Summerfield Studios

If I could give this company no stars at all, I would do so. We have tried several times to resolve issues, with no response. A complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau.
Our parish contracted with Summerfield Studios (My Church Family Album) last spring, to do a pictorial directory. Contracting was easy; the litany of problems since then has been extensive.
– They originally scheduled only few weekday evening sessions, a woefully inadequate amount of time for a church our size.
– After scheduling additional sessions, the photographer simply didn’t show for the only weekend date.
–Those who missed their appointment because of the no show, were offered a reschedule, but no additional times were set up; they were simply double booked.
– The second set of photographers who came were woefully unprofessional: sloppily dressed and reeking of cigarette smoke. They were wholly unfocused on their work, tending to spend time chatting, eating and drinking, and wandering off at frequent intervals, even though there were people waiting.
–They got so far behind schedule that a number of people either needed to leave without being photographed, or were not able to look at their proofs before leaving.
–Several families never received their photographs.
–At least one receipt, which included the full credit card information, was sent to the wrong household.
–The company rarely answers their phones, and has failed to return many, many phone messages and emails.
