Lovely Bed and Breakfast, clean, with comfortable accommodations close to where we wanted to visit, the mansions in Newport. We checked in, were given some suggestions for dinner and returned to a comfortable bed in a well appointed room. I tried it as it was much less expensive than a B&B in Newport itself and I was not disappointed. The wifi is a little tricky, but it really wasn’t an issue, as we were there for de-stressing and relaxing. Rooms are typical country style bedding, rustic bathrooms with lovely victorian architecture. Breakfast was the usual coffee, tea, baked goods, fruit, yogurt spread, with a baked bread breakfast dish and a side of sausages on Sunday. I would recommend this as a nice place to stay, on par with pricing of bed and breakfasts in the area.

First off let me say i had no idea where i was going as my boyfriend was surprising me with a couple of nights at a B&B. When he did tell me i did a quick bit of research and found out that some of the rooms didn’t have private bathrooms. For me that’s crazy but he called and Mr. Eden was kind enough to give us a room with private bath. Thank you! The manor is HUGE! with winding staircases in the front and back. I really wanted to explore cause i was so curious but i didn’t want to be rude. In any event we also decided to stay an extra night and they were able to accommodate us without a problem. The room itself was decorated in floral pink which was very sweet the full sized bed was very comfortable. I loved it’s location as it was just close to everything we weren’t even twenty minutes from the port to Block Island and there’s a great Oyster bar not five minutes away which i recommend to everyone who visits. A shot out to Mrs. Eden who was cordial and sweet and stayed to speak to each of her patrons making sure everyone was well attended. We are definitely going back!

Got a dog, visiting your son or daughter at URI? This is the place for you ! Great location and the grounds are great. My wife and I love this place very homey and a really neat house. Rooms are huge. Location is perfect near the beaches and close to campus, better than any of the hotels in the area and extremely comfortable. Take it from a jaded New Yorker this is a really convenient and comfortable stop when in Rhode Island.

We’ve been staying here, off and on, for many years. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the rooms in this former 19th Century rest home all have high ceilings and lovely, gracious Victorian beds and many of the rooms have fireplaces. It is an excellent jumping off point to explore various parts of Southern Rhode Island, including Newport, Jamestown, and even Block Island, since the ferry is just a few miles away. We particularly like staying during the holidays since the inn is decorated so nicely.
