Food was reasonably priced and tasty. It was served in large quantities which was a nice surprise since we were starving. The macadamia nut pancakes were delicious. The coconut syrup was a nice addition to them. Coffee was good. Lots of locals which is always a good sign.

I’ll admit I miss the Dairy Queen, which was located here for 50 years before they built Koa Pancake House. I’ve been here off and on throughout the years, but I rarely eat here. It’s usually crowded when I pass by or closed. So far I’ve tried a few things, their Clubhouse Sandwich and their pancakes, which are usually good. Their prices are pretty decent too, compared to other breakfast places. This time, I tried their Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes(short stack) and a side of fried rice. The older cashier lady, I don’t remember her name, but I remember her from the days when Dairy Queen was open. She was very nice, patient, and a great help. She suggested that I have the strawberries on the side since we taking out our food. The food came quickly and was hot. The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were very good and the strawberries were nice and not overly sweet! The short stack portion has a lot of food and there are only 3 pancakes. You could probably feed 3 people with the full order. Then again, I’m not a really big eater. The fried rice was actually had flavor and pieces of meat. Some places I’ve gone to, it’s been bland and no flavor whatsoever. Koa Pancake House is a good place if you want to have some breakfast, as long as you’re beating the breakfast crowd. It’s not Cinnamon’s or Moke’s, but it works when there doesn’t seem to be very many places to eat a decent breakfast in Wahiawa. Overall, I’d come here again for their Clubhouse sandwich and to try their other breakfast items.

Went right on time before it started getting busy. I did have a good experience yesterday morning on Koa Pancake House. They were kind enough to make my husband his favorite BBQ Chicken before 8 am. He ordered the BBQ Chicken with Mac salad and white rice. He really enjoyed his food. I ordered the corned beef hash loco moco which I have to say was a good amount that I had to take the rest home. I also ordered me the banana pancakes which were pretty big. Although I got full fast, I also enjoyed my food. On my next visit I would love to try the breakfast burrito it looks delicious.

Should have had the pancakes. The Benedict sauce did not look right. Tasted ok but looked like it was about to curdle. The place is too cramped… crowded tables and the entry way has no space. They really need to redesign this place. Menu on the wall is obstructed if you are 6ft tall. I will gladly give them tips if they ask. As it is I am not going back. The staff is friendly.

Always crowded, small in nature and services the local wahiawa community as well as the nearby military at Schofield. Food– constantly ordered dishes: 1) egged Benedict with rice(hollandaise sauce on the rice) — this is pretty huge for the price and sauce is good. We don’t like the potatoes. 2) corned beef hash — great 3) fried rice– my daughter likes it, simple. I think it has no taste– so 50⁄50. 4) pancakes– nice and soft, good portion for price Overall– will continue to eat here and would recommend

Bleh* wasn’t feeling it. My friend and I decided to give it a try. I am not into fast food eating, and this was fast food breakfast. Not for me. The omelet was undercooked, and the homestyle potatoes were dried out. The coffee was bitter, and they didn’t have actual half n half. The portions were huge, yet the quality lacked. I also found the customer service to be lacking. Then again, what do you expect for fast food and at breakfast time? I am sorry Koa Pancake House, I won’t be coming back.

Great local spot offering a variety of breakfast selections. The pancakes are a pretty big portion, a short stack includes 3 pancakes and the big stack has 5 pancakes. It can get pretty heavy and they offer red velvet, chocolate chip, macadamia nut, etc. There’s coconut syrup on the side for you to try as well. They also offer crepes, eggs Benedict, and omelette. These are large portions, so come hungry or share your plate. Very reasonable prices!

Woman at cash register always pleasant, food is good. My son wanted pancakes. Great place for breakfast without paying an arm and a leg. Convenient to those in the Wahiawa, Schofield and other areas in vicinity.

Great place to have breakfast in Wahiawa. They’re open until 2pm. The older lady cashier is always so nice, friendly, & patient!(We usually like to try new plates whenever we come) The younger girl there is total opposite with no personality. Sad! Thought it might just be one bad day, but I’ve noticed it every time we come. Usually when someone says«thank you» you say«you’re welcome» but she just says«mhm». Besides that, service is usually okay. Food wise I’ve always been happy with what I order. The restaurant is rather large and the times I come, it’s hardly busy so that means less wait time! :)

This place is perfect for breakfast, lunch and everything in between(brunch)! I have ate here at all those times during the day throughout the years. I love coming here for their pancakes, especially the chocolate chip pancakes! Because there are loads of chocolate chips in there, you could eat it as is without condiments. If you are craving for chocolate, then this is for you! Other items I had were their strawberry Belgian waffle, strawberry crepes and cheeseburger with toss salad. From what I remember, everything I had was delicious but the crepes were okay; not that sweet but more on the bitter side. With that said need to come back and try the other items as well! My boyfriend and I went there recently for brunch. When we go out to eat, we make it a point to order a different item from the menu so that way we get to try out the other items. We both shared the Kona Omelet with Home Fried Potatoes and Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes(full stack). We ended up sharing The Kona Omelet was tasty, as it had chunks of Portuguese Sausage. The Home Fried Potatoes were okay, nothing unique. The Strawberry Cheesecake was decent; the cheesecake was spread on top of the pancakes with strawberries. We ate all of the pancakes with the cheesecake and ended up using maple syrup and butter. The cheesecake spread is sweet on its own, you needn’t any syrup. Wish they had more of that cheesecake spread though! Parking gets super busy in the mid-morning, so you might want to get there early. Fast and prompt service. Affordable prices with decent portions. Lots of choices(decisions, decisions).

Very good choice for breakfast & brunch. I love their fried rice because it has big enough pieces of ham and spam that I am able to pick it out lol. Their menu can be a bit overwhelming but it just gives you another chance to come back and try something new. I highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time, that way you are able to take it out or just eat it there. The only thing is that if you have a phone order you have to stand in the same line with people that are just ordering their food. But on the bright side, you won’t have to wait as long for your food! It would be much more convenient if they expanded on this location. It can get pretty busy during peak hours of the day.

Because we live in Wahiawa, this is a great place to have breakfast or brunch! It’s on California Ave, just a few blocks from Kamehameha High Way! The only problem with this location is the parking situation. It has a few parking stalls around the establishment, but if the parking runs out, your forced to find street parking. The staff is ways friendly here, even when you have idiot customers who take 20 minutes to order and just stand in front of the cashier looking at the menu. The food is local and decently priced. The portions aren’t over whelming, but enough to get you through till your next meal. This place is family friendly, but seating is at a first come first serve. Usually me and my husband will come and sit against the window because the tables that are available set more than just us… with that being said, I wish more people were considerate as patrons/customers of the establishment. Here’s another tip: if your undecided, step to the side so that others can order what they want and get through the line quicker! Don’t be a douche bag and stand in line holding up the line because you’re undecided! Great place to get great breakfast food and menu options are a lot to choose from!!!

It’s been over a year since we last ate here and I decided to give it another shot. It’s really close to where my husband works and he wanted us to come up during a bit of off time he had for brunch. I thought, ok, I’ve only been once. That could have been an off day or staff could have changed since I was last there… but really, I should have gone to one of the coffee shops or into Mililani. I ordered the eggs Benedict with potatoes. My husband got some buttermilk pancakes and my kids got the chocolate chip pancakes. The only pro to this meal was there were a LOT of chocolate chips in the pancakes which got the kids excited. My husband complained his pancakes had a metallic taste. He doesn’t tend to complain like I do, so it must’ve been awful for him to say anything and then later throw them away without finishing them. My eggs were cooked through. So I returned them because I wanted runny eggs because otherwise what am I eating? Eggs Benedict = Runny eggs. Eggs overcook sometimes, not a big deal — but they acted surprised at my request like it was weird to want eggs Benedict with runny eggs. They replaced my eggs. But it did not save the meal since the ham was like leather and the hollandaise sauce was oily and looked like it had been sitting around for a couple of days. The potatoes had 0 seasoning. No salt, no pepper, nothing. Just plain potatoes. I couldn’t eat it. We left without finishing our meals. This is rare for me because I don’t like wasting food, but if I had tried to eat that greasy mess I’d have been sick for days.

I usually really like Koa’s, but I am VERY disappointed with my breakfast! I’m actually angry. I understand it can get busy, but that doesn’t mean you compromise on your food! I ordered Eggs Benedict and my egg was completely cooked all the way through. It wasn’t even slightly runny, it was completely cooked through. Very disappointed because I was treated to breakfast today and I felt that person lost good money. Never ordering this again. Total and epic FAIL!

Before I begin, this establishment should put their nutritional facts on My Fitness Pal for the IIFYM and people who monitor their intake Definitely a must go. The banana macadamia nut pancakes were UNREAL! The veggie egg white omelet was really enjoyable. The toast was super buttered, but I just wiped some off, and will ask for it on the side next time. I don’t care for red velvet, so the pancakes were alright to me. They were so thick! I don’t know that they are best paired with syrup, but hey, I ate them anyways. The egg white ham/mush/cheddar omelet was really good I was told by Beans, and he has lost mad weight since last year– and he didn’t get fat eating gross food, so yeah his opinion is LEGIT. The coffee was okay, not as good as the rest, but that’s not what they’re known for. The vibe was like a fast food restaurant, but the food had local taste. That made me feel comfortable, not rushed and friendly.
