Now called family barber. They do cut okay and quick with a vacuum connected to the hair clipper nonetheless, but I don’t like how they’re too strict and vocal when cutting my boy’s hair!

Been driving around waipahu. Usually go to the one behind suzies… no parking. Tried the one front of suzies… does not accept card. Unilocaled all barbers in waipahu and found this one… parking available but tight, took me right in and got a good faded cut. Friendly staff. will look to this place first. Update… Oops the review was for Dakinez Barber Shop located 94 – 670 Farrington Hwy

Getting the nephews hair cut, I guess timing was perfect. Immediately had 1 nephew in the chair.2 more to go. Having a chart with different hair styles is very helpful.

I was desperately looking for another barber shop because the one I took my kids to up the prices by about 50% which was just absurd to me. I saw this place and the prices and thought for the sake of our wallet I should give this place a chance. And I am so happy I did. I like all of the barbers there except for a man who is in the inner right hand chair. He rushes with my kids which is not happening with me. Everyone else is great though. They do the same cuts my kids got at the other barbers. I usually get different fades for my boys with line ups. And its always clean and even. Definitely switching and becoming a regular. The wait here isn’t as long either! And their prices are MUCH better. $ 11 for each child. Oppose to $ 15 that’s a catch. Don’t knock it before you try it. Heads up: They only take cash!

The place to go for men’s hair cut. 9 $ military discount upto $ 13 everyone else. It’s cash only. But crowded but they know what they are doing and do all sorts if fades as well as medi and long hair. Unless I find a cheaper spot this is my go to place.

This barber shop is located in Waipahu next to Suzie’s. It’s called Family Barber Shop. I think they did that cuz it seems like a family business. There’s kids that go in and out of the shop, usually they stay in that back room. I think the main/best barber is their father. Anyways, the parking lot is shared with the other establishments there(Kuni Restaurant/Lounge, some Phở place, a poke store, and Suzie’s). The shop has adequate seating in the store and a couple benches outside. It’s first come first serve. Even though there’s a ticket number system, people still usually wait for that one good barber. I got my haircut done the older female barber… she’s ok, kinda raked my hair and the buzzer would pull my hair at times. The workers talk Vietnamese to each other quite a bit. Aside from being ok overall, the prices are good. Cheap haircut for a decent price($ 9 military, i think $ 10 for seniors, $ 11 for skin fade, $ 13 for mohawk). Btw, those are price increases effective December 2012, it’s post right at the entrance door. Oh yeah, they only accept cash!

A great haircut at a great price. Military discounts, too!
