Friends are I came here since they were hungry and I was craving for phở. Since it was my treat and there were three of us, I decided to order a large order of the combination phở. Little did I know that the large would be so gigantic! Great portions and great customer service! 5 stars

Pretty good phở! Probably the best in Waipahu! Springs rolls were kinda small and calamari was definitely previously frozen ;(Excellent service and good prices will get me to come back.

My family and I frequent here whenever we get that phở’ craving and I’d say hands down it is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Waipahu. Good service from that one cute server, and awesome phở’ that always comes out quick. I recommend the iced coffee & combination bowl, large or medium, depending if your debating desert. Cheers!

I’ve been to the other Phở places in Waipahu and this place is the best one for Phở. Their prices and good and the soup base is the best that I’ve had so far. The spring rolls are good too but not the best. That would come from a different phở place in Waipahu. The Older lady can come off as a little rude but I think that’s just because she’s «old school» BUT that’s not a reason to not want to check this place out. The parking kinda sucks due to all the other shops in the area but that can go for a lot of other places. This is my go-to place for phở!

Their phở here is yummy!!! I ordered their vermicelli noodles with a side of spring rolls which was awesome! Their portion sizes with their prices make it worth to come here!

Not bad! We decided to try a different phở place in waipahu other than phở bistro. I definitely like this place better than the other place for these points. For one, the place was definitely cleaner, although it is really cold in there so I would bring a jacket. The food was delish! I ordered an order of summer rolls, which was freshly made and a good size, not too small. it had a good noodle to veggie ratio. I also ordered a medium #9 which is the phở with beef ball and rare steak on the side. The broth has a good aroma and very flavorable, the only con I would have about the phở is they put way too much noodles. I would prefer a more balanced noodle to broth. The noodles was soaking up the broth too fast. For the food, I would give them 3 stars. The food came pretty fast and the waitress was very attentive to refilling our drink. I give the remaining star for that. Overall, I would definitely come visit this place again, so if your hungry and your looking for a cheap lunch or dinner, come try this place, they have a lot to offer.

In all honesty this was my first phở experience so I have nothing to compare it to. I’m not saying its ABSOLUTLEY horrible but lets just say that the only reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the iced water…(lol) .there was an aroma coming from the phở that I couldn’t place, it was a sweet scent(it wasn’t the extreme amount of basil served on the side). It lacked a solid flavor and the noodles seemed a bit over cooked as was the shrimp. The spring rolls were a bit burnt but tasted decent… I better end it here because it only gets worse.

OMG! The broth the phở is served in is sooo delish! I love all the garnishes. Even though I’m full from eating the phở I still have to drink all the broth. The service is not too personable.(Is that even a word?) Also try the strawberry milkshake but ask for the young girl to make it for you. The chicken katsu is also good. You don’t even need dipping sauce. The prices are very low. Go try it. Go I said!

I wanted to try something new, so I can’t comment on the phở that I didn’t order. The menu consisted of phở, vermicelli, spring rolls/egg rolls, rice plates and then off their specials, they offered the goat and katsu plates. It was a really hot day and the restaurant was just slightly cooled by the air conditioning and fans. I didn’t want to sweat in my work attire, so ordering phở was not going to be a great option. I did however try their lemon grass chicken. The chicken was cut up in strips, stir fried and then broken rice was added to the dish. It’s not authentic Vietnamese food, but I think they do try to have variety. The plate was lightly garnished with two slices of cucumbers and some lettuce. And of course, I had my fish sauce to add flavor to the dish. The prices are fairly decent and average lunch is just under $ 9. The phở either comes in bowl sizes of medium or large. I think the medium was just $ 7+. I came with a vegetarian co worker and the only vegetarian dish was the salad. The dressing was a soy sauce concoction mix to be poured over the mound of lettuce, tofu, and shredded carrots. We walked the strip mall and this restaurant was probably the best bet. #27/365 Unilocal 365 Challenge

When you first walk in, it’s pretty dingy, even though it’s a relatively new establishment. However, if you can get past that and the occasionally rude waitress/cashier, it’s a decent place to eat if you want to find Vietnamese food in the Waipahu area. Likes: They have a good assortment of dishes, from various BBQ meats and spring rolls served with rice or cold noodles, and of course, phở. The broth of the phở isn’t too overpower(good for people like me who just started eating phở) and it comes with a various herbs and sauces to match your preferences. Dislikes: I’d have to say the service is hit and miss. There’s a waitress who will occasionally forget to bring you your drink that you ordered, or will take your order wrong. Also, the cleanliness is questionable. They’ve also raised their prices in the past couple months, so it’s more expensive than average. Favorites: I really like the cold vermicelli with spring rolls and BBQ pork. The spring rolls are crispy and tasty, the BBQ pork is flavorful and not too fatty, and the fish sauce goes well with the dish. After trying their other dishes, I’ve decided that this is my favorite. When I’m in the mood for phở, you can’t go wrong with chicken. This place is good for Vietnamese food, as long as you know what to expect(e.g. dinginess and occasionally rude service). I haven’t tried their competition, Phở Bistro, yet, but that will be my next visit when I have an inkling for Vietnamese food since the waitress the last time I went here was really rude. I’d come back, however, for the BBQ pork/spring roll cold vermicelli.

I don’t think I’ll ever eat here again … Great prices but their phở is not that great :(. They didn’t even have the garlic sauté. It was something else? … The peanut sauce for the sumner rolls was not that great either. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. To me… Never again!!!

This place is not too bad. We can here on a Sunday night and boy it was pretty packed. I think they were understaffed that night. Anyways, the phở here was pretty good. Service here was OK, we saw an old couple walk out before getting their food. But feel free to try this place out. Phở is always good with rainy weather.

It’s located in the westgate center 2 – 4 doors from leeward drive in. I shared a meal of spring rolls and phở with meatballs and sliced steak, my girlfriend had the combo. The broth came out clear! When I eat phở I always pay attention to how clean/clear the broth is. Down the street at phở bistro the broth looks like mud. Any how, the meal was excellent, the owners are friendly, and the place isn’t really busy yet. From start to finish out meal was done in about 30 minutes. I give a 4 only due to not having mint or jalapeño as an addition for my phở. The spring tools are great but lack meat there, the flavor makes up for that. Have a cup of French coffee with condensed milk to wake you up from the sleep attack you get when you eat a full meal. It’s a place I will try again. With things like goat curry and chicken katsu, they offer more choices so you and your guests are bound to find something to eat. If you are in Waipahu and feel like getting some phở. This is where I’d say to go.

4 stars because this place is owned by my bff’s aunt. Nice set up. Roomy and it doesn’t make you feel all squished. I have gotten the seafood phở in which i do enjoy. water is always filled.

Went here cause its close by, and my friend told me about it so we decided to try it today. When we arrived I was afraid we wouldn’t have a seat and would have to wait and I was so hungry already!!! but luckily there was a spot for just the two of us amongst all the people already fully into their meals. When we were seated, i spotted an order of katsu coming out, and it looked really appetizing with all those colorful greens on the side. I don’t think I ever have chicken katsu with a salad on the side… and the idea of it is really appealing to me. The menu was pretty standard for a Vietnamese restaurant. On the wall, though… I saw a poster for goat curry… I wonder if that’s trying to appeal to the locality… I dunno, I haven’t had goat before, and I’m a bit bewildered to try it. Ever heard stories of people eating their pets??? well my friend shared one with me about her uncle… so no thanks… for now I guess my psyche isn’t up to it, but I’m generally not a picky eater. Aside from the assortments, I got phở, cause that’s what we were looking for. my friend got a seafood combo to make up for a very disappointing one she had a while ago, where everything was skimped and over cooked… I still ate her squid and fish balls though that time, haha. Anyway, I ordered the beef combo, with steak cuts, brisket, tripe, and meat balls. I took a medium, which was about ~7 with tax, the large is just a dollar more. I was surprised that everything on the menu was priced similarly. The seafood set wasn’t even more than the other phở. That really surprised me and I gotta give props to that. The bowls were smaller in comparison to other places… but its still so filling. The broth is full and flavorful. I really liked it. The first thing I did when i got it was to sample the broth. Haha, my friend even gave me the rest of her fish ball, so I could compare it to the other place we went to… There was nothing to compare! This place has got it down! The other needs work… Service was friendly… and animated! I like how they were interacting with the other customers, and also, our waters were always filled. more please~! I’d like to come back =]

Came here because I wanted some phở after having some junk phở 2 weeks, and since this place is new I thought Id give it a try. I came with my friend around 1245 and the place was filled, we were lucky to get the last table perfect with 2 seats. They have your usual vietnamese dishes from spring to summer rolls, rice plates of lemon grass chicken and pork chop and even something different like chicken katsu and goat curry. Idk about the goat curry but hey, go for it! haha. Well I wanted phở and thats what I got, the medium seafood combo and my friend got the medium combo beef both for &6.75. The wait was a bit long but since the places was full that was fine. The bowl was fairly small compared to other phở places I’ve tried but it was still full of noodles and came with 4 med pieces of shrimp, 1 fish ball, and 1 slice of imitation crab cut in half. The broth was really tasty and the shrimp and fish ball cooked perfectly. Water was always filled. Overall, i’d definitely come here again!
