Sorry Baris epic fail tonight. My one star was for service with should be no stars because we didn’t get any. My husband and I were seated and waited 10 minutes and ended up leaving. No one ever came by to wait on us while we watched the waiters in a group talking amongst themselves. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. If we asked for service it would’ve been crappy. Gave Zoes Kitchen our business tonight.

Excellent food at great prices. Homemade sauces compliment the giant homemade yeast rolls. So many delicious items on the menu it was hard to choose. Lunch special of the pasta trio included full portions of all 3 pastas, salad and rolls for $ 6.50. Shrimp parmigiana for $ 12 had 10 shrimp. Highly recommend and will return.

This place is really good. It reminds me of Italian Garden from Lubbock but honestly… IG is better. I got the lasagna and my friend got the chicken Alfredo. We both enjoyed our meals and I could eat the garlic bread alllllll day. I also got the chicken parm(I had two kids meals) and I really enjoyed that. I really love me some chicken parm! It’s awesome because it’s BYOB. If you’re ever in Waco, this is the only place for some good Italian.

We took our food to-go. It was one of only a few places in Waco a vegetarian can eat. I ended up getting the spinach lasagna and a Baris salad. They were tasty and filling. The lasagna was more noodles and cheese than spinach but at least it was vegetarian. My husband got the chicken piccata. He said it was good as well.

One of the best Italian places I’ve been to! I recently visited Waco and used Unilocal to find recommended places to eat since I’m not from the area. This place did not disappoint! I ordered a margarita pizza and the waitress talked me into trying one of their famous pasta dishes as well — I’m so glad she did, because it was delicious! The place was totally packed, so parking was difficult, but the food was phenomenal and the staff made me feel right at home. HIGHLY recommend this place!

I. LOVE. ROXANNE. Our server Roxanne was such a doll! She got us seated and eating in no time. I also believe the owner of Baris is from Italy or at least is Italian. The join is a bit divey, but charming in its own way. All the placemats are maps of Italy. Food is dirt cheap! Get a heaping pile of pasta for under $ 7. We ordered the rolls — ORDERTHEROLLS! They’re fluffy, garlic salty goodness! You won’t regret it, and they’re just around $ 3. We got the wonder white pizza, which is topped with ricotta and spinach. My only regret is that I didn’t order their most popular dish-the tortellini in cream sauce. Go to Baris. Bring your family. Spend less than $ 30. And ask for Roxy. She’s a doll.

I ordered the Chicken Marsala and my sister had the Chicken Parm. The Marsala was ok but the chicken was tough. My sister enjoyed the Chicken Parm. And both of us loved the fresh pasta. They serve generous portions with bread included in most entrees. The bread when served was so hot steam was rising from the surface.

Absolute best Italian restaurant in Waco. Love the spaghetti, it is delicious and always cooked perfectly. The garlic rolls are really good. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food at half the price of places like Olive Garden give this place a shot it is totally worth it.

Seriously, my boyfriend and I go here at least once every two weeks. We’re addicts. The pink sauce is absolutely amazing and I can’t get enough of the manicotti, but the Aristocrat is delicious as well. So many thumbs up, this place is the best.

LOVE! Wow wow wow this is my favorite restaurant in Waco hands down. Authentic Italian food and large portions to satisfy you and leave you wanting more. The Florentine pasta is amazing and the complimentary bread is heavenly for mopping up all of the sauce. This is the kind of restaurant where you probably won’t finish all of your food either because the portions are so big or because you want to leave room for tiramisu. And if you do have leftovers, you’re going to want to get every bit of sauce off the plate to take home with ya.

When you want old-fashioned Italian-American with lots of food for little money, this is the place. Friendly staff, big portions, over-the-top bread basket(think cinnamon bun dough rolls but covered with herbs instead of sweet stuff). Rich red sauce, lots of cheese. Comfort food. The lunch specials are a great value, 11am-3pm weekdays.

Really good Italian food. Some of the best in the area. Will easily beat chain Italian places in price and taste. The place and parking is small so it’s best to come when it’s not busy but even then, worth the wait.

Have been here more times than I can even count, and absolutely love it(both take out and dine in)! The food is consistently delicious and the service is friendly and prompt. The complimentary bread they serve is warm, soft and perfect for eating with their awesome sauces. My favorite dish is the tortellini with pink sauce — the serving is large, and what I take home heats up in the oven very well. Have also tried and enjoyed the spinach lasagna, eggplant parmesan, cheese pizza(my favorite pizza in town over ALL others), and fried cheese(served with a delectable marinara). I’m a vegetarian, and am so thankful for all of the vegetarian options! The only thing I’ve ordered and not enjoyed are the fried mushrooms — I didn’t like the batter, and people I’ve gone with haven’t liked how thin the alfredo sauce is(but I haven’t tried it yet). The prices are awesome! The parking lot is awful and awkwardly set up. During prime busy times, they do get quite full. I don’t mind that stuff though because it’s so delicious, and the to go service is quick. Will be back again and again!

Great Place Walked in greeted with a smile and staff was friendly. Ordered the Lasagna Special which included a salad and two home made rolls. Salad was just a basic house salad but the house dressing was very good. The hot rolls were to die for and the Lasagna was a large portion and came hot to the table. A good mix of noddles, cheese, meat and sauce. Seems simple but so many places can’t get the mix down and this place did! The sauce was sweet and noddles were cooked perfectly loved the meal and its was $ 7.95 with Tea!!! DEAL O THEDAYBABY!!! Next time down here I’ll for sure stop by again

I was amazed at this place. The place looks like an old Pizza Hut, but it definitely had a good local feel. Our waiter did a great job of explaining things and keeping the water filled. Pink sauce — red sauce and alfredo sauce mixed together — to some, this is the marriage of what a lot of people want — creamy and sweet. The pasta was softer than al dente, but it was firm enough to be «speared» So here’s the deal — if someone gets a marinara or tomato sauce, you know if it’s good if you wait. .. wait for what? What for it to settle and see if there is a horrible layer of oil that rises. Not for this place. The garlic rolls dipped in the tomato sauce was a great appetizer. Our other 4 dishes came out quickly afterwards. Which it should — any good place has sauces that have been cooked for hours and should be ready. It was just putting things together, and letting the cheese melt when you put it all in the oven to a nice golden brown. Dee’s Special is like a large baked ziti — plenty of meat in it. I got the Diavolo — it wasn’t that spicy. Watch out because there is a lot of chicken — maybe 1.5 lbs.

Food-wise, I’d say nothing super special, but my first dining experience here was exceptional! Shout out to my waitress(don’t know her name). The place is hole in the wall like, very cozy feeling, with cute ladies with deep smoky voices. ;) First off, let’s talk about food. The prices are unbeatable here! Being able to get fresh Italian food for potentially under $ 6 bucks?! WHAT. Unless you want to go fancy and go on the«Special» side of the menu. We got the pasta sampler, a great option for indecisive people which had a small portion of manicotti, cannelloni, and lasagna all baked in one small baking dish. No complaints! We also were fortunately enough to try the calamari. The portion is huge with a giant bowl of marinara! Very crispy and lightly battered, would definitely order again! Now on to why I’m giving this place 4 stars. When we came in, the place was pretty crowded but was quickly seated. It took them maybe 10 minutes to finally take our order after giving us our drinks, but we didn’t mind at all. After placing our orders, we were busy chatting away that I didn’t realize how much time had come by before we got our food. I did finally notice the restaurant was almost empty and that most of the people around us left already before our waitress came by our table and told us the kitchen lost our ticket and so they’re JUST finally making our food. We were offered free appetizer, hence the calamari, and were finally served our food. At the end when we were wrapping up our to-go’s, the waitress came by with to-go bags for our containers with free garlic bread in them! It was so nice! I did realize we were there for over an hour so we waited at least 45 minutes for our food. I guess all of the bonus service we got is viewed as mandatory for some, but the fact that we were treated in this manner when no complaints or rude attitude from us were ever expressed(we didn’t really notice or care about the slow service), I thought it was exceptionally wonderful for the waitress to take care of us like that! And the fact that the free appetizer cost more than our dish we separately ordered, wow.
