescue! It was off to a rough start with a hair on the water glass, but it was quickly removed with a new glass. It’s a tiny restaurant hidden in a strip mall of Santa Fe Drive. It’s a simple little spot with tasty cheap food which is our kind of place. We had the shrimp vermicelli and veggie phở. Two healthy solid choices that shouldn’t leave you with a stomach is a great food choice for me! If you are in the Vista area craving your Vietnamese fix think of Tasty Phở.
