Always great ice cream and the staff is very friendly. The dinning/seating area is small and unable to accommodate many family especially families with multiple children but still great ice cream and the place is well kept as it has always been clean and tidy when I have gone in. The downside is(as fruitchicken W) stated there is not a public bathroom and that is a negative in my book. Don’t let the lack of bathroom keep your from its wonderful ice cream though.

Okay, I’m born and raised in NYC, which is 99999x more cosmo than Waco, and even in the city that never sleeps, ice cream places are NOT open til 10pm on weekdays unless they’re in Times Square. In all seriousness, I love the ice cream. I’m downing a Belgian Waffle Sundae as I type this. However, no public bathroom in a public restaurant is a major no-no to me. When I asked for one on behalf of someone with a medical condition that required immediate bathroom access, I was told they had«their» bathroom and we weren’t allowed to use it. Additionally, almost every time I order a «to go» order, they forget my napkins and spoons. This is not an issue when I’m heading home, but when my mom was dying of cancer, one of the only foods she could handle in the hospital was ice cream… so no napkins and spoons at 10 o’clock at night in the hospital was a bit of a problem.

Don’t try to get them to make you a «chocolate blast» even though the manager was nice and said they could do it. She made me one. I tried again today and just ask them to leave out the mocha and the guy wanted me to just get a shake instead. They are NOT accommodating in ANY way. I will not go there again no matter how hot I am. No consideration at all!!!

Giving a restaurant a one star because they aren’t open when you want them to be is unfair. It’s ice cream, it’s good. They have been there forever so I’m sure research dictates their hours. They have good deals on certain nights.

I keep going back for their mango or strawberry fruit blasts, they’re delicious, small ones are about $ 5 though… And, yes, 10pm is really late for an ice cream place to be open in Central Texas or anywhere, really, I’ve lived in San Francisco and Chicago and would still be surprised if an ice cream only place was open until 10pm every day, I think later on the weekends.

The person who wrote this review above about Baskin Robbins being closed at 10pm obviously doesn’t know Waco. 10pm is late for a business to be open ANYWHERE in Central Texas. The only thing open past 10pm on a weekend is common grounds [coffee] or georges [bar]. The Baskin Robbins in Waco has had excellent service every time I have been there. Their ‘tax crunch’ is the best flavor. Go on Tuesday night for $ 1 scoop night!
