Probably a great place, was looking forward to trying the appetizers with wine for my wife. Has an extensive list of beers to go with wines but both beers I asked for were out of stock. I asked waiter to recommend a wheat beer or heifiweizen beer and he left table to see what was in stock and came back recommending an Ale. With a smile I said«you don’t have a wheat or hefiwiezen» and he walked away. I had to tell him while his back was to me that a water would be fine. He came back with a glass of water but no ice… He was very busy with other customers. We drank a glass of wine and left, never trying the great sounding appetizers. I’m sure your experience will be better as it seemed like a nice place.

I discovered The Grape several weeks ago and have returned 4 times since then. I am likely to go there tonight. The wine selection is excellent and Michelle at the bar is great at making recommendations. So far I had the hamburger, crab cakes, and sausage plate. The hamburger was perhaps the best I have ever tasted and I have tasted lots of burgers. Crab cakes are one of my favorite dishes and I rarely get them unless I am in the DC/Chesapeake Bay area. To find them as delicious as this in a land-locked city is highly unusual. These crab cakes are also among the best I have ever tasted. The sausage plate was good although a little spicy for me. I highly recommend The Grape.

Excellent service, spectacular wines and a new menu every day with chef prepared meals, appetizers and desserts. I think these people will need more room soon!

Very friendly bartenders. This is a small cozy atmosphere with outdoor patio. It’s in a plaza with all kinds of shops. Wine selection is ok. I didn’t see much red or white that I haven’t seen elsewhere. The pours are those 6 oz pours for $ 7 – 15. I personally think the prices are a little too high. They also have some domestic beers and italian beers. If you are a craft beer person like me, you won’t like their beer selection. The food menu changes daily and they do post it on their website. I haven’t eaten anything there yet but they do have burger nights on Thursdays. Recommend for small groups or as a date night then on to somewhere else

A hidden gem of a wine bar. Have been there several times and always had an enjoyable time with great wine and food. Service was good and staff was friendly.

New ownership has greatly improved the Grape. Atmosphere has been given a nice facelift and the food offerings look very enticing, although we haven’t sampled them as of yet. The wine selection is reasonable and the staff, which has always been very approachable, makes for a very pleasant experience.

Great vibe and feel. Nice selection of wines, offered by a friendly and knowledgeable(but not snooty) staff. Exceptional food and generally some great live entertainment. Only improvement would be to make it larger. But, of course, that’s easier said than done. Stop by, it’s Grape!

Went last night and was very disappointed. Saturday night and no music. The menu was a soup, chips and quest, cheese platter and 2 sandwiches. We went expecting to eat a full meal. Service was not so great either. We left after an appetizer and went to eat at a full service restaurant. After reading a review that glowed about thus place in the Waco paper, I will not take their recommendations again. Won’t be back.

Very warm, friendly service as soon as we walked in the bar. Inviting, casual atmosphere and super comfy patio. The Crispy Fried Artichokes will change your life! Good wine list, reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back

I’ve been sitting at the bar for 20 minutes and not a word has been said to me by the bartender. I’m walking out. This is unacceptable for any restaurant. This would of been my first time, but I’ll never make this mistake again.

Half price bottles on Saturday from 5 – 8 pm and some great appetizers(flatbreads and queso, especially) make this place a great happy hour spot. I like that it’s nice and quiet – no need to shout over loud guests or music and the staff will re-cork any bottle you don’t finish so that you can take it home.

If you sit at the bar, you can get mediocre service. If you sit at a table, you’re probably SOL. Trying to get a glass of water to accompany your wine(even at the bar) is a seemingly insurmountable task at this«establishment.»

This place was a good little find in Waco. I ordered the chicken salad trio and the mushroom bruschetta. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious! And of the chicken salads, the curry was by far the best. I took off stars for the long time it took to get the food out and because the woman working was not very friendly.

Small, intimate place for wine tasting. The food here is good. I do not like their seating choice as all tables are patio tables, even inside. Heavy metal chairs and glass top tables do not mix well with bottles/glasses of wine. A corner area does have couches, which is where I prefer to sit. The décor inside is dated. A few changes with furniture and décor could really polish this place. The patio is small and allows smoking. They do have live music outside on some nights, which adds to the ambiance. They also have great bottle price specials!

I assumed this place was going to be a wine bar. Their wine list is laughable at best. I’m not claiming to be a sommelier, but it was seriously lacking. Everything about the place was cheap. The prices, the deocor, and even the food. I fully expected to see velveeta on their cheese list… but there was no cheese list.
