We stayed at Gold Creek Cabin for several days during the summer. It is a truly impressive house — a real log cabin that is spacious, well appointed, and nicely decorated. Nestled deep in the woods, it is quite secluded and a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends.
The only down side is that to get to many places (grocery store, hikes) from the cabin you need to drive for a half-​hour or more.
If you do stay here, the Shealor Lake hike near Silver Lake is well worth the ~35 minute drive.
