Excellent food. Breathtakingly poor service. 35 minutes to get the check from completing the meal. Terrible response time, causing a line to get into the restaurant.

We had a great experience at Bellino’s. First, I’ll say that the owner/manager is incredibly friendly, and all the staff is really nice. The food is superb. Pizzas are huge, with a thin and crispy dough and fresh ingredients. Even re-heated the next day, it was still awesome. The Mediterranean salad was fresh and good. And the Haddock special over linguine was as good as it gets. I only have two comments for this restaurant: — The courtesy oil in the table is a nice touch, but would be better if it was in fact actual olive oil and not just generic vegetable oil. — When you mention the specials, if the price is substantially higher than the average dish, you should mention the price along with the description. I didn’t expect mine to be so much more expensive than most of the prices in the menu. The terrace is really pleasant and has partial views to the lake. Relaxing ambiance and good food, with nice people and views… will definitely return!

Went here with my fiancé. Was immediately welcomed by the owner when I walked in. It was a nice day so I asked if we could sit outside. He said absolutely honey give me about 10 minutes and I will get you a table. During the dinner hour rush and it being almost 80 that day I didn’t figure we would be able to sit outside seeing as it is a small seeing area but he got us a table within 10 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and explained to us the specials they were offering that evening. We orders a cup of Italian wedding soup, chicken parm, and chicken & broccoli, and chocholate mousse cake, all of which were delicious. When we received our dinner the owner came over to check to see how our meal was. Really nice place, good food, and really nice people they have working there. Would definately recommend!

I have been coming here for years. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The owners are amazing, Chrysanthi(aka Chris) & Shane, truly a great family. They bring those values to the work place and lead by example. You don’t need to go to the north end when you can come to Bellino’s. Parking in the north end forget about it. The food over in North end is up charged beyond belief and not that tasty. Belino’s always has wide arrange of Italian food, Salad to Steak to Chicken to Pizza back to pasta you have everything the A to the Z. There isn’t a bad pick on the menu. If you have a chance you need to come view the patio with great views of the lake. Bobby the GM he does everything. He has great European background and makes you feel at home. He treats every customer with respect. Bobby is a stand up kinda guy.

My husband and I were on our way home from a shopping trip and thought we might pick up a pizza, but then decided to have a drink at the bar and eat there. We were immediately welcomed by the hostess and the owner, who was tending bar for the evening was very welcoming and warm. He introduced himself right away, then said«Welcome home.» This made us feel so welcome and glad that we decided to eat in. We had some bread, oil, and wine, which was all delicious! Then after we heard that there was an app special for arancini we went for it and they were great! The owner was excellent to accommodate our request for a pizza with what we wanted on it,(sausage, roasted red peppers, and Carmelites onions) and it was amazing! Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were so wonderful that we can’t wait to come back!

The bartender and owner alone give this place 5 stars hands down. Friendliest, pat welcoming restaurant you will ever done at. Felicia at the bar is by far one of the best, if not THE best, bartenders you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. I’m so sick of the hipster, too-cool-for-school bartenders nowadays. What happened to service and hospitality? Well you will find that at Bellino’s for sure! They really know how to make you feel happy and comfortable and are genuinely happy to see you and you dine with them. I have never had a bad meal, and they will work with you and give you honest reviews of their dishes so that you can pick the perfect meal for you. Pizza is thin crust and delicious– sweeter sauce, but if you’re into that then you will NOT be disappointed. I actually like sweeter sauces on pizza– it means less acidity which means no heartburn! Hey there’s always looking out for their customers over there at Bellino’s ;) Very happy we found this place. It’s so close to home and we have become frequent bar diners. So have my in-laws, they love it there! Felicia is the best!

Bellino’s is great! I only have and only will get one dish there, but I’m obsessed with it. Some shrimp marsala risotto special they run. To absolutely die for. I bet it’s loaded with cream and butter up the wazoo, but I don’t even mind — it’s that good. I’ve called ahead and asked if they are running it and if they say no, I pick somewhere else. That’s probably terrible, because I’m sure other things here are great. Actually, I went to a christening«after-party» one day they catered in their dining room. Everything was perfect. This place is a perfect spot for one of those Sat or Sun morning things like showers or baptisms, etc. They do a fantastic job and prices are reasonable. Wine prices here are also great. Always ordering the Montepulciano for like 20 bucks, can’t beat it.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with friends and was far from impressed. Our waitress seemed to be bothered by our being there, she was unfriendly, short and emotionless in speaking, and generally seemed to have no desire to be there. I ordered a bowl of minestrone soup, which was maybe cup size, but certainly not bowl size, and I could swear was $ 4.99 on the filthy, wine stained menu, but was $ 5.99 on the bill. It was fairly flavorless broth with some onions, tiny carrot pieces, a strip or two some leafy green, and a huge mound of soggy celery. Apparently I don’t know what normally goes in minestrone, but I’m nearly positive it has beans and pasta, none to be found here. It sucked. It sucked worse than canned soup. My friend’s salads looked ok but very small for the $ 9.99 price tag. I’m glad I wasn’t actually hungry…

Fabulous family owned restaurant, first time here tonight. I had a great meal and felt welcome from the moment I walked in. Sat at the bar for dinner & wine, the bartender was friendly and got everything right. I’ll definitely go back.

I truly do love the place. The owner is so friendly and the staff is great and the food is really good, one of the best pizzas! However, once in a while we get a pizza that smells/tastes like sweaty gym socks(only way I can think to describe it) I’m not sure if it’s a type of cheese they use or what but it smells like sweat sometimes! Hoping they figure it out and stop using that cheese! Otherwise, it is great! Anyone else have this problem?

Ok… let me start off by saying I applaud the owner who goes above and beyond to say hello to every customer that enters his restaurant. Seriously… I don’t think I’ve ever NOT been greeted. On the contrary– the food– I bought lobster raviolis that were not bad, though not great either. It was a very small portion with tomatoes in it and I was absolutely stunned by the price. $ 23.99 for a small portion of lobster ravioli with 3 small pieces of stale bread??? Are you kidding?! I could go to another restaurant in Wakefield and get the same or bigger portion of lobster ravioli with SHRIMP not small diced tomatoes for literally half that price. Not on here to promote other restaurants, however I felt that my experience with this one was not consistent with the phrase«you get what you pay for» because I paid a whole lot more than what I got!

My boyfriend and I went here last night for date night. We were welcomed by a very enthusiastic, very charismatic host. We had the option to sit whenever we wanted, which I appreciate since typically they tell you where to. Maybe I wanted a high top? Or maybe I did want a more quite setting in the back. We opted for next to the bar. The bread was very fluffy, but delicious !!! And they gave us more then plenty to munch on before our meals … Which were also, equally amazing. I got the tortellini and boyfriend got the shrimp & artichoke. I can say his was really good. But this was easily the best tortellini I had ever had. The cheese, the pasta, perfect shapes & the sauce was to die for. Doesn’t hurt that the sangria was probably the best sangria I have had in a long time. I know most people only look at the stars. But if you’re this far down on my review– I strongly recommend you check this place out. Maybe even bring someone here on a date night & get extra kisses like my boyfriend got for taking me.

The Best Girlfriend Ever had a gift card, so we came for dinner on a Friday night. We were greeted quickly and cheerfully. It was temperate, so we sat at a table on the patio. Some bread came out very quickly, but it was just about tasteless. I mean, it wasn’t bad-tasting, it wasn’t good tasting, it didn’t taste yeasty, it didn’t taste like bread. So we poured a bit of olive oil on our plates and dipped the bread in it. The olive oil was equally tasteless. Honest, it could have been canola for all the flavor it had. I would think that an Italian restaurant worth its salt would know good bread and extra virgin olive oil. Can’t speak to the quality of the alcoholic drinks, but the iced tea had a weird flavor to it. The water was good, though. Our waitress, also cheerful and friendly if a bit overworked-seeming, read us the specials and we ordered the fried calamari appetizer. «Special» was not the word I’d associate with this dish. It consisted of a small portion of tiny, over-breaded rings and no tentacles whatsoever, served with some red sauce which seemed like nothing so much as plain ground canned tomatoes. I was glad we weren’t paying the $ 11 for this ourselves. We split an entrée of cheese ravioli with portabello mushrooms and roasted red peppers in a cream sauce. Both of us liked it. I thought it needed some additional pepper to bring out the flavors. The ravioli themselves were innocuous — I’ve bought similar ones in the supermarket’s frozen food section — but they worked well with the sauce. The patio looks across Route 129 to the lake, so there was a nice view but a lot of traffic noise. At least the rain kept the bikers away from their usual hangout at the Honey Dew Donuts next door.(Nothing against bikers, but the machines are noisy.) We liked all the staff, and the owner/manager was nice, but if you’re going to serve Italian food in the restaurant town of Wakefield, you really need to step up your game. That means good bread, good olive oil, fresh ingredients and vivid seasoning. I’d like to see these nice people succeed, but that will require them to pay better attention to the food.

More often I remember to give good feedback than bad which is why this has taken me a bit — One June 6 my mom asked me to grab lunch for my bday — her treat! I was excited to suggest we try Bellino’s. I looked at the menu and I always saw it when walking the lake. We got there and were seated. We were served water that was icky so we ordered sodas and thoughts splitting a white pizza was a good plan! The pizza was GROSS, If it were $ 4 and frozen and heated in my toaster oven I’d have thought it was as to be expected… the soda was flat and yucky(ooops made with same icky water). Food aside the wait staff shuffled tables around us almost our whole meal, Drag, clank clunk! This was not the fresh air lunch and my poor mom felt horrible. I have worked in food service and think this place could use some help!

I eat out quite often as you can see if you look at my Unilocal reviews. The places I visit vary from average Pizza Shops to top end restaurants. I can honestly say never in my life have I been so disappointed in a restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and the location across from the lake is great. The perfect setting for a hopeful meal with friends. To celebrate two of us beating cancer this year. There was four of us for dinner snd drinks. The drinks were average and the appetizers were ok that is about were the pleasantries ended. I ordered the scallops special $ 27. I cut one suspect scallop into quarters and gingerly tasted it to find it un edible. My meal was done. The whole time we sat it remained untouched and my 3 dinner companions kept mentioning all they could smell was my meal. When it came time to pay the waitress finally asked how it was and I politely told her I was sorry but it was just really not good. She gave me a very annoyed look and walked away without a word. The bill came($ 185.04) and the the inedible meal for $ 27 was still on the bill. One of my friends quietly got up and spoke to the manager who informed her the seafood was fresh and he wouldn’t take it off the bill because the food was fresh and he needed to pay his chefs. I have NEVER seen such poor customer service or lack of caring about a customer in all my years. We think nothing of dropping a couple hundred dollars on a meal all the time, but I can tell you none of us will EVER eat here again and you can be damn sure I will advise all others the same. I have never left a restaurant before with such a feeling of disgust. UPDATE This restaurant full of all its arrogance decided to alter the tip and figured this terrible service deserved an extra $ 34. I went to the bank reversed the charges and have contacted the BBB. When the establishment was called they tried to say that it is mass law to tip. Nice try. That is theft and will be delt with as such. In all my life I have never not tipped no matter how bad the place or service was not to mention 20% is normally what I give poor service. This is the first and hopefully last. But a tip is just that. Its gratuities for good service. Its something earned. It was not earned. Update 2 Manager called my wife and apologized this afternoon for how he handled all of this. Thank you for that at least.

My husband and I took Dad here for Father’s Day. The rain cleared up in time for us to eat outside. Bobby, the owner moved tables to accommodate us. Our meals were delicious! My Father-In-Law got the baked Haddock and loved it. My husband and I got veal Parmesean and Chicken Parmesan, both tender and delish! We’ll be back!

I have been to Bellino’s with my girlfriend’s family a couple of times. This place is amazing. The owner Bobby is very friendly and greets every guest with undivided attention. The meals are extraordinary. I usually get seafood and everything is very fresh and hot. It’s reasonably priced and comes in good portion. The drinks are awesome as well. It’s a very good restaurant and I love being in that area specially in the summertime. We will definitely be coming back a lot!!!
