Great library! Excellent for kids! Weekly story time as well as kids movie day. My son loves to go and look for books in their large selection. Very inviting and helpful staff!

I have always wanted to stop in here and check this place out and I finally got to. Wailuku has some beautiful historic buildings and this is definitely one of them. The outside grounds are well kept and clean. The parking situation looks like it could be a little tight at certain times of the day but it wasn’t bad when I was here at 4:00 on a Thursday. Stepping inside, I felt like I was walking back into my 3rd grade library. The smell of books was in the air and happy smiling librarians were ready to assist. I was searching for a specific book and they were so happy to help. She looked it up, helped me to find the area only to see that the book wasn’t there. She said«No worries. We’ll find it» and headed back to the desk. A few moments later, she came back with the book and said that it had recently been turned in-but she found it. There are computers for patrons to use, a large magazine section and lots and lots of books. Everything is clean and it’s bright and organized. This is a great spot to score some reads.

Wonderful Historic Building decent selection of Books and Magazines, I go there to catch up on my New Yorker and Auto Magazine reading. Special Mention to the Security Guard who is a professional and enjoys his job and make everyone’s visits great. Also they just put in a bike rack so bike parking is a much improved experience.(I gong to take some photos of the building soon it really a gem.)

This library was not open on a Saturday, which I found perplexing. That’s all I have to say.

The Wailuku Library may be smaller than the Kahului Branch, but its historic building makes up for that. They’ll get you any book you need in the state’s library system and an added bonus is the library’s subscription to , which allows you do borrow e-books for free.
