Lube Stop

Installed Unilocal app just to give this review. I’m not your usual Unilocaler, but I am a certified motorcycle technician through Honda and Kawasaki motorcycles. I currently am the father of a 3 year old and twin boy and girl 9 week olds.
I’ve always done all of my own service work on my vehicles, but limited time and without a warm place in this winter I decided to go to lube stop in wadsworth oh. It was supposed to be a simple oil change in and out in 20 min. Well 45 min later and the workers beating underneath my car. The manager came to me and said they just couldn’t get the plastic panel that covers the front quarter of the undercarriage of my car back on. they said it was useless and unnecessary to be on my vehicle. (Those German engineers don’t know notin) after they put the plastic panel of my car inside I was pushed out the door.
No refund or money was given. So I left with 50 less dollars and a project to climb under car in my snowy driveway to install useless plastic panel myself. Well they stripped the two fasteners and 2 were missing. So being our only means of transportation my fiancé had to pick up our kids from her grandma’s near cleveland.
One hour later she called me and said the car smelled like it was on fire and wouldn’t go over 20 mph. I told her to slowly take her and the kids back to her grandma’s and I would try and find a ride to pick them up. Her uncle showed up with diagnostic tools. Long story short 2 plastic bags went up into undercarriage of car one melted on exhaust the other blocking the vents for the gas tank so the car wasn’t running right.
That useless panel would have stopped this from happening and causing my family to fear the car had caught on fire and to breathe in plastic grocery bag fumes. The car still smells of burning plastic bags.
Lesson learned just keep doing it yourself it would’ve been faster and safer.
Lube stop you are not an expert oil change your not even a mediocre oil change.

Great service station that knows what they are doing but try to sell you things and then note it on your service record in your account for the next time, whenever you decline.
Case in point, I’ve been here a handful of times, (and have also done some preventive maintenance myself), and they’ve changed my oil. All the while the person is changing your oil, they pull other parts out of the car (air filter, etc) and ask that you get them replaced, even if they’ve been replaced somewhere else. When I told them I got the part fixed before, they asked «where» in an almost confronting manner, as if they never believed it was done. Some of the service was done by them only months prior, and they acted as if they couldn’t find it within their computers. Shouldn’t be that hard, if whenever I decline their service that they offer me besides the oil change, they remind me the next time that I declined them the last time. I argued with the last serviceman the last time I took my jeep in for a good 15 minutes about transmission flushes.
Stick to your guns while going here. If all you need is an oil+filter change, tell them that when you go there. Tell them that you are not interested in anything else, or that you do other maintenance measures yourself. Oil changes don’t cost much, but when the salesy pitch is pulled out, you may end up spending an upwards of 300 $ on something you don’t really need!

Shouldn’t have to wait 40 mins to get a damn e-​check — this place and the state of Ohio got a good scam going. So I should have to wait forever for an e-​check while you guys try to sell a clean air filter and check tires and hazard lights? Why not a line specifically for e-​check so we don’t have to sit around and waste the morning? It makes sense to sit here idling to save the environment. What a joke and scam

Good place to get service done on your car. Been here before a few times and always get quick efficient service done. Oil always changed properly and some other things i do to maintain my car. I’ve even brought them used oil and coolant before, they take it without charge.
But as with most of these places they also try salesman pitches every time, I politely decline things that don’t need to be done. So as long as you know it’s been done recently or it’s not an issue just don’t let them sweet talk you into unnecessary maintenance.
In all the service is always done right and in a fair amount of time, but trying to sell things all the time can get annoying, but hey I’ll definitely keep coming back, I recommend if your in the Wadsworth area.
