We recently had Home Place Interiors install vinyl plank flooring throughout our entire home. From the beginning my wife and I were very impressed with John Proctor’s professionalism. Our installation experience was excellent. The two installers were very personable and extremely competent. I would recommend Home Place Interiors to any family or friends.

I have worked with John Proctor for over 15 years and have recommended his business several times. After having Home Place put the flooring in our new office space, I used another cheaper place for an additional room later on. That carpet installation was horrible and the quality was subpar. We now call Home Place only. I was very hesitant when John recommended vinyl plank for our office hallways last year but have loved them so much we had him put the flooring in our entire house except the bedrooms. The installers are the best and professional — leaving my house put back together and the floors cleaned up. I also shopped all over for an area rug and was able to buy a very nice piece of carpet that they bound. The price for the carpet, binding and pad was less than what I would have paid for boring area rug. I am sorry that previous reviews were not good. I have been happy with this business for many years.

When I came to Home Place Interiors I did so thinking I was going to have a quality experience and flooring product installed in my home. I specifically stated that my husband and I did not want flooring that looked like long rubber strips. John came to our home and brought lovely hard bound — grooved timber style flooring samples and we agreed on one. The samples that were presented to me were not the product I saw being used and already 2/​3rds installed by noon on Monday, January 25, 2011. I immediately called John indicating that this was not the product we had discussed and that a laminent was exactly what my husband and I did not want. He stated that «people get them mixed up all the time» and that «with dogs in my house this is the product he thinks I should have.»
I can only say that we are extremely disappointed with the product as it is something we could have picked up ourselves at Lowe’s or Sam’s and laid over a weekend and at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention that there is a mound at the rear entry door where the floor was floated over the existing tile, and areas of lift throughout the room that I was told by one of your installers would settle once the materials acclimated themselves to my environment.
In coming to a professional interior design and installation service I had certainly expected more, but instead have come away from this experience extremely disappointed. We have learned to live with the floor for now and are in the process of trying to decide how to get rid of it and what we should do next. This certainly is not what we intended when we sought your services as we thought we were buying an improvement to our home, but instead we have a daily reminder of what we didn’t want.
