YUMYUM has re-opened with a whole new local menu and a new cook. Everything I’ve eaten or tasted was great. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous. I love their delivery service.

Looks like the business was sold and then closed. Signs still there and phone number works, but never an answer, no matter what time I try! We actually will miss this place, as they redeemed themselves slightly after the fried rice fiasco! The owner at the time began doing the cooking again, and it began tasting good again. Too bad! At least we were able to try it before they left us for good…:-(

I REALLY love their beef stew! Super good. Only other plate I tried was the garlic shrimp and wasn’t really a fan scared to try anything else so whenever I go back again I’ll just stick to the beef stew! The portions are pretty good as well.

Tried this place on high recommendation from fellow friends and co-workers. They have a restaurant in the Wailuku Industrial Park but we took advantage of their free delivery, not sure of the distance they deliver to, but I’d assume its within the central Maui area only. FOOD: Chopped steak — Steak, onions, fresh mushrooms, white & brown rice mixture and scoop of mac salad. Besides the steak & onions swimming in a pool of oil, the meat was very tender and full of flavor. A bit on the sweet side but not too sweet that I’d hate it. Onions were on the caramelized side but that was perfect for me. Does not taste like your traditional chopped steak but more on the lines of a hekka(shoyu/sugar/mirin mixture.) The rice was cooked nicely, though I’d prefer plain white rice. The mac salad was FULL of carrots, which turned me off at first but they were shaved so fine that I couldn’t even detect a hint of carrot flavor, which was awesome. Portion was very generous. SERVICE: Ordering over the phone was quick and simple. Very professional and friendly. It did take about 1.25 hours from call time to delivery, so plan accordingly. OVERALL: Great prices and portion size, excellent flavor. Definitely going to try other items on the menu.

The food tasted okay, however the service was horrible. There was only two tabletops occupied, us and another party of two. It took 1 hour for us to get our food and there was no apology for the long wait or no excuse. My husband had the combo plate for $ 12 which came with 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop of Mac, 1 slice of Kalbi which had more bone then anything, 1 small piece of BBQ chicken, and meat jun the size of my palm. If he didn’t eat half of my plate he would have get something else to eat. For $ 12 he better be full. On top of that, anyone who works in the food industry knows to always bring out the parties food at the same time. My husbands was served 10 mins before I was.

Yeah, what Sean said lol. I’ve only ordered the spicy bbq pork with the green salad(they only have thousand island dressing). I thought it was pretty tasty. Awesome sauce and flavor. The kimchi here is pretty acidic, just a warning. Perfect moist rice. I would suggest they put a dash more salt on the mac salad(then it’d be perfect!) The décor is very simple and clean, nothin’ fancy schmancy. The Korean lady, Suk(Sook), is very friendly and beautiful! Great local price. I wish they extended their hours, 6pm is just too early. I get off work around that time! *tear* Hopefully one day I’ll be able to try more of their dishes! Suk! You better extend your hours! LOL

Yum Yum BBQ is a Korean restaurant serving local, BBQ, and Korean plate lunch type food at affordable prices in this day and age. They open from breakfast 7am till dinner 6 pm. I’ve never been there for breakfast however I’ve been there for lunch and dinner. . The usual plate lunches range from $ 7.20 to about $ 9.00. In the usual plate lunch you get 2 scoops of rice, macaroni salad, your meat item, and a choice of mandoo, tofu salad, green salad, Kim chi, and on certain days a Korean noodle dish(I don’t remember what it was called) If eating in the restaurant you also get a free can of soda, juice or water. To me for the price the portions were generous. You can even make combo plates(two item plates) for only $ 8.64. The hamburger steak has that flame broiled taste and the meat jun cuts like butter. If you are going there for the first time I would suggest the Korean spicy chicken or the Korean sweet sour chicken. I liked both of the items when I ordered them in a combo once. The spicy chicken is not spicy at all though. It is served with a thick batter and fried, then coated with a sweet Korean sauce.
