Ward Liquors

Good selection, moderate prices, trashy clientele.

I moved to North Waco for cheap rent. But I stay here in part because of the proximity to some of the best Waco establishements. My favorite of them all is Ward Liquor.
To get right to the point, you will not find cheaper spirits in Waco. The only thing that comes close is Discorte’s Tuesday and Wednesday discounts. If you look closely, you’ll find some fantastic deals. Citadelle gin, one of the finest available, has been remarkably underpriced for nearly a year now. Blanton’s is also surprisingly cheap.
The second, and I think equally important, advantage to Ward’s is the helpfullness of the staff. The same people are always there, eager to help. They quickly become familiar faces and always recognize their frequent customers.
The only disadvantage to this store is a lack of selection and/​or inventory. Although I am able to find most every brand, it’s occasionally difficult to find variety of sizes of certain brands. Their liquer and mixer section is also limited. Even so, they fit an amazing amount of variety in this small store.
I highly recommend Ward Liquor. It’s worth the drive even if you don’t live in North Waco.
