This place is where to get a sandwich in Wakefield. I always thought how badly this area needed a place that put an extra few minutes into making carry-out dishes, similar to what you might find in a city or a town that has a bit of culture. It doesn’t matter what you pick on the menu; it will be made with more care than anything else from the area, especially for lunch. It’s downtown Wakefield’s answer to Geoff’s in Providence, and I’m thankful we have this gem.

I was not impressed, but its across the street from work, so i thought i would walk over and give it a shot. I don’t like going to places that don’t serve beer for lunch… but, what can you do, not many good places to have a meal in this town. i eat out for breakfast lunch and dinner, so i would know.

Five 90 is the complete opposite of fast food. The ingredients in every sandwich, salad, and burrito are carefully thought out and perfectly executed. My favorite is the southwest burrito with roasted vegetables. I think about it all the time which I know is weird but it’s that good.

I seriously must have driven, walked, and ran by this place 50 times before I went here for a bite after an awesome coworker raved about the food here. This place is NOJOKE!!! Yes, you might say it is a few dollars more than Subway — but we are comparing apples to mango’s here! They make the FRESHEST most delicious sandwiches. I just had the Veggie wrap today, seriously the best I have ever had!!! It was a yummy blend of veggies, not big bland soggy pieces of zucchini and squash held together in 2 lbs of bright orange cheddar. The roast beef is so tender, pretty sure someone without teeth could chew it! They are open 11a-3:30 pm and take credit/debit. This is a great spot, don’t run by and miss it. P. S. It is right off the bike path!!!

Nathan really can’t screw anything up! Ask for a fresh, from scratch, hand-made lemonade, haven’t found anything better in Wakefield! My favorites are the Turkey club with bacon and avocado-thick, fat, juicy… Also love the Chicken Caesar Wrap, Chicken Salad, and if you have one meal today, the Southwest Chicken or Pork Burrito will sustain you until breakfast(It’s not quite a football sized burrito but it’s H U G E!). Don’t hesitate to stop by but, hey, leave some food for us locals, will ya?!

I am in love… If you are EVER in the Main St. area in Wakefield, head up onto Robinson Street and find this place… Did I mention I was in love… Holy good sandwich! I had the Incredible 590, on Rye with no bacon. Comes with bag o’chips, I had a drink in the car. I unfortunately had to get it to-go to finish up some errands. I get home to chow down… they wrap the pickle so my pressed sandwich doesn’t get all soggy(LOVETHAT) & then I take a bite… angels are singing, time slows down & I fell in love with a new food. Nice fresh Roast Beef, RARE, just how I like it, and shaved… it was so tender… Did I mention I am in love yet??? The place has been there for a little while, and I kept meaning to go & check it out. I am now kicking my self in the you-know-whatissss for NOTGOINGINEARLIER! I can’t wait to go back, I am already drooling a little just thinking about it. I have already told like 5 people that the must go there, it hasn’t even been 24 hours! Everyone of my «local» SK area friends on here… GO! You will not be disappointed! This is what I had… THEINCREDIBLEFIVE-90: Roast Beef, Provolone, Sauteed Spinach, Caramelized Red Onion, Guacamole, and 1000 Island… and bacon, of course…$ 7.50 I have to add that I had a REALLY hard time choosing b/c every menu item sounded soooooo good! Keep up the good work!

Seriously, the best sandwiches I’ve had in RI period. I live on the West Coast at the moment. Five90 is in my home town. I eat there all of the time when I’m home now. I wish this place was around when I was growing up :) My choice picks would have to be the steak n cheese or the Five90 Club. Both are spectacular. Their unique interpretation of the Steak n Cheese is different but quite tasty. You’ll see what I mean if you get one. They actually roast their own meats fresh daily. Even their mac n cheese is made with at least 5 kinds of real cheese. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it. They are only open during lunch or pick up only for dinner. Dinner menu changes daily. Best to call to see what they’re serving ahead of time. I recommend this place to locals and travelers. Enjoy!
