Windmill Cleaners

I was witness to the owner getting surly with a customer in front of me…
My turn! I was promised order for Saturday, as it worked out I picked up my order Monday so I was confident all would be well… where are the shirts? Shirts found after 5 minutes. Found shirts were not folded as ordered… Exasperated owner Steve stepped in and started to fold since employee ‘didn’t know how’. Process was painful to watch.
After 10mins I couldn’t wait any longer and I said I’ll take the other 2 hanging. He said he would credit my acct… got a confusing call later saying order was rung up wrong and he ‘didn’t owe me anything’ and the other lady before me was wrong. Obviously, he was still upset at the customer before me! Evidently she had uneven legs which caused bad custom tailoring!!! Or was it because of the bad manufacturing of the pants, as he also suggested???
My bill is confusing even when I return his call. He started to argue with me when I asked him to detail the charges. I was just doing the math, which still didn’t jibe. My math did show the following: Bad service+argumentative/angry people = no repeat business.

Used to go to this cleaners weekly. In the past 6 months they have ruined a comforter and now the zipper on an expensive jacket. When asking why they wouldn’t replace the zipper they broke, a very angry employee told me they would never do that & when I confronted her politely she told me I had no right to be upset & threw my credit card at me. Will never return again!

Maybe I’m just spoiled, having lived in the dry-​cleaning mecca known as Clairemont Mesa, but I’ve now been shocked twice by the prices at Windmill. Their prices are triple what I used to pay at my old cleaner, and I don’t notice any change in how well my shirts are cleaned and pressed. The hangers are really nice, but they’re essentially still throw-away’s.
I will, without a doubt, never go back to Windmill. My wallet just can’t handle it. I’ll drive the 2 minutes to San Marcos Blvd. to save $ 40 bucks on a weeks worth of dry-​cleaning.

I used to live in Calrsbad, and was a loyal customer to Windmill Cleaners for years. I moved a couple months ago, but noticed a new location had opened! I went to 7 – 11 and was excited to see the familiar sign that read «Windmill Cleaners».
I dropped by with my daughters wedding dress, which was handmade and passed down for generations. There were yellow stains on the once ivory satin and I was very wary to send it anywhere else. I brought it in, and as always, this cleaners never seems to let me down. The dress was just like it was on the morning of my daughter’s wedding day.
I told my husband and he was equally excited of the new convenient location. The new cleaners that we had been recommended to, had ruined his shirt countless times. We brought a load of shirts in that had been mistreated, and Windmill Cleaners did their magic again! We picked up nicely cleaned, starched just right shirts and my husband goes to work feeling good in what he is wearing.
Simply the best place to go to for any given circumstance. I was greeted with their warm and friendly staff and they finished the job with superb service that is simply unheard of. I would gladly return at almost any cost simply based on their phenomenal service and the result of my order. I’ve been to a lot of cleaners but this is North County’s best!

I brought nine items here to be dry cleaned. Upon pick-​up, I presented a $ 20 off coupon. I was told by the employee at the front of the store that I should have presented it drop-​off, thus, I couldn’t use the coupon. I asked to speak with the manager; the owner ended up allowing me to use the coupon but made the transaction painfully long and I am not sure that I actually received the full discount. The owner also told me when I left that I must present coupons when I drop my items off as I left. Are you kidding me… I shouldn’t have to present a coupon when I drop my items off unless they are jacking up the prices and then subtracting the discount to equal the price it should have been originally without a coupon. Don’t go here!
