On website it doesn’t show any details of the classes,(no certain age group, days, times) it’s blank it should show a message: please contact us for pricing or any other inquiries. Called the # it went straight to voicemail. It was someone’s cell I believe. But if you’re running a business, a Voicemail regarding your business and being professional to let potential students attend would be great. It’s not hard… «you have reached… we are unable to take your call… Etc etc»

My son just went to his first BJJ class. Instructor was very welcoming and the students couldn’t have been nicer. My son loved it so much he wanted to join right away. Great atmosphere for training.

Professor Rexie is an awesome instructor, coach, and competitor. Those are the three things I look for in a Martial Arts academy. His curriculum blends old school Jiujitsu with modern competition techniques thus creating well rounded students. I’ve seen normal, new, untrained students become athletes within 6 months time. He always answers questions before and after class without hesitation. He also reaches out to you and gives constant tips for improvements. The biggest evidence of proof is the keiki/kids class. Those kids are amazing, always competing and winning. At tournaments, whether local or international, he’ll coach every single student he can, if there are two matches at the same time, he ensures one of the fighters has a qualified coach. He observes every student at class and tries to help them perfect techniques and strategy as soon as he can. Professor is an active competitor. He flies to the mainland 2 or more times a year to compete. He doesn’t boast about the medals he has won, but he does reach the podium. Many coaches don’t compete and coach the same day because of the energy loss, however Rex does. There are other Black Belts such as Professor Ronnie, who is an inspiration. He is a very skilled, and technical instructor who rolls with everyone despite being a senior and a lightweight. There is a lot of mat space, often I’ll see 30 students or more at the night class. They get plenty of visitors. I’ve met Braulio Estima, Lucas Lepri, Bruno Malfacine, Gabriel Goulart. Many other black belts have stopped by to visit. The only CON I have is that daytime parking sucks because of the activity of the location. Plenty of forklifts, trailers, and traffic. The solution is come early and park alongside the curb or street. Night Class doesn’t have as much as a problem with parking.

I’m going to review this as a first timer in BJJ training. I haven’t visited other schools to compare so keep that in mind. BJJ training; you’ve seen the moves in MMA, names like BJ Penn and Royce Gracie ring more than just a distant bell in your brain, you’re a fan but maybe you have a voice in your head telling you«I’m not a bad ass, I can’t do this». Well that’s how I felt for about two years when a good friend of mine tried to introduce me to the art. I wish I listened, I was missing out and I really regret it now. What to expect the first time you visit the academy? Expect to be welcomed as a family member, and I’m not just saying that. The professor and the students will welcome you and make you feel right at home, regardless if you know anything or everything about the art. The professor is extremely experienced with nearly 25 years practicing the art, there’s not many outside of Brazil with that kind of BJJ experience. I can tell he loves to teach and after every training session, I go home knowing something new, and not to mention a great feeling of accomplishment. The class schedule is very flexible, with weekday morning classes, evening classes(including no-gi on Tuesday evenings) and keiki classes. Go give it a visit and see for yourself, it might be one of the best decisions of your life.
