I agree worst customer service and horrible receptionist! Find a job where you do not have to interact with people.

Horrible receptionists! WORSTSERVICE!!! First, they canceled my appointment when I didn’t even call to cancel. I called to see what future dates they had available, but instead they took it as I canceled. I never confirmed a future date and I showed up to my scheduled appointment. When I arrived they lectured me – saying that I had canceled. Second complaint has been how rude the receptionist is with me. There’s no aloha or hospitality. The way they talk to me is very insulting… short words and in a tone that implies I cannot understand medical jargon at all. I’ve worked in the medical field for years, so I get very annoyed when I get nothing but rude responses after asking relevent questions. They are not friendly faces, they are unpleasant, and they seem unhappy in their profession. The third complaint I have is poor service and incompetence. Dr Takaki told me he had a prescription ready for me several times, but every time I went to their office to turn-in my glasses, I find that my prescription isn’t ready. Also, I’ve gone through TWO trials of contacts and each time, they’ve dried my eyes out… Dr. Tajaki tells me «its not dry… it’s all in your head.» Lol. Thanks, doctor. Maybe the doctor is rude to me because the receptionist has misinformed him and told him things I didn’t say. It’s obvious the receptionist has misinformed him because he’s always saying things that make no sense to me. He becomes frustrated quickly and assumes his bad information is my fault. After I explain to him what I told the receptionist, he argues with me and thinks his staff couldn’t possibly be mistaken. It’s very rude and I feel stupid every time I see him. Dr. Takaki seems to talk to non-locals like they’re stupid(well, at least me). It’s hard to explain, but it’s just some of things he says have suggested he’s not happy with those moving to Oahu. I would not recommend this doctor to a friend. Hopefully my next optometrist is better… but that’s not saying much.

Cyndy’s Bottom Line: Excellent service from Kenny in the Optical department! I took my mom in to order her glasses and we were greeted by Kenny. He is such a nice person! We felt so lucky to have him assist us. He was very patient from the start and explained in full detail what options were available in the way of glasses and the insurance coverage too. Kenny even selected a stylish frame that he thought would fit my mom and to have her try it on. She immediately liked it. Kenny went on to mention the in store special of purchasing a second frame which she took full advantage of. We really appreciated the superb customer service we received from Kenny! Mahalo!
