My Favorite Gift Shop in Wake Forrest ! ! ! This is where I buy almost ALL of the Greeting Cards I buy! Made by Local Artists! They have Bowties for the Gentlemen who can«Rock» a Bowtie! Ladies Clothing! Seasonal Treasures! Very New Addition : Artist Gallery in the back ! ! ! Some Local Artists are Showing their Paintings and some other Artwork! Knitting Club? I was welcome to look around while it seemed a knitting Club was taking place! This IS Wake Forrest! Nice looking shop, Charming Interior, Cool Creaking Hardwood Floors! Very Nice that the Ladies working here! This is the Space where«Lemon Tree» still has a Café, though no longer owns the Gift Shop!

I went inside to see who took over the former Lemon Tree spot. I admit, I wanted to hate Mimosa since I dearly miss The Lemon Tree shop but I did not hate it. Since this place opened recently, I can only hope that they plan to have more in store and perhaps decorate it up a bit because it seemed empty. They had similar items that The Lemon Tree had as far as home décor and some accessories but nowhere near the inventory and choices. I was impressed with the Christmas decorations Mimosa had, including the infamous upside-down Christmas tree that I have seen only a few times in different places over previous holiday seasons. The staff were pleasant enough althoug with being brand new I would have thought they would have engaged us a bit. I am not sure how another gift/home décor shop will make it in the same location if The Lemon Tree did not but perhaps they have some things in store that were not evident on my visit. I look forward to another visit after they have had time to settle in a bit.
