First… We have had multiple insurance and billing issues with them. We acutely overpaid them upwards of 1000 dollars because they have no idea how insurance works. On top of it they dropped our insurance 1 year after we started going there. We had some work done and where charged in excess of 900 dollars because we had no idea of them opting out. Granted it is our responsibility to check but I have been to office where they notify you buy mail and try to keep your business. Four warm bodies out the door to find another dentist. Yes the office is nice and the dentist is nice but I wish they had a better picture of the way they do business as not to hamper someone who already has insurance. Doing the right thing and paying for dental insurance didn’t work out for the «good guys» this time!

Oh where to begin. Let’s say you have a billing issue… your options are to leave a message and wait «24» hours for them to get back to you… it’s more likely to be 48 hours. Insurance billing and speaking with the Billing/​Office Manager is and exercise in futility… if she had a thought in her head it would die of loneliness. Multiple times I informed them of insurance inaccuracies but they went about their business not resubmitting the claims correctly. Then three months later (after I assumed insurance had paid) I got a collection letter. I’ve actually stopped by the office 4 times to speak to the Office Manager to find out why the claim wasn’t paid and it turns out they had NEVER corrected the insurance for my son (which was emailed and faxed) to them months prior. Then the remaining balance was because they were billing my dental work per tooth as opposed to quadrant (thereby netting them $ 302 out of my pocket as opposed to the $ 120 I was estimated to owe prior to sitting in the chair). When I casually informed the Office Manager (who has a degree in public relations) I would be seeking a new dentist she casually said, «OK». Prior to moving here from Illinois I had substantial dental work done and periodontal work done so I’m not new to the world of dental care. Along with myself I brought my son and my fiancé into his practice and the only customer service response I get when I say we will be finding a new dentist is «OK». No attempt to clarify the billing error. No apology for months of billing incorrectly… just «OK» The office is beautiful and the dentist is nice but the rest of the customer service is atrocious and disgraceful. I’m not sure that the dentist is even aware of how this facet of his office is run but personally speaking and from someone who works with INSURANCE and in the healthcare field he should be embarrassed and appalled at this. They are so flush with patients they are willing to disregard 3 (myself, my son and fiancé) over a billing error that is their fault to begin with… talk about shortsighted thinking.
