Acapulcos

Had a terrible experience here, and will never go back. Hardly anyone in the restaurant; we were seated, received chips and salsa (the salsa was the best part of the visit) and ordered two margaritas. My husband ordered a burrito, from the portion of the menu entitled «Burritos». When his meal came, it was what appeared to be what was supposed to be inside the burrito, but instead was grilled chicken, rice and beans… a plate. The waiter acted like we were crazy when we said the order was for a burrito… he was not at all helpful or pleasant. My husband, frustrated, said forget it… we would eat our meals and be done with it. The entire rest of the meal NO ONE came to our table… not to offer a drink, check on our food, nothing. It felt as though they were embarrassed, and ignored us totally! We finally stood beside the table for a number of minutes, with coats on, waiting for the check… and the waiter seemed surprised that we were angry. This is NOT a large place! So disappointing… and the food wasn’t even the least bit memorable. I had the oceana (?) burrito (seafood — sounded interesting, and I love seafood) but it was so salty it was nearly inedible. There are other local choices for Mexican — don’t come here!

Have not been in years, last few times we went the floor was so dirty/​greasy you could slide on it. Judging by the reviews it has not got better.

Great margaritas, good service, terrible food. Drink enough margaritas and you probably won’t notice though.

So the 4 of us arrived shortly after 7. No water was served to us and we waited so long to order drinks that we ended up just ordering our meals at the same time. We ordered 2 cokes, a beer, and a water. Over 30 minutes later, our «waitress» comes to our table with 2 beers. So after that mess, we continued to wait… and wait. Now an hour and 45 minutes into our night, our drinks are gone, no one has been to our table since, and we’re talking about leaving when our food arrives. Again our «waitress» is gone before we can order more drinks. Food was over-​priced and bland. I had the fish tacos which were much more impressive from the 99 across the street. Not once did the «waitress» come to see if we needed anything, or to apologize for the horrendous service. And now our wait for the check begins.
Regretful waste of hard earned money and time.

Awful. Absolutely awful. For a Saturday night, how can service be so bad!!? I mean, the bartender kept disappearing and the wait for either a drink or the food was way too long. When the food finally made it out, it was obvious it’d been sitting under the heat lamp for the 15 minutes the bartender was seen talking outside on his cell phone. After all that, the food was not good. Tacos Carbon was literally just a few pieces of meat on a soft taco. Guac and pico was also hot from the lights; very unappetizing. Couldn’t even finish the plate. Not worth it, at all.

Absolute gross & dirty. Less than .0001 of a star is giving this place a compliment. The board of health clearly overlooked this place & so should you. I went here & I was very hungry & was with my girl friend. We sat in the front (street side) in a booth, our feet felt like they were on the floor of a cinema and stuck a lot. We ordered drinks and the chips came out in a wicker basket that had caked on salsa on 1 side. I’m not talking a little bit either, the waiter apologized & replaced it when the drinks arrived. (It was weird sitting their and waiting b/​c it was not busy at all, the waiter stood in the corner and after about 5 minutes, then brought the chips & drinks) I was hoping the drink would be excessively strong so I might be able to forget the experience I had already incurred. (Looking around at the other tables, they were not really cleaned. Wiped down yes but the tables had a haze to them.) Getting back to the drinks that when I ordered I specifically asked to be able to taste the Tequila (Patron) sure enough… they were watered down. We ordered food, (thinking how much worse can it get), and the momentum of poor standards just kept coming. The beef was tuff (in a taco) like a piece of popcorn (how that is even possible IDK) and the chicken had freezer burn. It gets worse but I have to stop, I’m hoping this helps & if your still considering going their. Bring some extra fly paper. big black flies (not the tiny ones around bars in the summer.) BIG ones are everywhere in their. Good luck

My family wanted Mexican food while on vacation and so the 6 of us ended up at Acapulcos. We were seated quickly, but that was all that was quick. The waitress took quite a while to bring water and then come back to take our drink orders. Once that was done, she gave us a few more minutes and then came back for our food order. And thus the waiting began. No drinks for at least 15 minutes. We actually thought our food was going to be out before our drinks. No one ordered anything more exotic than a margarita so I don’t know why it took so long. Finally drinks arrive and a minute or 2 later the food arrived.
The servings were generous and quite good. No one had any complaints about the food. I had the fajita salad with grilled chicken. The only disappointment was that the lettuce was just iceberg — would liked to have had romaine or another green as well. The vegetarian dishes were not quite as they were pictured on the menu. The portion size was actually larger than shown. Both girls cleaned their plates.
Now for more waiting. As soon as the waitress came to clear the plates, we told her we were in a hurry to get somewhere else so we wanted the check right away. Yeah, that didn’t happen. We actually had to ask another server to ask our waitress to bring the check over. When she brought it, I had the credit card ready and handed it to her and reminded her that we were in a hurry. Waited at least another 10 minutes for her to process the credit card.
So, the food was good, it was just not a great over all experience. May look somewhere else for Mexican food the next time we are on Cape Cod.

Ate here a few months ago while visiting. Always stop by for a great meal every year we come to the cape (we also frequent the location in Stratford, CT).
This year was much different. As soon as we walked in we noticed that the place was extremely dirty. The seats and floor were littered with old food and the windows had dirty, greasy kid finger streaks all down them (worth mentioning we were one table out of 2 that were occupied on the earlier side for lunch… not too much activity to be able to keep the place clean in between servings).
We ordered tacos for my 6 year old daughter. Aside from breakfast 5 hours ago this was the only meal she ate. She said the meat tasted funny and had a few bites (then pushed the plate to the side). We smelled it and it did smell a little rancid but dismissed any concerns because we have never had any issues.
Back at our hotel about 30 minutes later, my daughter said her stomach hurt her. No sooner did I have her lay down, she projectile vomited all of the taco she ate. She had the chills and diarrhea for about 20 minutes straight. One quick bout and no issues after that could only mean food poisoning.
We called and spoke to the manager, not looking for anything in return but to only raise awareness for other children and/​or adults who eat their taco meat that day. The manager had no sympathy and didn’t really feel as if she needed to do anything about a potentially bad batch of meat (basically as if we were making this up)! I was tempted to roll up the bed sheets with vomit and have a face to face with her presenting proof of what transpired. She said she would send vouchers to us for us to take to the CT location, but they never arrived (2 months ago now and still nothing). We contacted the CT location about it and raised a complaint as well. You can’t mess with food poisoning period and if you are in the food industry you had better take it very seriously!
Bottom line… this location needs to be inspected by the board of health. They need to throw away their spoiled meat and NOT continue to serve it! AND they need to whip out a vacuum and some bleach every now and again so customers don’t feel like they are eating their food in a public toilet.

Running from the roaches. Saw 2 in same day. Little ones so there’s plenty elsewhere. Great drinks. Used to eat here often but no more.

Slow service and the place wasn’t even full. My chips were stale, beans were dried, rice was plain. The one in Enfield, CT is amazing and was expecting the same. What a let down. And there were bugs. Eww. Go somewhere else!

Drinks were on weak side. Chips were stale. Salsa was good. Food was excellent. Willing to give another shot.

Just here for a quick desert. I always find my way here for food and then the fried ice cream. Just the fried ice cream tonight. As always — the best.
Fajitas are great too

Fried ice-​cream was amazing as always! Must be my 3^rd or 4^th time here and this food never fails to make my belly smile.

Got takeout from here last night and I was in food heaven. SO FREAKING GOOD. My fiancé had the seafood burrito and I had the street tacos. Yum! The churros were to die for.

The chicken with rice was very good. I love that they added mush runs with the rice. Also, there was a hint or red bell pepper. The chicken was sliced to make it easier to eat. The local is clean and in good order.
The chips and salsa are goo too.

Went here tonight. We wanted to sit at the bar but it was small and completely full. We had to sit at a table to have a couple beers. Got the cheese dip because we felt like we needed to order something to sit at a table. It was OK but not the experience we were looking for.

Great! Salsa and guac is tasty and they put my tacos on lettuce cups instead of tortillas which was awesome.

The food was good, the service was awful. Took forever to get out appetizers and dinner meals. There was only what seemed like two servers in the dining area and one was also running the bar. If you want a semi quick meal, don’t come here!

I have been here several times. I lived in LA for 14 years and longed for Mexican that wasn’t nasty. It was really the closest thing to authentic Mexican food. It isn’t expensive. It isn’t higher end. It is great food, great margaritas. The Cadillac is my favorite. I also love the Chicken Suizas. My Husband loves the beef burritos because it’s is big as the plate. I love the chips and salsa. It is home made. It’s a fun atmosphere for family, a group of friends or a date night. I love them. Service is decent. Always go back.

We started with the nachos supreme with steak. They were one of the best nachos we’ve ever had.
We then had steak fajitas and a combo plate. My wife was a little unhappy with the chimmichangas, they were not crispy like we are used to. Everything was soggy.
The fajitas were good, the steak was very tasty.
Most times I go to a Mexican restaurant i leave still hungry. I was completely full by the time I left.
