It’s a thrift store and pretty pricey — but not as much as savers. My only complaints are that the bathroom is disgusting! No working light and no soap! I mean they make u give ur id for the key and they can’t afford a working light, soap and paper towels? Not to mention — no seat covers and it’s always dirty. I feel like any one that uses it is spreading ecoli and other diseases as they shop once they’ve ventured to the bathroom. Sick.

Considerably smaller than the Kalihi and Kailua branches this neighborhood thrift shop still maintains the organizational and cleanliness standards I appreciate at SA. I also like how SA takes the time to order all clothing by size. Very helpful when browsing. Be aware the Unilocal map shows an incorrect location for this store.

Great place to pick up Hawaiian shirts, otherwise kinda pricey. Really? $ 2-$ 4 for raggedy old used coffee mugs? NO. If you need an Aloha Shirt, stop in, otherwise, this place is ridiculously overpriced. We found an old computer disk game or program of some sort that had a $ 4 sticker affixed OVER the original price of $ 1.99!!! LAME.

As a child I was raised with limited income with not having a mother or a father. I used to go a lot with my grandmother. Until 2013 I always enjoyed their store. In 2013 the Salvation Army released the statement«Homosexuals deserve to die.» I do not and will NOT support a store that bashes any group of people and preaches hate. This just adds to the list of reasons why I believe that religion is c ult. Christmas of last year I refused to even put money into their buckets. I know they do a lot for the community, but to release those kinds of statements and then expect money and help back for yourself, I think not.

Everything has been already been written by the other reviewers which I would wholeheartedly agree with. I tend to think Salvation Army is a genuine charity shop compared to Savers. Sure, it’s a helluva lot smaller but still you can uncover great little gems that may even surpass Savers in price and quality. If you are a true thrifter you have to make the rounds to this SA and the Savers down the road.

Okay, so the first thing about walking into this SA is the weird smell. But I got used to after the first ten minutes of browsing. I stopped in on my way to Savers and glad I did because I found a framed hand etched drawing for ten bucks and an Italian made wallet for three bucks! There were some nice pieces of furniture and other artwork as well, but I’m hoping it’s still there next week since the lady said it should be half price then. Good customer service! I spied a plastic four drawer storage unit for fifteen bucks but someone scooped it up before me, darn! Great buy considering I just paid $ 25 for a three drawer one on sale. I’ll be coming back more often to check out more good here!

Imagine being the Salvation Army that has to operate close to Savers. Please don’t feel bad for the workers here, though. They have a good thing going, and they know it! Laid back but filled with good things, this store is a great find.

this is my favorite SA. i haven’t been there in a while but i alway find something cool. at one point, i was going so often that the cashier knew me and would hook it up! haha… kinda sad cause i sorta felt like i was robbing them or something. especially when i would carry my lv bag. oops. it probably just looked fake in there anyway. a few years ago, i would only feel like wearing SA clothes when i would go out! it’s fun! i once found a new pair of ferragamo pumps there. it’s always a rush when you find something cool after digging through a bunch of crap. i don’t get those fancy vintage shops. why pay for vintage at a premium when i can get it for $ 1? but no matter how many times you wash it, you never can get rid of that weird smell…
