A real, old fashioned hardware store. Well stocked with just about everything. Such a treat instead of the True Value, Ace stores that have very little.
Knowledgeable clerks who know their merchandise and where to find it.

Hands down one of the best local hardware stores I’ve ever been in! Seems small but they literally seem to have anything. Employees are all super nice and personable. You have a problem, something you can’t fix right down to wiring they will go to bat finding a solution. Dave, the owner is a walking Rolodex of people and places who can do things. As an antiques dealer I constantly have old things that need a part that no longer exists, or need to modified/updated, awkward rewiring — they are my first stop. And they are quick!

I always try Damon’s first, before I make the trek to those big-box stores. Need one bolt? Need one drill bit? Need a can of Rustoleum, a bag of cement, salt for your icy driveway? Everything you need (in the right amount!) is here. And don’t bother looking for it, just go to the counter and ask, and your errand is done in five minutes or less. This is your old, dusty, irreplaceable, fabulous hardware store. And I can’t say enough good things about the flooring department, too. It’s not splashy, over-lit, and beautiful, but again, it has everything you need and want, with a helpful person to find it for you. Why go anywhere else? Well, okay, sometimes you have to, but you always end up wishing you had just ordered it at Damon’s and spent five minutes picking it up, instead.

Paint, screws, nuts & bolts, mailbox, flooring, keys, you can’t find it somewhere else… COME HERE! Dave will hook you up ;0)
Screw Walmart & Home Depot & Lowes… those stores are putting places just like this outta business!

I love Damon’s. It’s an old style hardware store that carries regular hardware items like nails and tools electrical supplies and plumbing items. It also carries other items like coal scuttles, composting bins and seasonal items like fishing gear in the summer. It’s cramped like an old 5 and Dime but the people there can find anything and mostly know what’s in the shop. It’s not spacious like Home Depot with organized rows of tools and supplies. But what it lacks in looks it makes up for in experience and knowledge. It’s been around my whole life and whenever we couldn’t find something in any other hardware store we usually went to Damon’s and found it. Don’t feel overwhelmed. Step up to the counter and ask the clerks for help. They know what to do and where to look.
