Nice market overall with a nice selection of items. Deli has been good, poke is great as long as they haven’t run out. People are friendly and helpful. Our go-to store when in Waikoloa, beats driving back to Kona or upcountry.

I love this market. Prices are comparable to other markets and they have a good selection of variety of items. We shopped there every couple of days and had nice meals in our condo. I am happy we found it and will be going there next year when we are in Waikoloa.

We shopped here several times on our weekend trip to the big island. Always fast, friendly service. Decent prices. Good deli(Korean chicken was great!). I’ll be back!

I went there in June 2015 and loved the choices, way worth the drive and prices are reasonable, given the location. I found it to be more reasonable than the other grocery stores and better options. Loved buying fresh fish and making my own dinners.

Waikoloa Village Market is a great market for filling all you grocery needs. Whether you are a local or just visiting from down the road at the resort hotels, this neighborhood market seems great. The people who work here are super friendly. The selection of produce and meats is very good. If you are staying down at the time shares at the Hilton or nearby — GOHERE for the meat, poultry and dairy. Compared to the Island Gourmet Market at Queens Mall, this place is hands down a better value. The meat is much much fresher. The meat at the other place was old and grey and triple the cost. Milk was around $ 4 a gallon vs $ 10 down the hill. They also have a bakery section and even souvineer aisle in case you forgot to grab a tshirt, shot glass or some sunblock. Heck you can even get your boogie board and beach chair here for about 20 bucks. If you need some food to fill the fridge for a week or so head up the hill to Waikoloa Village and head for this market.

This is the best store in the Waikaloa area for getting all the basic groceries for your stay. They have everything you’ll need to stock up your condo or house, then you can supplement with the quick trips to the resort-area stores which have a more limited selection.

Good place to pick up basic groceries and specialty items. Prices are fair, and they have a good selection of items. Also glad that they have a pharmacy.

Waikoloa Village Market has everything I need if I ever forget something when I do my monthly Costco run. This particular time it was in the late afternoon and all the checkouts were at least 3 customers long, as I was trying to scope out the best line I seen the store manager Les coming down from upstairs looking as if he was on his way out the door to go home. He quickly put his personal items down and started ushering customers to a checkout he just had opened. That is how a store manager should treat their customers! His decision to open a line most likely created return customers, 2 thumbs up! I wasn’t quite fast enough to make it into his lane so I ended up checking out with cashier Fran, such a nice employee:) asked me how my day was going and made small talk. I declined a brown bag since they cost .5 cents and I did not have my wallet on me so as I was trying to balance my few items out the door Fran offered a paper bag and said its ok I have loose change from other customers. That is awesome customer service:) I will definitely return :)

If you are staying in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area and plan to stock up your condo for the week — it is worth the 15 min drive upcountry to Waikoloa Village for the market. Great wine selection at good prices and all you would expect from a local grocery store. Good stock of fresh, local & organic greens. Good deli and bakery section too. The fresh poke(ahi & marlin) in the deli make great pupu back at the condo for happy hour. Aloha spirit and helpful employees too. Be sure to take your own bags or be prepared to pay — just a warning if you aren’t used to that practice where you live.

Great market for grabbing things you forgot at home. Or even snacks. My wife and I found this place and we got lots of fruit, chips, bottled water, etc. Very reasonable prices too. They even have a nice area to get fresh poke. Would definitely return back.

Get your sandwiches here! Also they have french toast and other breakfast loco moco items and specials. Perfect place to stop to grab breakfast and lunch items for that day and the next day. Super friendly service too. The guy at the bakery was especially nice.

Best place in Waikoloa to get your groceries. Fresh local produces including organic veggies and island fresh fruits. Fresh local grass fed beef, big island milk, pharmacy, fish poke and more… Try Mountain Apple brand products and support the local economy as only made on the Big Island. Try their poke bowl!

If you are staying at a condo down at Waikoloa or Mauna Lani… bypass the little markets down near the resorts… drive the 15 minutes to this market. It’s totally WORTHIT! Better Selection and Better Prices! (compared to Island Gourmet, aka ABC store and better than the little Foodland near Mauna Lani) They have EVERYTHING and lots more of it… fresh meats, fish, poke, huge produce department, bakery, prepared foods, live fish and lobster, etc… I don’t know why it’s taken us so long to go here. Live and Learn, I suppose.

Great little store in the Waikaloa Village. They have freshly made sandwiches, hot prepared food, beer, wine, and liquor. The prices are very reasonable and if you don’t see the sandwich you want, ask them to make it for you. The staff is very friendly. The pineapple turnovers are full of fruit and delicious!!!

Nice clean grocery store in the middle of the village of Waikoloa. This is where the locals shop but they have everything a tourist could need. Great deli, bakery. fine selection of everything you forgot to pack and lots of local eats. We stayed in the adjacent timeshare for a week. So I was here everyday. Matter of fact I earned Unilocal Duke status at the market during our stay. We always needed something like more booze, suntan lotion, Monster Energy Drinks, junk food or playing cards. Usually more booze.

Like I said before, if you need groceries in the Islands avoid Safeway and hit Foodland or even better a local market like Waikoloa Village Market. The market is in the same mini mall as Island Lava Java. Not only do they have leis for $ 11.95, Hawaiian snacks and poke, they also have Foremost Ice Cream and Roselani Ice Cream from Maui. I haven’t seen Foremost in ages, and I was glad to see the name still exists. In addition, Roselani has some awesome Hawaiian flavors like haupia. The staff is super nice and this market is small enough where it won’t get too crowded. The only reason why I didn’t rate a 5 because the ahi limu(seaweed) poke was not as good as Foodland’s. It had too much limu. If I am going to pay good prices, I expect a fair amount of fish vs seaweed in the poke.

Waikoloa Village Market is very similar to an expensive upscale grocery store in the upper Waikoloa area(about a 15 minute drive from the major resorts by the beach). It’s worth the drive, becasue you can get EVERYTHING here at the store. The store is actually run by KLA(a local grocery chain store), but goes under the name Waikoloa Village Market. This place has every item you can find in a large grocery retailer. They even have a section for tourists, where you can buy Tourist towels, keychains, coffee, candies, and macadamia nut treats. Here’s my highlights of the store: * The Poke Counter: They have 10+ different types of poke(Hawaiian style prepared raw fish). Everything from kim chee style tako(octopus), Hawaiian ahi tuna poke, shoyu(soy sauce) poke, and all kinds of local variations of poke. They even had freshly picked limu wawai ‘iloe(«rat’s finger» seaweed — a special type of seaweed only found in Hawaii). What a TREAT! My favorite part of my experience was talking with the counter help — who was a tatoo’ed local brother who told us about how the poke was made and what he thought would be the favorites! Sorry I didn’t get your name, but you were awesome bro! * The Meat Section: They had a great selection of beef, pork, locally caught fish, etc. There were freshly caugh Ahi tuna fillets on sale. The fish was super fresh and looks like it was caught off the islands the day before! * The Customer Service: WOWZEE!!! Everyone here at the store was super friendly and helpful! During my shopping experience, two managers were walking the floors and asked if we needed help. Two clerks stocking the shelves stopped their work to see if we needed anything. The tattoo’d Poke man was super friendly and helped out tons. The cashier and guy checking us out were super friendly and quick. Don’t forget to check out the dessert section — you can find specialty items such as Haupia(coconut pudding/jello), jello creamcheese cake, and all kinds of cake with local decorations, such as Leis. *** My only(minor) negative thing about the store was the hot food section. We got two pieces of fried chicken drumsticks(the size of wingettes, $ 1.60 each) and two breasts(the size smaller than a thigh, $ 2.00 each) and they tasted like they were sitting there the entire day(which they probably were). We also got a side order of the spaghetti. When we got back to the hotel room, we opened up the container and it had a sour smell like it was going rancid. It was probably rancid because it was sitting there the entire day. They should check the food to see if it is still edible at the end of the day(5:00 p.m.). Waikoloa Village Market will now be my go-to place to get groceries everytime I’m in town! Prices *are* a bit on the higher side, but that is what you can expect from a grocery store in Kona.
