Clean, well set up Goodwill. Some of the clothing was more worn than I prefer and there was a lot of George brand stuff — I may have just hit an off day though, I don’t know. The kid book selection was great. The furniture selection wasn’t very good — a few beaten up pieces of furniture, that was about it. Overall a decent thrifting experience, and we walked out with a few good scores.

This is a fairly new location, so it’s clean and bright. I go to Goodwill for books and vinyl LPs. West Lafayette is a college town, so you’re going to find second hand items from college students, professors, folks who work at the college, etc. I think it’s safe to say you will find a lot of good, clean, nice stuff here. Getting to the location may be a little tricky. You have to use an access road off of Sagamore Parkway and the store is part of a complex of many shops and restaurants, and not very visible from Sagamore Parkway. You could miss the turn if you’re not careful. So either right after or right before the Soldier’s Home Road bridge depending on your direction of travel on Sagamore, turn at the stoplight and drive towards the bridge. It’s worth the effort to find this place.

My husband is an alumnus of Purdue University. I donated many vintage Purdue Logo/Themed t-shirts and sweatshirts. Please shop here and give them a good home.

I don’t really shop there, I only go there to donate stuff. It seems like they have a pretty good selection of things, including books, older CDs, furniture, décor, clothing. The staff members are super friendly. The store front is very clean and welcoming, too.

I frequent thrift stores for books. I was driving through Danville and stopped for gas and lo and behold there was a large goodwill close by. The store was very large and had a sufficient and well organized book collection. However, the kids book section was terrible. Just a Ron of books in a big box. Impossible to sort through.

I love browsing through thrift stores, and I was sad to move out here to Indiana and not be able to find any really good vintage or consignment stores(e.g. Crossroads Trading Co.). However, the Goodwills in the Lafayette area are pretty good. This one in West Lafayette is pretty new, so it is generally well kept and pretty clean. The best part about the Goodwills here is that they often get new stuff donated by Target — especially seasonal stuff like holiday decorations and halloween costumes. Every now and then you can find a nice vintage skirt or a fun t-shirt. And I’ve seen a couple kids come through looking for cheap costume ideas for Breakfast Club. I do think the best Goodwill in the area, however, is the new one that just opened up in Lafayette over by the Walmart on SR350.
