This is a nice little Chinese food restaurant. There are many small town bad Chinese food restaurants in just about every little town but the food here is truly quite good. Everything is freshly prepared, clean and tasty. This is certainly not a Michelin star rated Chinese restaurant but is exactly what it should be; quick, clean and tasty takeout food with generous portions at a fair price.

Meh… Average Americanised Chinese take-away. Decent but not mind blowing. Friendly family runs it and it’s good enough for take-away when we don’t want to bother good no out for Chinese. I wouldn’t recommend traveling out of your way, but if you just want some quick Americanized Chinese take-away and are near by, it’s not terrible.

They are very nice here and appreciate the business. The food is tasty and this is a popular stop on the way home from sports games at the high school on those nights when dinner just isn’t going to be made. The food is made to order and is hot and fresh. I have enjoyed the wide range of items on the menu.

We order take out from China Garden about once a month. It has your typical take out Chinese menu items. The food is good and the quality is consistent.

While driving out to the Hilltowns, I stopped in for lunch at China Garden, which is located at Voorheesville Centre(Hannaford). The place is a typical looking strip plaza Chinese eatery, which is order at the counter with open kitchen and self serve booth and table seating. There were several flat pieces of cardboard laid out on the floor between the front door and counter. It was a bit messy outside with lots of slush and snow in the parking lot. The menu offerings here are quite good including the standard Chinese dishes and chef’s specialties including Hunan and Szechuan dishes. They have several of my favorites on the menu including seafood pan fried noodles, eggplant with garlic sauce, Singapore chow mei fun, and ma po tofu. Most dishes are under $ 11 and they offer coupon specials for free food items with orders over $ 10, $ 20, $ 25, and $ 30, specials not included. 37 Lunch Specials($ 5.30-$ 5.65/until 3PM) served with pork fried rice or steamed rice and can of soda and 31 Special Combinations($ 7.55-$ 8.25) served with fried rice or steamed rice and egg roll are offered. For lunch takeout, I ordered the L18 Shrimp with Garlic Sauce($ 5.60 plus tax) with pork fried rice and a can of Diet Pepsi from the cooler. The seating area was a bit chilly, but I only had to wait 5 minutes when my order was all set to go. The steaming hot food was served in round foil container, a good lunch portion. The Shrimp with Garlic Sauce had soft jumbo shrimp, fresh broccoli, baby corn, green peppers, bamboo, onions, carrots, and water chestnuts in a spicy sauce. The fried rice(light yellow) had onions and small pieces of tender roast pork. Overall, the food was very good and tasted fresh. CLOSED on Sundays
