Overpriced, burnt food, and dry chicken. If I was a local, I would never come here. Maybe I’m spoiled being from California, but this place has bad food that cost more than it’s worth. Passing through town and now I’m happy I’m leaving.

Get the gyro plate over rice! Get it get it get it! Plenty of food and delicious. For my sides, I got hummus(comes with pita chips or pita bread; I got the chips) and Lebanese salad. My BF got the falafel patties as one of his sides and those were great too. My sister got the grape leaves as one of her sides and it has an acquired taste — a little sour — but she liked it. Their customer service is also great. They are friendly and kindly gave us extra rice without charge! You shouldn’t expect this though because they do charge extra for rice. Maybe it’s because we bought a lot and also tipped pretty generously.(You pay/tip when you order your food at the counter.) Definitely recommend this place!!!

Great food. Stopped here while in Waco for business away from the mall area but an excellent light meal tasty and fresh prepared. If any downside it was the styrofoam cups and plates but service was good I will visit again when in the area.

Ridiculously good food!!! I’ve tasted and enjoyed some really good Mediterranean food in some much larger cities, but Dee’s ranks amongst the best. Their pita chips places them in a class that ranks 2nd to none!!!

Mediocre. Overpriced. Not terrible. Sketchy neighborhood. Slow to get food even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Served on styrofoam plates. Friendly staff. Baba ghanouj was tasty. Grilled chicken wrap was good. Gyros meat was decent.

One star is being generous. The women at the front counter had a terrible attitude. Not polite. Not engaging. Not welcoming. Maybe she forgot the customer is what pays the business’s bills. What’s worse, it took over thirty minutes to get our food and we were the only customers there! When it came, it was not worth the wait. My pita was anything but traditional. Rather than pita bread, it was in a tortilla type bread. My salad had tortilla chips on top. I love tortilla chips, but not on a Greek salad. I am at a loss as to how this place got such positive reviews. Really. Save yourself some time, money and sour looks from the cashier — go elsewhere.

I ordered the special for the day which included a Greek salad plus two prices of grilled chicken on a bed of amazingly seasoned rice. The food came out fresh and it was obvious that the owners take pride in the food they deliver. It is a little pricey for what you get, but the family-friendly, hole-in-the-wall ambiance is certainly felt. I plan to visit again to see what their lamb gyros tombout!

I search for Mediterranean food on my travels. This place had good food but nothing great. The main issue was the service. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and hummus. It took over 30 min for my order to come out. For a salad?! Seems as if this is typical from the other reviews. Unfortunately the food was not good enough to negate the poor service. Carry out is the way to go!

Dee’s Mediterranean is an excellent place for lunch or dinner, the food is great the atmosphere is good and the service is friendly. I come here often and would recommend it to anybody who enjoys good Mediterranean food. I usually get the gyro plate with stuffed grape leaves, outstanding! Their chicken is good also. Everything is reasonably priced and very tasty, five stars!

D’s has been one of my top favorites during my past four years in Waco. The hummus and pita chips are some of the best, along with a gyro. Don’t think twice. Try it.

Let’s start by saying it looks live a dive .but it is a diamond in the rough. Food was very tasty we had the gyros with fries and a drink. Very fresh and very reasonably priced. Everything is counter service and then brought out to you, we waited maybe ten minutes if that and got our food quickly. Place was clean and was definitely a favorite for the locals.

Yum! We are from the Pacific Northwest and we were looking for fresh, non-greasy food with an ethnic flare. D’s is delicious, fresh and tastes homemade. Casual dining, quick service, generous portions for dinner.

I’m not sure why everybody else loves this place but we did not have a good experience here. The lady at the front counter never got off the phone to engage with us to take our order. The guy who is cooking the food is actually the one who ended up bringing it out. Having grown up in Chicago, I went to Greektown numerous times and ate Greek several times a month. This food is marginal. I’m also not quite certain how they pass their health inspections, I thought the place was dirty.

Food and service was excellent. We ate the humus, falafel, chicken and gyro salads. All very good. Saw a table order the kabobs and they looked even better.

This was a great little hidden gem. Fresh, healthy, authentic. Their vent seemed to be out of order which caused the room to feel a little smokey, but at least you know your food is cooked to order. The Lebanese salad and Baba Ganoush were amazing!

D’s is by far my favorite restaurant in Waco! I have never had a dish here that I haven’t loved. My favorite are the gyros, either as a sandwich or over rice. They are tender, juicy and so flavorful! The spices are just right. The Mediterranean sides are all great, especially the spanakopita, the dolmas, falafel and the hummus. The dinner salads are huge and delicious as well. My mother is not big on foreign food, but loves D’s for their chicken fried steak and fried chicken. It is a truly family run place, owned and operated by a lovely Lebanese couple. They are always welcoming and kind. All dishes are freshly prepared, so they take time. Some people complain about the wait, but I love the unrushed pace at D’s. Great food like this is worth the wait!

Looks like a complete dive, so was I ever surprised by how good the food was! Hummus, seasoned pita chips, fried green beans, falafel, gyro & baklava. The hummus was OK, not enough seasoning and not made in house. The pita chips were amazing! Seriously, dont miss those! Falafel was very good, one of the best falafel sandwiches Ive ever had. Gyro was really good too. The balakava was good, but not made in house. 3 of us ate lunch for about $ 30. Will return when in Waco again.

Best Mediterranean food in Waco, hands down. The food is freshly made and you get huge portions. Yes, it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The hummus is delicious and the pita is fluffy but my favorite is the pita chips covered in olive oil and spices. The chicken wrap is a good option if you don’t want to pay a lot for lunch and their fries are awesome. The beef kabob is expensive but it is prime tenderloin beef and is amazing. The staff isn’t the most friendly and it takes a while to get your food but it is worth it. You won’t find much better food in Waco than D’s.

I’ve seen the prices here climb over the past few years, and you would really expect a little more atmosphere for the price of the food– a lamb or beef kabob plate on a styrofoam plate will set you back $ 14.99. While the food is really good, I gave it four stars since I don’t know if the cost matches the atmosphere(again, none) and food portion, which is simple and fresh nonetheless. Middle Eastern sides are phenomenal here. I love the span with spinach, feta, and puff pastry, which they bake to order. All salads are delicious as is the hummus. I love grape leaves, and they weren’t very good this last time. I couldn’t tell you if the fried chicken and Southern sides are good. I think they provide a good option for picky kids… Let me reiterate that this place takes a long time to prepare your food once you order it. I would personally call in for a to-go order and drive to Cameron Park to go eat it on a nice day.
