Bellhops

At first I thought this was a pretty great business model for a small move: you rent the truck, and you hire a couple college guys supplied by this company to help move stuff. They even have a small insurance policy to cover any damage. The two guys I hired were very polite and efficient, if not terribly careful with the furniture. One of them dropped an old wooden table that I’ve had since childhood, shattering and cracking several parts of the legs. The table was unsalvageable. I was promptly contacted by their customer service, assured they would pay for the cost of the table (I estimate about $ 300) and asked to fill out a claim form. I stated that the table was an antique and attached pictures of the damage. About five minutes after sending it in I reviewed this email:
«Thanks for reaching out to us with these photos and claim form. Unfortunately, I see that you listed the item as an „antique bedside table“ and Bellhops does not issue coverage for any item deemed as an antique. Since you deemed this item an antique we are not able to provide any reimbursement for this and you claim is now closed with us.
I apologize for any frustration with this.»
I bet they do.
Don’t do business with these people.

I had such a great experience using bellhops! I needed to move from a house into a storage unit and they guys that helped me were friendly, kind, and hard workers. I will definitely recommend Bellhops to friends and use them again myself in the future. An awesome business!

Used bellhops this weekend to help my daughter move into a 3^rd floor apartment. In less than one hour, the two guys had the moving truck completely unloaded and in the correct rooms! Polite, efficient and well worth the $$$$. Definitely will use the service again. Highly recommended! Remember though you have to pack your stuff and provide the truck. Bellhops only provides the labor to load or unload!

I moved into my first apartment in Waco for my sophomore year at Baylor. My bellhops were Ehiedu and Coho. They were incredibly nice and friendly even after a bump in the road caused us to have to move the time back an hour. They were fast, efficient, and got done before we originally planned. I’m incredibly happy with the service provided, as it made moving into my new home incredibly easy and stress-​free.

I moved from Northern CA to Waco and after a long move and not knowing a lot of people here to sucker into helping me I had four Bellhops come to my place and help me empty out two 6′ x 7′ x 8′ containers! They were incredibly efficient and even though I brought a dolly they really didn’t need it! I budgeted 2 hours of their time and they were done in 40 minutes flat. I’d highly suggest their help to anyone needed help unloading a cube, pod, van, etc!
You can tip in cash or via their website, which you have the option to do when you confirm their time worked. Incredibly streamlined and easy!

These guys were punctual, quick, very careful and very upbeat. My Bellhops were Tony and Jay (Janesh). Great guys! This company is a great idea that has been well executed. I like that the company requires you to confirm the amount of time worked by the movers, and you can tip via the website versus cash. If I were moving again in the near future, I would totally use Bellhops again!

My Bellhops, Nathan and Travis, were both excellent. They were both very efficient workers and had a great attitude. Nathan called me the day of the move to confirm the time, and when I asked to push it back by 1.5 hours, it wasn’t an issue at all. I appreciated their flexibility. When they arrived at my new apartment, I already had a moving truck full of stuff. They helped unload everything and carried it up to a third floor apartment, and when that was done, they went back to my old apartment and loaded and unloaded the truck again. They did all of that in 2 hours! Plus, they were really careful with all of my furniture and belongings.
My online experience with Bellhops was also great. Their website is very user-​friendly. When I was browsing for information, I received an email from customer service offering me a discount. I had some questions for them and they were very responsive and helpful.

Be advised that you are required to have your own moving van or truck. This company provides the manpower. So, be prepared to have a van or truck when you schedule them.
