Holly gave a wonderful 40-minute tour of the soap factory which included free smells and a goodie gift bag. This is an old sugar mill with memorabilia enclosed in cases with relics of a bygone era.

I love to give great reviews about a business that is all there for its customers. And all on purpose. This is a GREAT little soap shop. Full of a huge assortment of oils, soaps, lotions, and art work. We met Amber, and she gave us a little history about the place. No wonder they are successful at what they do. And the soaps, well, they smell divine. And the candles too.

I love North Shore Soap Factory ! It is my go to– for gifts and I often buy it, even for myself — I love the cuteness factor of the shop — and the unique location of the shop –in an old sugar mill silo — the staff is always friendly and helpful… They often have given me a free sample ! They sell other North Shore products too — which I really appreciate — art, and other products ! It is so pretty to see all the beautiful soaps displayed and smells yummy ! Waialua is lucky to have such a nice business in it’s community ! My last comment — they have been kind enough to donate annually to our Oceanfest with product for raffle and silent auction ! They support the community when ever they can ! This is not the case with all local businesses !

Although their products may be attractive, the staff is RUDE. Hawaiians are usually very nice people, but the staff here must have missed the memo. No concept of costumer service, especially considering they staff a tourist gift shop. From my observations, I’m not alone in this experience either. Everyone who walks into this store gets ignored. TRYTHEOTHERSOAPFACTORIESONTHEISLAND. They have much friendlier staff. I would rather give my business elsewhere

This place is great. From the atmosphere to the soaps everything is excellent! I really like how they make their products right there in house. The staff was very friendly and knowledge about the products.

Definitely worth a stop. Great products, cool building. Owner was very friendly and gave off a laid-back North Shore vibe… I left feeling relaxed just talking to him for a few minutes.

Smells amazing when you walk in and they are very pleasant. It was neat to see the shop making process! Love it!

Really cute place, there is such a wide variety of soaps, lotions, lip balms and sprays. The soap stamping station was fun and a great way to personalize the purchase but overall the place was a little touristy. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze so if it’s crowded get ready to be shoulder to shoulder with some strangers and fight over the samples. Otherwise, cute place and I love the soaps that I got!

This place is amazing! Great product and amazing customer service. I had trouble checking in yesterday and she gave me my free bar anyways!!! But I’m checking in today and leaving a great review a must when visiting Hawaii!!! This is my 5th time on the island and I regret not finding this place until now! I will be a customer for life… Mahalo!

This is an authentic way to bring home something you created right on the North Shore. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s definitely original. There are tons of fragrances to choose from, the staff is helpful, and you can see the entire soap creating process through the glass walls.

So much soap! And you can use a mallet to stamp a design of your choice right into the bars of soap you buy. The kids had a blast doing that. They make the soap right there and the walls are just lined with every kind of soap you could possibly want. After you select your soap and purchaser it, you walk out to the middle entrance area, grab a stamp and a mallet and pound a design into your soap. They have all kinds of stamps to choose from, all very Hawaii. They have a number of other gifts inside other than the stamp/it-yourself bars. The employees are very patient(especially since we had four kids hyped on sugar from the sugar mill shave ice four doors down) and they were very friendly. My boys are obsessed with using their special stamped soap in the bath. Very cool place. I recommend it.

Enjoyed viewing staff making soap through the large glass windows from the showroom; interesting. There are many different scents of soaps like pineapple and coconut, chocolate mint, etc. Fun to smell all the different offerings and choose the ones I like the best! The rainbow glycerin soap is very pretty and has a combined fruit smell that is quite happy and inviting. There are also soaps shaped like flowers, honu, rubber duckies, etc., for the keiki. Also like the wood soap holders, which you can also buy in cedar wood; good to have something practical that the soap can drain and dry on! Worth a stop in the Waialua Sugar Mill complex!

Great soap, but if you have allergies like I do, be prepared for an assault. Once you step in, you’re inundated with millions of soap smells at once. My allergies didn’t let me stay in long, eyes watering, sneezing, all that fun stuff. Lots of great options to choose from though. My wife went back a second time, once she was out of there and could actually smell the soap.

Awesome soaps and for a decent price. The store was tight especially when a bus full of Japanese tourists were dropped off and they flooded the place. It was much more enjoyable in there with not so many people. The scent when you walk in is a little over powering and it is difficult to smell the individual soaps. I bought 3 bars of soap and my husband and I each got a Christmas soap for checking into Unilocal … yay :) After you purchase the soap, you can go hand stamp your soap for free, kind of a cool feature. When I venture back up to the North Shore, I will stop by and get more soap and hope no bus will stop there.

I’ve found this place at the old sugar mill on the north shore of Oahu. To get there, Take Kamehameha Hwy(Hwy 99) to Haleiwa. Take a left at the traffic light to the round about & go to the 2nd «exit» at the stop sign. Take Waialua Beach road for 1 mile, turning LEFT on Goodale just past Waialua Elementary school. Take a right at Kealohanui St(no street sign), at the stop sign under the big Mango Tree on the corner. The North Shore Soap Factory is in the big cone shaped building, the 1st building as you come through the gate. This is a museum and a gift shop. Sure, they have soaps, though there is so much more. I bought some jams(inside the shop in the back on the left). Explore the old… very old sugar mill photos and the journal from the old sugar mill days. It’s fun and worth the 10 minute drive. There is a gas station about 1⁄10 of a mile away with a mini shop featuring fresh fruit and veggies along with the staples you come to expect from a 7 – 11 or Aloha station. If you found this review of use, please select a button below so my wife, myself, and the Soap Factory know you will visit someday soon. I suggest just before a holiday, such as Christmas, so you can get all your shopping done here. Thank you very much, or as we say in Hawaiian: «Mahalo nui loa» ~Joey

Tons of different soaps all made right there. There is a lot of history in this little sugar mill as well and its nice to see them keeping the place running for people to visit. All of the soaps smell great with lots of local flair, plus are really pretty and made with all natural ingredients. Great for presents!

Love this place, it’s nostalgic for me because my grandfather and relatives worked for the sugar plantation… thanks to #northshoresoapfactory for giving back life to this part of the sugar factory. Love the soaps, all natural products used and great service.

Stopped by here, it was a little bundle of surprise. It was soooo amazing. The soap were all colorful and pretty. The lady there told us it was all organic. The lady told us a lot of background and info about the soap. I bought a few. We got some free samples too. Check in on Unilocal and you’ll get a free lip balm! Score! You can also make your own stamp on the soap after. If you’re in the North Shore area, make sure to stop by here.

Second stop on our North Shore adventure day. There wasn’t anything going on at the factory side of things when we went, so we just headed into the little store on the side. The place smells so good and yummy. There were testers for most of the products which was nice. We ended up buying the kukui nut oil– perfect for soothing our sun burnt skin. *Bonus– yay for free Unilocal check in coconut lip balm. It smells so good and I have been using it ever since.

These aren’t just your ordinary bars of soap, and these bars kick the S@#t out of your usual ones on the market IMHO… You can just see the passion and dedication taken in their product from start to finish, and I like the fact that each type of soap has its own distinctive color, scent, and they help promote healthy skin instead of irritate it… tons of bars and other products to choose from, you can mix and match, and even create your own sampler packs. Stop by and help support local businesses like these… you’ll be glad you did… ALOHA!!!
