AMAZING. HANDSDOWNTHEBESTCORALJEWELRYSTOREINTHEWORLD! This is my first review for a retail store, exemplifying how precious it is. I am a coral enthusiast and never have I seen such a broad selection of rare Hawaiian coral. I have come across similar lighter red variants of coral in Mexico, but not the natural dark red color at Hawaiian Coral Factory. This is the real deal. Few people know how rare true red«king» coral is. The notable blood red coral is no longer harvestable in Hawaii and can only be found in Hawaii and some parts of Asia(where the prices are at least ten to twenty fold). Which explains why the Japanese travelers and other Southeast Asians just seem to get how much of a bargain the products are here. Upon asking the sales representative how it is that this store has so much of this precious coral that is no longer available, she informed me that the inventory was acquired prior to the enactment of modern day coral harvesting laws in Hawaii. She further explained that the coral jewelries are irreplaceable. Once the coral jewelry is sold, that’s it. If you want a genuine memorable piece of Hawaii for yourself to remember for life — not just some gimmicky macadamia nuts — this is it.

The shop embodies much of the quaint and charming local town in which it resides. The service is great and offers a wider selection of Hawaiian jewelry than any of its competitors at a much more competitive price. The manager was very negotiable and willing to spend the time and attention to help me find the perfect gifts for my friends and family!

A truly pleasurable shopping experience! Aside from the immaculate store, the selection and quality of beautiful jewelry — especially the rare coral jewelry — is what really set this place apart from others I’ve visited. I’ve been here several times now and the sales people have been very helpful. They took their time with me and showed me piece after piece until I found that perfect treasure to bring home with me. Highly highly recommend to anyone.

This store is one of a few remaining stores that craft hawaiian coral products. For those in the know about the value of coral jewelry, this place is a must to visit. Prices are well below better recognized competitors and multiples below fine jewelers in Asia.

Awesome jewelry store! Very friendly staff that helps you find what you want at a price that you want. They have Hawaiian style jewelry and one of the few that carry rare coral. Almost no one has it anymore, at least legally as you can’t harvest it. Have been here plenty of times to grab my GF or mom something for a special occasion. Definitely worth a stop to take a look at what they have.

I don’t tend to write many, if any, reviews for retailers as I like to emphasize on my foodie interests. Also, I don’t wanna disclose my serious shopaholic affliction lol. However, I wanted to make an exception for Hawaiian Coral Factory. Why? Because I’m perplexed with the mixed responses they’ve seemed to have received and wanted to get some honesty out there. I was on my Unilocal homepage when I noticed another Unilocaler post a recent, favorable review, but the store still held such a mediocre rating… Anyway, here’s my two cents. Firstly, what Hawaiian Coral Factory is all about is quality, and that fact brilliantly shines. From their elaborate showcases to the excellent customer service, I dare you to find a source for higher quality authentic Hawaiian coral. These aren’t your bargain variety trinkets you can find all around Waikiki. And although I can’t say coral is my cup of tea, I know many people, family and friends included, that adore coral jewelry and decorative pieces. In fact, I’ve had family fly in from Korea and Japan that have raved about the jewelry they’ve purchased here, not only because they look better than everything they’ve purchased elsewhere, but more importantly because the prices are SOOOOOOOO much cheaper than what they can find back home. We’re talking 100’s of percent cheaper than back home. Putting it another way, those times I’ve sent something from here as a gift has given me all kinds of good karma and promises of getting treated to amazingness the next time I’m in Korea or Japan. Add that wow factor to the bi, and in some cases trilingual, abilities of some of the staff here, and it’s obvious the experience my relatives have received here is truly incomparable. Speaking candidly, I think some of the earlier reviews are a bit subjective/borderline biased. Don’t get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I’m not that conceited to believe my opinion is better or more fair than theirs. However, whether it’s the store being partnered with certain tour bus companies making it kinda predetermined stop along their route, or maybe it’s due to coral not being held in the same regard as other jewelry, I think Hawaiian Coral Factory(in past reviews) was getting a bad rap. Do yourself a favor and make your own opinion. I think that’s what Unilocal should truly inspire you to do. Go out and see for yourself! I’ve only had very positive experiences here, and I’d probably give them 5 stars if coral was my thing(and I admit my own subjectiveness here since I’m docking them a star just because as I already mentioned I’m not a big coral fan… but at least I can admit it lol). But if coral is YOUR thing, I can’t recommend Hawaiian Coral Factory enough.

locally owned and operated for over 40 years. best place to find the largest selection of rare Hawaiian coral in the islands. I like that the store charges no tax on all items so the price I saw was the price I got. There were many Japanese customers who said that the prices are at least 10x more in Asia

I agree with the others that tour bus companies use this place as a bathroom break stop. They also serve courtesy cups of coffee here. The tour bus driver whose tour I was on did actually say that the Coral Factory is nice enough to offer hospitality and their restrooms to travelers & suggested we passengers buy something as a sign of thanks. Since I do appreciate a timely stop for relief, I tried very hard to look for something to buy. The prices are high although there was some pretty jewelry. I was not sure it was actually«coral.» Try as I might to open up my wallet, I just did not see anything I urgently had to buy. But I still give the Coral Factory 3 UnilocalSTARS for a friendly bathroom and free cup of coffee. It is in a strip mall with some other interesting stores so maybe go check those out while on potty break.

Creepy, overpriced, very little coral here. Same tourist junk you can get at a much cuter, friendlier and cheaper store. Not worth laying on the brakes!
