Let me start by saying I Love Home Depot. The staff is way better than Lowes. And the selection is much better than Lowes. THEREASONFOR1STARIS: The Door and Window section. I bought a new interior door and a new storm door. This is where it all starts. Interior door was in stock. They told me they had to order the storm door. Well over a week went by without hearing so I stopped in. The guy(who was great) said: are these doors going together? YESTHEYARE. Well there’s 2 different sizes listed here? 1st mistake! He fixed the order and 2 weeks later they were ready to install. Interior door gets installed and I get a call from the installers. Did you order a brown storm door? NO I DIDNOT! It should be white. So he didn’t install it, Thank baby Jesus. BACKTOTHEHOMEDEPOTWEGO! After a ½ an hour they tell me I was Over charged and the door I need is in stock!!! 3 weeks of waiting for nothing. Alright I tell my wife everything’s good now. I get home the day of the storm door install and it looks GREAT! Then, I look at the screen insert. WHYDO I HAVE A BROWNSCREENINSERTFOR A WHITEDOOR!!! Call the Home Depot and they basically tell me there’s no way I have a brown screen insert for a white door. He said someone will call me. 1 week later No Call. So I call again. Finally I get ahold of a woman who says bring it back and we’ll switch it. 1 month after ordering I have a beautiful new front door and storm door.

I went in to look at refrigerators and the first guy who asked if he could help went and told an appliance clerk who then came to help. When I described what I wanted – a bottom freezer, full door(not french door), with water/ice in the door – he said«oh, you want white». What!!! So a third guy came and I repeated what I wanted. After walking the first aisle with him, along with my 86 yr old mom who was wheeling an oxygen machine, I stopped when I realized he had no idea if they had what I was seeking. He finally noticed I wasn’t with him, and I told him I couldn’t walk every aisle with my mom like that, and asked him if he knew if they had what I wanted or not. He said no, that’s why he was looking. I could have done that myself. I got«assisted» by Dumb and Dumber, I guess. Wasted my time and my poor mom’s energy. Like the previous reviewer said, this store’s employees need some more customer service training.

They seem to always have the items I need, but most of the staff needs some lessons in customer service. I have found some employees that have been very helpful, but many that really don’t care to help us that much. The prices are good especially when you shop and compare.
