I have been going to Eye Care Associates since the early 1990s. I have used several different offices over the years and was happy there was one in Wake Forest. Initially I saw Dr. Chad Morgan and he was awesome. He seems to have moved to a different office last year. Dr. Jason Price is has replaced him and I find him efficient and professional. The reception staff is friendly and also efficient. However, when checking out and attempting to order contacts, I found a lot lacking. I understand they need to make money and by selling glasses they make it. However, when I state I am not interested in buying new glasses and just want to buy my year supply of contacts I consider the sales pitch to be over. Unfortunately, it was not. I had to decline buying new glasses 4 times. The process of checking out took 35 minutes(seeing the doctor took less than 30). I decided to postpone buying my supply of contacts after seeing the mess it was just to finish checking out. I am extremely disappointed in the process. I’ve been buying contacts for many years from Eye Care Associates and it shouldn’t take 35 minutes to walk out empty handed.

My experience was smooth and easy at MyEyeDr. The whole staff was very professional and friendly. There was minimum wait time on a Saturday morning and I was in and out and happy!

Got a new pair of glasses that were super expensive. They did work so I took them back. Got a new frame but they didn’t come in as I was told in fact they took longer than the first pair. Looks like someone dropped the ball. I’ll pick up my new pair but won’t go back.

I called around mid morning and they gave me an appointment that very afternoon. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. She was also confidently knowledgeable about insurance benefits. The technician who did my initial intake was extremely efficient and polite. The doctor that I saw was also very efficient and explained everything that he was doing. He did not hesitate to answer my questions and his answers were wonderfully succinct. I honestly wish that I had been going to the this Eye Dr. since I first got glasses.

This used to be a wonderful office before they rebranded from Eye Car Associates to My Eye Doctor. The Doctors and nurses are great, but when they transitioned, the office staff became extremely unprofessional. Everytime I call, they complain to me that«their system» is backed up and causing basic functional delays(ex. takes forever to pull up any info). This is expected initially after a company transition, but it has been over a year since they rebranded! I also had the same experience with ordering contacts as a previous reviewer. When I finally went to pick up my new box of contacts(included in my yearly care plan), they handed me a ziplock bag with 3 contact lenses in it and told me I could get more at my next appointment. When I told the receptionist that I was used to getting a whole box, another receptionist had a belittling power trip on me, telling me that’s all I needed and too bad. I found her reaction and attitude very unprofessional and classless. I will be taking my business somewhere else.

Save yourself some time and grief and find another optical center. While I thought the optometrist was nice, the rest of the office seems to be in disarray. I had my eyes checked and ordered a new set of lenses for my existing frames about two weeks before Christmas. The lenses were supposed to come in before Christmas; however, I was surprised that they even offered to have them before the holidays. Of course they were not ready. I was told the order needed to be changed and would receive them on January 4th. I called the office this morning and they told me the lenses came in on Saturday as if I was supposed to be happy about that as they were supposed to call me when they came in. I dropped off my frames at the office around 2 or 3PM to have the lenses put in. Again, I was told they will call… crickets. At about 4:50 I called the office back and I was told they could not find my frames. Again, I was told they will call back today… nope. While I have some other complaints about a lack of basic customer service and courtesy, I don’t think I’m not going to even bother complaining about that; if you can’t get your core job done, what’s the point of being in business. I should have know when there were somebody complaining in the office when I purchased my lenses.

Great people awesome doctor. What’s not to like and they keep your eyeballs working. Dr. Morgan is a great doctor and truly cares about his patients. At first I didn’t think I needed a dilation but I let him dilate and was glad to find there was something behind my eye. Also glad it was not serious just disappointed that the previous doctor I seen at another practice not find anything. I’m truly glad eye care associates is my new doctors for my eye care.

Central serous retinopathy was my diagnosis after going through 3 different doctors. Wake Forest Family Eye Care failed to find it the first 3 times I went in for an appointment with complaints of vision loss in my right eye. The first time I went in, the doc seemed more concerned with selling me 400.00 lenses and stated that because of my astigmatism these particular lenses would solve the problem. I went back about a month later after trying my glasses out and continued to have the same problems with my right eye. The doc did a 5 minute exam and placed the blame on the techs stating that the pupillary distance was probably off and they’d cut a new pair of lenses, no charge. A couple weeks later, I go in, get my lenses and I’m still having the same issues with my right eye. At this point, I’m done… and I’m looking for a new doc. I get some recommendations for a good guy in the Wake Forest area. I explain the problem, and he spends a solid hour doing the most thorough exam I’ve ever had at an Eye Doc’s office. He tells me it looks like Central serous retinopathy and sends me to a retina specialist who confirms his diagnosis. My opinion, you just can’t do a half ass job when it comes to taking care of someone’s vision.
