Just ate at Camdens with my family after a visit to URI. Was a bit nervous based on the reviews. Turned out to be a great experience. Nacho appetizer with chili. Slamming! The chili was awesome. Five of us ate and were satisfied. Then came the burgers and fish sandwich(flounder). Portions were large, nice tall buns and french fries were large and good. The waiters were extremely friendly and attentive. We were so glad to have chosen this place. Normally wouldn’t give 5 stars but the service pushed the four to five.

Great place — service can be slow but food is awesome. Their specials are great and the food has improved over the years. My wife and I go weekly and its always good.

Came here for breakfast. Everything was just average. Coffee was just terrible and cold.

Waitstaff was welcoming, charming, and professional. Surroundings somewhat dated, but clean and well/maintained. Food mediocre. Extensive menus, but none served were well-prepared or presented in an interesting way.

I hate doing this since I’ve been going here for quite a while. Our family comes here for Easter also and has been for at least 10 years or more. They took my favorite dish off the menu(Chicken Marsala,) and replaced it with Carmella’s Chicken which is greasy and not as flavorful. One of the reasons we came to Camden’s for Easter celebrations was because my Mother and I and SIL love Lamb. That too was missing from the Easter menu. So I chose the stuffed chicken instead(my SIL choose the Prime Rib.) The chicken was dry, the stuffing had a gummy texture and over all the dish was about as good as what you’d find at a cafeteria. My SIL told me her Prime Rib wasn’t cooked correctly and she was disappointed with most of what was on her plate. I’m not sure why the changes were made but I asked what happened in the kitchen. Did the chef leave? The waitress told me that he hadn’t left, there were just the changes. This rating is so low because the quality and changes here for me, are profound. I came here for those two particular dishes which are hard to find. And they were delicious too! What a sad sad disappointment.

Camden’s is a hidden jewel inside a south county bowling alley with 3 different dining experiences under 1 roof. 1. Old school diner 2. Casual dining 3. Great bar. The food is always good with big portions. Friendly staff. When they have the Osso Bucco you must try it!!!

Nice people, food is decent, didn’t give us any bread like I used to in past times coming here, other tables got some except ours. I really liked that bread.

Whether you going to sit in the Diner side or the Restaurant, Camden’s is a local staple. The service and the quality here have never faltered over the years. This family-owned business consistently supports fellow business and organization on top of supply everyone in town with home-cook style meals. Love going in and seeing the same faces day after day… year after year. True sign of quality right there!

This place is great. Initially I was going somewhere else, but they were closed so my friend and I went here instead. Best coincidence ever! The waitress was attentive and the entire waitstaff was very cheerful. They also knew the menu well enough to recite it and describe certain dishes. The atmosphere was great. An interesting combination of casual, yet also sort of classy pictures to appeal to all at eye level and some beer logo portraits to cater to the college crowd. Finally, the food! This is where it both maintains and loses some merit. My friend loved her classic reuben sandwich and I got the baked scrod. The scrod was cooked fine, but it seems unlikely it was fresh or local, as it said on the menu, going by the taste. The green beans and mashed potatoes were good, but all could’ve done with a little more seasoning. Seafood in particular needs some salt to bring out its natural flavors and once I added that, the dish was spectacular. Lemonade was fresh-squeezed and delicious. The dessert though, oh my god, this chocolate chip cookie pie was incredible. Overall, Camden’s is a great place to eat and I’d recommend it to anyone in the area looking for some cheap and delicious pub food.

Being a former employee slightly biased I found the service to be pretty good bar is good bowling is good unfortunately the food is very blah although for the over 65 clientele it’s probably ok I am more of an adventurous eater not my thing the owners are very nice and accommodating definitely recomend bowling there

I heard from my BF’s family that the food was great… they were not kidding. I had the Fish and Chips and it was nice and crispy. The fish was flaky and nicely done on the inside. The fries were well done and they had a good crunch to them. It started as a restaurant for the bowling alley and now is a full service restaurant with bar. Overall nice selection of items, nice specials too.

Went last week for lunch, sat at the bar with Cindy. Had a VERY good Chicken parm. sandwich and french fries. Hands down the best Grapenut pudding EVER!
