My experience is pretty much the same as the same as the other reviews posted here. I might add that the owner(Paul) appeared to be a nice guy although it is clear that only the need to make money drives this operation. Excepts for the cook, NONE of the staff even took the time to say hello or asked if we needed anything. Clearly didn’t look like they wanted to be working there. But that isn’t the worst problem. There is some serious integrity issues practiced by the skinning staff(not the female skinner) at my recent stay in the area of weighing the pigs. I witnessed one of the skinners take a pigs off the jeep that came directly from the field, hoist it up with the scale and lower it before the scale needle even stopped racking back and forth. When asked how much the pig weighed just 30 second after lowering it, he stated«I didn’t see but«I wrote it on the board» at which time he went to a dry erase board with client numbers on it and gave a weight of «160 pounds». First of all, the pigs came off the jeep right at that moment and had not been weighed by him nor anyone else. So why would he(they) lie about the weight? To boost the bragging right of the hunters? NO! It is because the ranch charges a dressing/skinning fee which is solely based off weight! You have been warned! And by the way, as few other thing I found out only after I arrived at the ranch. Bring your own towel to shower because they don’t provide one, the«private cabins» do not have private bathroom facilities and the feed you have to pay $ 30 per bag for is only used to feed all of the exotics on the ranch because we did not have a single pig come to the bait.

I just completed a hog hunt here and am a very dissatisfied customer. First some things they don’t tell you, you have to pay a 299.00 for the stay. Next you have to pay 100.00 for a guide fee, but all they do is put you in blinds scattered throughout the small property. They claim a 6 mile walk but it’s only if you walk back and forth several times. They also charge you 30.00 for feed(which you can buy in town for 8.00 per bag) that I never saw a hog even touch but all the exotics and other animals eat the feed. They claim a 3 day 2 night stay. Your first day you arrive at 3pm get the orientation, then they place you in a blind which you stay at till 945pm, then you go back to the same blind the next morning and sit till 9 am then they let you walk either the north side or south side which we did see hogs. Then after dinner you go back to sitting in blinds to 9:45pm. Next morning you sit in blinds until 845am then you pay .65 cents a pound for any hogs you got even after we could show an email that came from the ranch boss that told us it was .55 cents a pound but he said that was a typo and would not honor the price. They also charge extra for what they call the honey holes which is the best spot of the whole ranch to sit and watch the roads but you are reliant on the hogs to move for now reason. Next the hogs are not wild they a kept in a pin at the front of the property and the ranch staff releases a few to the property every so often. They also have a website .

Spent 3 days here in late January 2015 on a hog hunt. Extremely disappointed. Accommodations were lousy. Food was mediocre at best. I had genuine safety concerns as there were at least 20 other hunters on the ranch(100 acres?) and alcohol was permitted on the property. They collected a «staff gratuity» prior to check-out and both my friend and myself tipped more than the recommended $ 50 per person(the staff did hustle during our time there and I was happy to reward them). When we went to collect our harvested game from their cooler, they couldn’t find a 200lb hog. The attendant said this happens a lot and offered us meat that other hunters were donating to a local food bank. The«Ranch Boss» refused to refund our processing fee and the already paid tip. This place is all about $$$$ and could care little about providing a safe or memorable experience.
