Andy’s Appliance Repair

I had trouble with our Samsung refrigerator not making ice. Every person I called didn’t work on Samsungs, but Casey was very friendly and did a very fast and great job. I would highly recommend Andy’s!

had Wally from Andy’s come to our home to put in a new garbage disposal. He seemed clearly annoyed when he showed up at 5:30pm. He was going to cut corners by NOT using putty around the sink opening prior to placing the gasket. When we asked him to put putty around the sink opening he said he didn’t have any putty. How can someone who replaces garbage disposals for a living have no plumbers putty? Wally left and returned 40 minutes later with putty. We confirmed a price with him the day before of 70.00 We wrote him a check for 70.00 at the completion of the job only to find out that he changed the amount on my check to a higher price. I only found this out by balancing my checking account the week after. I called him to discuss this but he did not return my call. In my message to him I asked him how he could be willing to loose a long term customer for 5.00? I will be searching for a new appliance repair person.

Wally helped solve a dishwasher problem which had us stumped. He was very patient, cordial, honest, and willing to explain what he was doing. We’d use Andy’s again without hesitation.

My complaint with Andy’s is that I had an appointment scheduled between 9:00 and 12:00. Well, they didn’t show up in that timeframe — -didn’t bother to call either. I had to call them at noon to ask why they didn’t show up. Of course, they said that something unexpected came up. Well, I had waited around the house for them for 3-​hours, so I wasn’t happy about them not showing up or calling to let me know what was going on.
They had the appliance part that I needed, so I went ahead and rescheduled. They did get the work done, and it seems to be working thus far. However, I don’t think it is good business to not show up for an appointment when you give a 3-​hour window to get there.
