So… We went back for the next Rua pop up. The good: — the lechon roll — oxtail katsu ramen — presentation of the shrimp tempura roll The not so good: — the truffle parmesan fries. So oily and soggy we couldn’t eat it. Told the waitress, she took it away(full plate), we still paid for it. — pastele stew roll. The stew was cold, tasty, but weird that it was cold. — kobe beef sliders. We waited over one hour for these, saw every other table get theirs. Asked the waitresses, never came. Was the only thing the boyfriend ordered(he doesn’t eat sushi). Finally told them to cancel after an hour and ten minutes, they brought our bill, no apologies.nothing. Left pretty upset(and hungry)…hate that. I understand it’s a new trial for Rua, but the service was pretty bad and the wait times loooong. Tried our hardest to be patient, but did work this time. Hope they can work the kinks out because they got good food.

Just happen upon this place for lunch after a Dr.‘s visit and on my way to work. I ordered the tempura Mahi special with two side orders for $ 10.00 and it was delicious. So much so I had to write a review. They are only open on W-TH-F for lunch as their main focus is on the catering part of their business. Dinner menu looks awesome, which I will have to try on my Friday night date nights with my hubby.
